"Let's talk about the accommodation first. Although there wasn't a private bathroom, I still found it quite comfortable. Figure 1 shows a rough overview of the camp. Our tent had six double beds, Figure 2 showed the communal dining table inside the tent, and Figure 3 showed the room (which only had a bed and two nightstands). The tent had a sink with a water heater next to it (Figure 6), as well as a basin and disposable basin cover (Figure 5), making washing quite convenient. The bathroom was portable and a little further from our tent, about a minute's walk. We couldn't find a shower, but at 5,000 meters above sea level, it's best not to shower. 😅
As for the value for money, we checked in around 3:00 PM and left at 12:00 the next day. We didn't have to worry about the bus's arrival time back in town. If the weather was good, we could easily watch the sunrise and sunset from Mount Everest. We didn't have to pay for two bus rides, which was equivalent to saving one. Minus the room rate, I think it was a good value."
"Cost-effective! Very new hotel, well-equipped, a little taste, sleep at night, not cold at present. The hotel can contact the base camp bus and pick it up directly at the entrance of the hotel, which is very convenient."
"This stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is excellent; they can help arrange transportation to Everest Base Camp and drop you off right at the hotel entrance, which is very convenient. The room was clean and tidy, with complete and brand-new facilities. The room was very warm with underfloor heating, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and there was plenty of medical-grade oxygen, so I slept soundly all night. The staff were warm and attentive, efficient with check-in and check-out, and patiently answered all my travel questions. Even in winter, the breakfast wasn't bad; because there were fewer guests, the hotel offered a reservation system, allowing us to choose our own breakfast and avoid wasting food. Overall, it's excellent value for money, suitable for both business and leisure travel. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose this hotel again next time!"
"The room is newly renovated, very good, especially the mattress and pillows, are very comfortable, I feel similar to the whole season, and there is an elevator. The room has diffuse oxygen production, and I also searched it specially. This equipment is very good. I brought my own nasal straw, and I can also directly inhale it. The test is effective and the blood oxygen will be improved immediately. The price is right too."
"The dream residence at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, if there is really a ”safe haven closest to the sky” in the world, it must be this hotel in Everest Town. On the day of arrival, the wind on the plateau brought a clear chill, but the moment I opened the hotel door, the warmth came. The room is a surprise of Tibetan modern integration. The hand-carved bedside and floor-to-ceiling windows are facing the snow-capped mountains. The most amazing thing is the bathroom. There is 24 hours hot water and floor heating! Take a hot bath at a high altitude, and I even feel happier than seeing the Everest Banner Cloud.
Here, 5,200 meters above sea level is no longer a ”life exclusion zone”, but a ”second home” surrounded by soft duvets, 24-hour oxygen supply and smiles. If you ask if it's worth it, I will say: When other tourists inhale oxygen in the tent and get a headache, you can soak in a hot bath to reminisce about the sunset of Mount Everest. This luxury is worth a lifetime of memories. Come back next time, I have to book the same room, thank you boss for upgrading the room type."
"The bed was very comfortable, and there was a blanket under the sheets, which was very soft. The yak beef hot pot at night in the hotel on the first floor is also good quality and cheap, delicious and large."
Vienna Hotel (Basong Village, Everest Road Branch) features 52 guest rooms, a 100㎡ self-service restaurant, and complimentary laundry facilities, among other amenities. Located near the Everest Scenic Area Base Camp, the hotel offers free shuttle buses to the scenic area from 7:00 to 19:00 for access to the Everest Base Camp. Guest rooms are equipped with 24-hour dispersed and nasal oxygen supply, full-floor heating, and a courtyard-style complimentary parking lot. The hotel also serves a variety of nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Whether for business travel or leisure, it is an ideal choice.
"First of all, the hotel's front desk staff were incredibly helpful. When our car had a flat tire, they changed it for us, getting themselves all dirty in the process. Then, they were the ones who cooked our food, and it was absolutely delicious, with flavors perfect for northern tastes. They even carried our luggage for us, saying, ”Our job is to provide excellent service to our guests!” Having such responsible employees is a blessing for any business owner!"
"If you are worried about altitude sickness like me, close your eyes and book this one! The room is directly equipped with oxygen supply equipment, and the headache is relieved after a while. And there is floor heating, it is not cold at night. The most pleasant surprise is that there is a free massage chair, which is too good to take care of the guests. The breakfast was good the next day, with hot porridge and snacks. This stay is full of experience and great value for money!"
