We booked this hotel to attend the Medica Fair in Dusselforf during Nov.17-20,2025. The factor we selected this hotel is the short disrance between hotel and Dusseldorf Central Train Station. The room is very clean and very quited. The breakfast is western style. Hotel environment is very good even it located near railway station. There is a police station beside the Central railway station. Hotel security is very good.
Welcome

We look forward to your visit.

The three letters t, a, and b stand for Tokyo, Art & Beer – and thus for the cultural diversity that makes Düsseldorf so exciting and unique. Inspired by the trendy "Little Tokyo," home to Germany's largest Japanese community, the vibrant art scene, and the traditional Altbier (alt beer), the design reflects Asian accents, rustic furniture, and modern wall art.
Relax in our stylish Living Lobby, meet friends, or use the co-working space, with free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The 24-hour reception is always available for helpful tips, support, or light snacks. In the morning, we welcome you with a rich breakfast buffet.

Welcome to the heart of the city!
Have to say the room is okay especially the toilet and shower ,but only one curtain in between is not too pleasant for shower water . Blanket i like -warm and light ,not too big for complicated handling. Surprised me no table no sofa no chair in the room ,and have been told that in case i need i should ask the receiption to change the room -it is the first time to hear .Anyway i went thru … Location is good ,very handy to go to the hbf Dusseldorf ,while there is a lake in front -quite some swans and wild geese /ducks on the water ,very nice to watch them. Only 400m to walk to reach the metro station ,then going to many destinations; From Airport to the hotel ,quite short distance ,by train also possible it you do not have too much luggage. By walking distance also can reac the Japanese Street ,as well the king street … Giving a thumbs up ref to the breakfast - kinds of rolls /bread,cheese ,salad, sausage ,museli, tea, coffee ,yogurt ,whatever you would like to have ,really more than plenty ,and also always seats available ,as the capacity is really big enough ,never will forget this breakfast ! Off course room rate reached the roof but can understand everyone will take this advantage to charge ,as hotel is also some kind of business! Will definitely stay here again for the future ! Recommend you to choose this Holiday Inn -the niu tab Dusseldorf ! Thanks !

It is basically next to the Central Station. Very spacious room with a nice kitchen setup including induction stove, fridge, dish washer. Also there is a dedicated washing machine for the room. Although we didn’t use them due to short stay, we appreciate all the amenities. I enjoyed using the pool btw. It has windows on the ceiling. I could look at the sky while floating at the pool. The pool was not big but it was only me there. So good enough. The things I slightly don’t like are: 1. It is noisy due to passing trains. But it can be solved by closing the window. 2. The bed and pillows are quite soft. Overall it was a nice stay.

This small hotel from a private owner overwelmed my expectations for one of the lowest fares spent in Düsseldorf: nice Service, clean and quite room. Super.

Hotel is good, room service is nice, staff is kind. Facilities are generally in a good condition. Unfortunately, it only has one elevator, so, please avoid to use it during the peak hours. Also, dining hall is quite small, you may have to sit outside at the bar area. 😂

Relatively basic but clean and comfortable hotel, unbeatable location in Düsseldorf main station. Super convenient as we had to reach several locations by public transportation as well as local train. Breakfast is excellent! I have stayed there before and would definitely come back!

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel features a sleek, modern design with an excellent location near the station. While the rooms are compact, they are very clean and functional, making it a perfect choice for a short city break.
WWaixiI recently stayed at the Medici Lifestyle Hotel and had a lot to say about the experience. The hotel has a very unique style, as if you were in a museum, and the overall atmosphere and decoration were impressive.
Pros:
Specialty style: The hotel's decoration style is very unique and full of artistic atmosphere. Whether it is the lobby, corridors or public areas, there are many artworks and antiques, as if you are in a private museum, which is very worth watching.
Location: The hotel is located in the city center, surrounded by many attractions and restaurants, and it is very convenient to travel. This saves us a lot of time and energy when visiting the city.
Service: The hotel's service is very thoughtful. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out procedures are very smooth. The room service is also timely and meets our various needs.
Facilities: The hotel has complete facilities, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the beds are comfortable. The gym and other public facilities are also well maintained and very convenient to use.
Cons:
Decoration in the room: Although the overall style is unique, the decoration in the room can sometimes make people feel a little scary. The design of some artworks and antiques is exaggerated, which may not suit every guest's taste, especially when alone at night, it may feel uncomfortable.
Overall, the Medici Life Hotel is a very special accommodation choice. Its unique museum style and artistic environment are very suitable for travelers who like art and culture. Although the decoration in the room may be a bit scary, it does not affect the overall accommodation experience. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure vacation, it can provide a unique place to stay.
AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. The location was also very convenient, close to shops and attractions. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
GGuest UserWe were greeted for our 3 night stay, by the friendliest and most helpful reception staff we have come across. Denisse and (not sure on the spelling)Lili, went out of their way to help us with any questions we had about the area and with a smile.
Our room was spacious, clean and welcoming.
The bed was comfortable and having the choice of a firm or soft pillows, was a nice touch.
DDEMHAI recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Düsseldorf and overall had a mixed experience.
Location
The hotel is situated in a somewhat secluded area with a mix of residential buildings and ongoing development. It can feel a bit uneasy at night, although I never felt genuinely unsafe. The city centre is about a 30-minute walk, or you can take the underground, which is more convenient.
Parking
Parking is available onsite and is secure and spacious, which is a plus. However, at €30 per night, it feels quite expensive. There are some spaces outside the hotel, but signage is unclear and I wasn’t confident about leaving a car there overnight.
Customer Service
This was one of the weaker points. The staff weren’t particularly welcoming, and flexibility was limited — check-in is strictly at 3pm with no room for early access. While this may reflect a more typical German service style, it did come across as lacking warmth and customer focus.
Room & Facilities
The rooms are clean, modern, and functional — exactly what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express. However, a major frustration was the TV being locked in hotel mode, meaning HDMI inputs were disabled. I wanted to connect my own device but couldn’t. Staff were not helpful in resolving this, despite it being a relatively simple fix with the correct code.
There’s also not much happening in the hotel beyond a small bar, so limited in-house entertainment options made the TV issue more noticeable.
Breakfast (Highlight)
Breakfast was definitely the standout feature. A great selection of fresh fruits, hot food, and bakery items — everything was well-presented and genuinely tasty.
Overall Verdict
The hotel offers good value for money, with clean and comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. However, it’s let down by:
• The slightly isolated location
• Lack of customer-focused service
• Expensive parking
• Frustrating in-room limitations (TV restrictions)
The TV issue alone would make me hesitate to return. That said, if you’re looking for a clean, affordable stay and don’t mind the trade-offs, it’s still a reasonable option.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were very kind.
The towels were fluffy, pure white, and high-quality.
The sheets were clean, and the room was thoroughly cleaned.
There was an in-room oil heater, so I could easily adjust the temperature.
From the window of my 6th-floor room, I could see the birds chirping in formation in the apartment across the street.
The shower had plenty of water pressure, although adjusting the temperature was a little difficult.
The room itself is old, but the walls had been nicely repainted.
One thing to note, however, is that the elevator only goes up to the 5th floor, so if you're assigned a single room on the 6th floor, you'll have to carry your heavy suitcase up the stairs by yourself. If you're not confident in your physical strength and mobility, it's best to choose a room on the 5th floor or lower.
ZZHENGRONGThe breakfast at the hotel is very good, I like it very much, the variety is good, the taste is good. My room was found to have obvious stains on the bed at the night of check-in. Due to the late time, I can only deal with it sloppyly. Serve the little brother, and he said that he immediately handled all the room hygiene, which is very satisfactory.
PPeterKA comfortable and cozy small hotel in a very convenient location next to a streetcar stop. It is about 15 minutes by bus from the airport and also about fifteen minutes directly on the streetcar to the downtown so it is easy to get anywhere. There are several restaurants and a small market across the street and several supermarkets and many more restaurants and shops in walking distance. The staff were friendly and speak English. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size. A small bathroom and the main disadvantage no air conditioning but the room was pretty comfortable with the small fan they provide. The breakfast was great with many choices. The WiFi worked well and the tv had a few English and foreign channels. A good value for money and a good location if you like to see a normal neighborhood but convenient to get around. I would stay again.
Www521The hotel is relatively new and convenient for transportation. It is about 10 minutes' drive from the Düsseldorf Exhibition Hall. The breakfast is quite rich, but the cost is a bit high during the exhibition.
