Hotels with Breakfast in Deqin

What can I say, Yeyu has simply got to be hands down, the best place that I have stayed in during my entire Yunnan trip. I am amazed and wasn't expecting it to be this great. I know the idea of staying in a luxury hotel doesn't seem to be something that goes hand in hand with hiking (I say this from my experience of having hiked in several other places before where the key highlight is the natural setting itself), but I have to say that it was really soothing for the soul. My girlfriend and I loved this place! The hotel is tastefully designed at every corner and angle and we can appreciate that a lot of creativity and thought was put into designing this place. The aesthetics is very pleasing to the eye and embraces the natural scenery really well. We also loved the homage it pays to the area's ******* roots such as the photographs displayed in the room (young ******* monks playing and the ******* gazelles in the bathroom) and also all the books about Tibet, Yunnan province that is in the library and living room space. The service provided by the staff was top notch, very attentive and caring. We were always asked if there's anything that the staff can do for us be it preparing a plate of fresh fruits, preparing some drinks for us when we were lounging at the living area and another completely unexpected one was when we returned from the Sacred Waterfall hike with our shoes filled with mud, the hotel staff kindly asked us to leave our shoes with him and it came back the next day fully cleaned, placed in front of our rooms. The lovely service provided was just simply amazing and for this, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the lovely staff at Yeyu who provided us with such a beautiful memory of our too brief stay here and thank you so much for the room upgrade. If I could organise this trip again, I would have liked to stay here much longer to be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. Please believe me when I say that it is completely worth every yuan. PS: Please note that there are two Yeyu Hotels in Yubeng, one near the pond and the other near the temple. We stayed at the one near the temple. Both of them are beautiful in their distinctive ways.

What you see is what you get - or even more! This place is truly a sanctuary designed and curated with great intention. We rested well after coming back from our yubeng hike. we arrived late at 930pm, however I managed to order my dinner with the hotel via WeChat, and they heated it up for us after we arrived even though the kitchen closed at 730. we had the chicken mushroom hotpot, a Yunnan classic and very well done there. The staff offered us hot milk for the night too :) The room is beautiful and comfortable and spacious. there is a tub which we could have a good soak after hiking. Breakfast was great too with options for coffee and butter yak milk. we stayed through the morning in the lobby area, browsing their books and merchandise. The staff also patiently introduced us to the various linden centre projects, various wines that is produced in the region and let us try some before we left. Knowing that we were taking a train to lijiang, she even checked if we arrived safely. Highly highly recommend. So value for money :) can't wait to return!

I was quite disappointed with the service at Ji Xia Shan. Their proactiveness is severely lacking, and their service awareness is simply not enough. When they mess up and upset a customer, all they do is apologize and ask for understanding, expecting the customer to just swallow it and deal with it themselves. There's absolutely no action taken, it's like knocking someone over, only saying sorry but not helping them up. I booked Ji Xia Shan several days in advance, but by almost 8 PM the night before check-in, no one had contacted me to add a butler's WeChat. I had to call them to ask if they even had a butler service. The hotel said they did, and that they had simply overlooked me. Later, they called back to explain that they had tried to call me around 3 PM but no one picked up, and then they asked Ctrip to send me a text message and didn't follow up further. I checked the Ctrip information, and it didn't say the hotel couldn't reach me, and with so many text messages, I wouldn't check every single one. Furthermore, when checking out, the front desk had absolutely no farewell gift prepared. As I got into the car and was about to close the door and leave, I asked the bellboy who had helped with luggage: ”Didn't the package say it included a farewell gift?” The bellboy then realized and said, ”Wait a moment,” and went in to get a keychain. This is unlike other hotels where farewell gifts are readily given out during check-out. Another thing I'm particularly unhappy about is: definitely do NOT book the Yunling room type in summer! It was advertised that we could see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Meili Snow Mountain, but due to lush vegetation, the snow-capped mountains were completely obstructed! See pictures one and two; I felt deceived! It would have been better to book the cheapest room type and go to the 4th-floor cafe observation deck to see the snow mountains. I ended up wasting over a thousand yuan! Also, this hotel has no elevator. To get to the observation deck, you have to climb stairs. Every time I climbed to the fourth floor, I was out of breath. If you have altitude sickness, I'd strongly advise against it. The only thing to praise is the young woman working at the 4th-floor cafe. She was all smiles, and her photography skills were excellent. When I asked her to help take pictures, she was genuinely enthusiastic and patient. Ji Xia Shan is considered a relatively well-known hotel in the Meili Snow Mountain area. Many places try to imitate Songtsam, for example, serving ginger tea and hot towels during check-in, or using keys for all door locks. However, it seems they've only copied Songtsam's superficial aspects; their service is worlds apart. And for Songtsam's snow mountain view rooms, you can truly lie in bed and face the snow mountains directly, being able to admire them from your bed (see picture six). The price of over three thousand yuan is well worth it. But Ji Xia Shan's snow mountain view rooms, which are even more expensive than Songtsam's, offer absolutely no view of the snow mountains. And the difference in service is even greater.

Overall, it was a great stay. The hotel thoughtfully provided tips for altitude sickness in the room and prepared items and facilities to combat it, such as Coke, oxygen packs, and an oxygen supply system. The decor leans towards a Wabi-sabi style, and the buckwheat pillows were very comfortable to sleep on. You can watch the 'golden sun illuminating the mountain' from the 4th floor. Service: After booking this time, the hotel offered a ******* costume photoshoot experience. ******* clothes and headwear were available in the hotel lobby. After the shoot, we received 3 free original photos. This was a collaboration with NICO Travel Photography. The photographer was very professional 📷, snapped great shots 👍, was excellent at composition and finding the right light, and even guided our poses. We got the photos quickly, and then back at the hotel, a dedicated staff member helped us choose the best ones. The entire process was very pleasant, and we got some amazing 'life photos' – fantastic!

Fantastic, fabulous, and fascinating! This homestay in Benzilan is pure magic! The location is serene, the accommodation spotless, and the people—simply outstanding. The hosts treat you like family, always smiling and going the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Honestly, leaving this place is the hardest part! It’s hands down my best stay in Yunnan. If you’re heading to Deqin for Meili Snow Mountain, this is a must-stay. Highly recommended!

Location and Environment: We chose room 402, 'Jian Shan' (Mountain View), which had a large, unobstructed terrace. The view was almost as good as from the rooftop, so there was no need to climb up there; we could just sit on the balcony and wait for the snow-capped mountains to appear. We were incredibly lucky! The day we checked in, it was raining with a lot of mist and clouds, and we thought we wouldn't see anything. But to our surprise, the next morning, we miraculously saw all thirteen peaks! The hotel's location is excellent; you can see everything clearly from the balcony, no need to go to the Wu Nong Ding observation deck. Facilities: The room was well-equipped with underfloor heating, an oxygen concentrator, and a humidifier. The only minor drawback was that the humidifier didn't look very clean, so we didn't dare use it, which made it a bit dry at night. It definitely needs better cleaning. Food: Dinner was excellent. We ordered a small hot pot with yak meat, and the 1.5 jin (approx. 750g) of yak meat was plentiful and came with several vegetables. The yak meat was tender, flavorful, and incredibly fragrant. The server was also very attentive. We also received complimentary welcome snacks, fruit, and drinks. Service: The hotel also recommended a driver to take us to Ninong the next day, which we greatly appreciated! I highly recommend staying here because the location and environment are simply superb!

The view in the room is spectacular. You can see the view of the snow mountain and lush green mountains while taking a bath or in bed. It was the most wonderful stay for us. The room also came with all the amenities needed, equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and a Smeg kettle, which seems very suitable for the price. They also provide a free laundry service, which they will deliver clean clothes by your door in the morning. Beverages including water, soft drinks, coffee and tea are all included and can be provided as much as you need. They also prepared us sandwiches for us to take for our day hike. The young lady at the front desk, who is also a barista, took very good care of us. She is always active on Wechat for any requests we may have. She also kindly helped us to arrange a van to pick us up from Ninong to Feilaisi. Definitely a rewarding stay after long hikes!

Just to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain. Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather. The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time. One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

The road to Upper Yubeng was under construction, so it took a while to walk. They arranged a great triple room for us with underfloor heating that warmed up quickly. After hiking to Ice Lake on the first day, we asked the owner for foot-soaking tubs, which were incredibly relaxing. The hotel's location is excellent with unobstructed views. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yubeng.

This is the perfect place to stay in Upper Yubeng Village. It's located right at the start of the trails to Nisai Glacier and Glacier Lake. The breakfast was delicious and was customized for our vegetarian diet. They gave us lunch sandwiches every morning to take on our hikes. The room was well-stocked with water, fruit, and milk. They cleaned our laundry for us on request in just a couple of hours. We accidentally broke a coffee mug, and they replaced it for free. They actually washed our coffee mugs every day, which no other hotel seems to do. Finally, why I'd give this place six stars if I could: on our final day in Yubeng Village, we checked out and started hiking out toward Ninong. We accidentally left one of our phones in the hallway outside our room. The hotel manager noticed and immediately sent a runner to deliver the phone to us on the trail, almost a kilometer away. We tried to tip them but they adamantly refused, so all we can do is say thank you!
