What can I say, Yeyu has simply got to be hands down, the best place that I have stayed in during my entire Yunnan trip. I am amazed and wasn't expecting it to be this great. I know the idea of staying in a luxury hotel doesn't seem to be something that goes hand in hand with hiking (I say this from my experience of having hiked in several other places before where the key highlight is the natural setting itself), but I have to say that it was really soothing for the soul. My girlfriend and I loved this place! The hotel is tastefully designed at every corner and angle and we can appreciate that a lot of creativity and thought was put into designing this place. The aesthetics is very pleasing to the eye and embraces the natural scenery really well. We also loved the homage it pays to the area's ******* roots such as the photographs displayed in the room (young ******* monks playing and the ******* gazelles in the bathroom) and also all the books about Tibet, Yunnan province that is in the library and living room space. The service provided by the staff was top notch, very attentive and caring. We were always asked if there's anything that the staff can do for us be it preparing a plate of fresh fruits, preparing some drinks for us when we were lounging at the living area and another completely unexpected one was when we returned from the Sacred Waterfall hike with our shoes filled with mud, the hotel staff kindly asked us to leave our shoes with him and it came back the next day fully cleaned, placed in front of our rooms. The lovely service provided was just simply amazing and for this, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the lovely staff at Yeyu who provided us with such a beautiful memory of our too brief stay here and thank you so much for the room upgrade. If I could organise this trip again, I would have liked to stay here much longer to be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. Please believe me when I say that it is completely worth every yuan. PS: Please note that there are two Yeyu Hotels in Yubeng, one near the pond and the other near the temple. We stayed at the one near the temple. Both of them are beautiful in their distinctive ways.

Overall, it was a great stay. The hotel thoughtfully provided tips for altitude sickness in the room and prepared items and facilities to combat it, such as Coke, oxygen packs, and an oxygen supply system. The decor leans towards a Wabi-sabi style, and the buckwheat pillows were very comfortable to sleep on. You can watch the 'golden sun illuminating the mountain' from the 4th floor. Service: After booking this time, the hotel offered a ******* costume photoshoot experience. ******* clothes and headwear were available in the hotel lobby. After the shoot, we received 3 free original photos. This was a collaboration with NICO Travel Photography. The photographer was very professional 📷, snapped great shots 👍, was excellent at composition and finding the right light, and even guided our poses. We got the photos quickly, and then back at the hotel, a dedicated staff member helped us choose the best ones. The entire process was very pleasant, and we got some amazing 'life photos' – fantastic!

Originally, I wanted to book the Songtsam Linka Shangri-La, but there weren't enough rooms for our group, so this time I booked Jiuxia Mountain at the last minute, considering it's a well-established brand! I didn't expect any major issues, but the actual stay far exceeded my expectations! As a long-time Ctrip user (and a bit of a critic), I rarely write reviews, but this time I want to particularly thank all the service staff at Jiuxia Mountain Meili. One of the children in our group suffered from altitude sickness, and from the young lady at the front desk to the bellhop who proactively took us to the hospital, their sincerity went beyond ordinary service. It felt so natural, not forced or perfunctory. From now on, Jiuxia Mountain has been added to my personal must-visit travel list! I believe this is a perfect embodiment of the company's values! I wish the Jiuxia Mountain team all the best and many more successful projects!

I chose Snow Mountain Awakens Hotel this time, fulfilling my dream of ”lying down and watching the snow-capped mountains”! The huge floor-to-ceiling windows framed the snow-capped mountains like a painting. In the morning, I didn't have to jostle with crowds at the observation deck; I just opened my eyes and drew the curtains to witness the breathtaking moment of the golden sun illuminating the peaks. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't perfect, but the intermittently visible Meili Snow Mountain still left me speechless. 🛋️ As someone concerned about altitude sickness, the room was equipped with diffused oxygen and underfloor heating throughout, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep without any of the usual discomfort at high altitudes. The smart room control system was also very convenient, and the full set of Bvlgari toiletries showed real thoughtfulness. 🥘 We had dinner directly at the hotel restaurant, and you really *have* to try their stir-fried yak meat!!! The meat was tender, every dish was incredibly generous in portion, and the restaurant also offered direct views of Meili Snow Mountain. 🎇 The hotel's special activities were also full of ritual. There's a fireworks show every night at 7:50 PM, followed by a documentary on Meili at 9:00 PM, offering an immersive understanding of the stories of the sacred mountains of Tibet. In the morning at 9:30 AM, there's a morning Sang offering, where a mixture of cypress branches, barley, tsampa, and other fragrant ingredients are burned, with the pure smoke offered to the deities to convey gratitude, purification, and prayers.

The location is absolutely stunning, facing the thirteen peaks of Meili directly. The design and service perfectly match the unique setting, with breathtaking viewing spots on floors 2-6. The interior design also shows excellent taste. The facilities are comprehensive, with dispersed oxygen supply throughout the entire building, plus a medical oxygen machine on the first floor – an absolute lifeline in a high-altitude region. The service is attentive and just right, never overbearing. Free laundry and drying services are available, making for a superb stay. We watched the starry sky at night and waited for the 'golden peaks' sunrise in the morning. Although only the 'golden tips' appeared that day, it was lucky enough given the rainy season. Breakfast was also top-notch. I look forward to experiencing an even grander 'golden peaks' sunrise on my next visit!

The hotel's location is superb; every room offers an unobstructed view of Mount Kawagebo, though seeing it does depend on luck! The rooms are well-equipped, clearly reflecting the owner's taste. In the early morning, seeing the balcony filled with tourists who have traveled from afar to witness the towering snow-capped peak, I felt truly inspired by choosing this hotel!

The room was fantastic, with a balcony directly overlooking the snow-capped mountains. They thoughtfully provided two foot bath tubs. We were quite tired upon arrival at the village, and soaking our feet completely refreshed us, making us ready to head straight to the glacial lake the very next day – what a thoughtful touch! The chicken soup noodles were delicious, and the packed lunch they provided for our journey was great too. The resident cat was adorable!

This hotel is amazing, highly recommend! You get direct views of the Meili Snow Mountain from both the hotel restaurant and the rooms. The large terrace offers stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. The front desk staff and the butler who assisted us were super nice, and the kids loved it too. We were very satisfied and will definitely book here again next time.

We stayed in Yubeng during a week when access to the village was closed, and we were the only guests at the hotel. It’s located near the trailhead to Ice Lake and not too far from Lower Yubeng and the Sacred Waterfall (the return hike is steep, but anyone coming to this place should be prepared for long and demanding walks!). There was no room service during our stay (like trash collection), but the hosts were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was very tasty and fairly priced — especially considering the logistical challenges of stocking the kitchen. The room is simple but comfortable. The towels are disposable, which is a bit strange at first, but you get used to it (they actually dry you well). The view from the hotel balcony is unbelievable — definitely worth paying extra for a room with a view. We would happily stay there again.

I stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing experience. The room provides a great view of the mountains with floor to ceiling windows and everything in the room, including the bed, chairs, clothes rack and bathroom, are well-maintained and clean. The room provides a sense of luxury and cleanliness during your getaway to this village. The location is excellent, as you are one of the first, if not the first accommodation facing the mountains, so the view is excellent. It is in a great location for exploring upper yubeng and the glacier lake. What made our stay unforgettable was the amazing service we received by the owner and staff whilst we stayed here. The lady provided us with everything we needed to know during our stay in yubeng, including sunrise times, and answered any and every question we had about yubeng as a whole. They provided an atmosphere that was very welcoming and it really does feel like I was invited to stay at their home. They provided free water and free laundry service, as well as free use of hiking poles for our hikes. The breakfast included was excellent and was different for each day we stayed, and they provide you with a free lunch pack to take on your hike, which was a nice gesture which we appreciated. Additionally, everyone here speaks both mandarin and cantonese, so if you're travelling from Guangdong or Hong Kong and would like to feel at home, this is the perfect place to be. Overall, this was an amazing accommodation to stay at due to the amazing service, location and facilities and the owner and her family really do treat you like family. I would highly recommend staying here, and if I ever come back to yubeng, I will definitely stay here again!
