Great
GGuest UserThe Junior Suite was wonderful, essentially a studio apartment with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, large windows, a private balcony seating area and extensive shelf space. The bathroom was very modern with a very nice tall shower. The beds were very comfortable and the room was large, with a couch. Definitely a great place for both short and long stays.
There were a few small inconveniences in the room, but nothing that affected our stay (water seemed to leak over the door of the shower onto the shower mat; toilet seat was very stiff and loud to open/close; closets were very wide but oddly short to accommodate extra drawers, so too small to hang dresses in full length; the automatic lighting inside the closets did not turn off correctly; and our key card stopped working in the middle of our stay and had to be fixed at the reception). The hotel is very close to a tram stop, so it's easy to get into the city center, and it's also very close to the Cultural Center. It is a bit more of a trek to walk into the city, but still possible in 20 minutes or so. The hotel is located on a small street off the main road and the sidewalk leading up to it is very narrow and in disrepair. You would not guess that the inside of the hotel is so sleek and modern based on the older surrounding area.

Great
KKMSI recently stayed at the Sofia Novotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to unwind after a busy day. The beds were perfect—not too firm and not too soft, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
The hotel’s location is fantastic, situated just across the street from a shopping mall, which made it incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.
The breakfast was excellent, offering a good variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day.
The only downside was the gym, which is quite small and lacks heavy free weights and a pull-up bar. While it’s fine for a basic workout, those looking for a more comprehensive fitness setup might be disappointed.
All in all, Sofia Novotel is a great choice for its location, comfort, and service, but fitness enthusiasts might find the gym facilities limited. I would definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserThe room is spacious, bright, clean and tidy. The breakfast is rich in variety. I especially like the various cheeses. It is within walking distance of Sofia's main attractions.

MMarzipanSmall room, very weak flow in the shower, really basic for sleeping before a flight, hard and uncomfortable mattress, more like resting for a few hours and flying no further than that
GGuest UserThe attitude of the receptionist was unprofessional, rude and unacceptable.
For one hour, the whole hotel didn’t know how to charge my credit card, as their credit card machine doesn’t follow EU rules for 3D security, thus jeopardising clients’ private data. I wasted a full hour on the phone with my bank, only to find out that the hotel doesn’t follow rules on how to securely handle credit card data. The management kept telling me that it’s my fault, despite the fact I never before have had problems with card payments before.
Breakfast food was decent, with a choice between a couple of set menus.
The hotel was clean, rooms were quiet, and it was situated and in a convenient location, within 3-4 minutes from the nearest metro station.
Some of the photos on their site are dated, as the interior is different now.
GGuest UserA very unique hotel that combines hotel and co-working spaces into one. Room was very spacious, breakfast was good and an easy 15min ride from the airport. Noticed that check in can be done online but also upstairs where is the restaurant.
NNoi ChaOur stay at Hotel Budapest in Sofia was enjoyable and convenient. The hotel’s location is excellent—easily accessible and close to many key attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring the city.
The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, with a variety of well-prepared dishes that satisfied our expectations. However, the dinner service during New Year’s Eve was noticeably slower, likely due to the large number of guests celebrating the occasion. While the wait was understandable given the holiday rush, a bit more efficiency would have improved the experience.
Overall, Hotel Budapest offers great food, a prime location, and a welcoming atmosphere. With a little attention to service during peak times, it’s an excellent choice for a stay in Sofia!

BBeryl XuThere is a casino in the hotel. So the parking fee is expensive. It's about RMB 100 per night. The hotel is cost-effective, so we can ignore the old facilities. When I checked in, the front desk gave me the second floor. I said I wanted a higher floor. There should be a manager next to me and said that I have to make a request. I said I have a request. I showed them the request I wrote. Because of the word count requirement, I wrote it in Chinese on Ctrip. The other party immediately said that we couldn't understand it. I immediately responded, don't you have a translator? Then I was a little reluctant to give me the sixth floor. 👌. When checking out, I especially want to praise the front desk lady with long brown hair. The service attitude is very good. I want to print the car insurance policy. She helped me one by one.

GGuest UserI had a job at the hotel center, at the justice ministry, I could reach it in 10 minutes. When I arrived at 11 a.m., they asked for 30 euros for early check-in, although there were 7 rooms. The lamb meat products offered at breakfast were smoking, and when I asked the garçon there was no pig meat dendi.netlik. Turkish channels are not opened on TV. There are two towels, two shaving sets in the bathroom with cleaning products for hair and body.

MMoshengjunA compact hotel, centrally located and very convenient for transport. It has a bit of a Japanese hotel vibe. However, the space was incredibly cramped; there was nowhere to put my groceries or luggage! On the bright side, it was quite clean, and the color scheme and aesthetics were excellent. You could say it's small but perfectly formed, boasting a strong industrial design aesthetic. The overall ambiance had a distinct former Soviet bloc feel.
