"I stayed here four nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The hotel is an older, classy, clean, establishment with spacious rooms, a wonderful breakfast buffet with numerous choices, as well as coffee’s, cappuccino, espresso. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The shower had the best water pressure of any hotel I’ve been in. It is perfectly situated with local shopping, restaurants, and the numerous top sites of Sofia within walking distance. It is absolutely a great value for the service they provide. My thanks to the staff for a wonderful four-day day here and beautiful Sofia, Bulgaria."

"The hotel structure in question has a good location in the center of Sofia, served by Metro, Bus and taxis at a good price (I recommend downloading the app. Taxi Me). The breakfast is well stocked and the room given to me (I had the n.902) is very good, comfortable, nice KING size bed with a good view of the city. The negative side is in the reception, it is not presented in an adequate manner at all, because the problem of having to climb the stairs to reach level n.1 on foot, imagine a person (worse for elderly people) with luggage and without a lift, becomes a problem; but it does not end there, because when you arrive at the reception area. You encounter cartons, sofas, objects leaning in the corner, folders of invoices with people (they are not staff) drooling with beer, it is a very ugly image, for a moment I was thinking of giving up my reservation and losing my € 300.00 expenses."

"Our stay at Hotel Budapest in Sofia was enjoyable and convenient. The hotel’s location is excellent—easily accessible and close to many key attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, with a variety of well-prepared dishes that satisfied our expectations. However, the dinner service during New Year’s Eve was noticeably slower, likely due to the large number of guests celebrating the occasion. While the wait was understandable given the holiday rush, a bit more efficiency would have improved the experience. Overall, Hotel Budapest offers great food, a prime location, and a welcoming atmosphere. With a little attention to service during peak times, it’s an excellent choice for a stay in Sofia!"

"Hotel is perfectly located in center Sofia, service is good but not as attentional as what I’m used from Intercontinental… you would expect exceptional attention service from the hotel. (Told them it was my birthday for example and not even a happy birthday) Rooms are very spacious, spa and gym very nice and the Adore restaurant has very good food."

"Nice clean standard Ibis Hotel. Airport shuttle available every 20 minutes, very convenient service; 5-8 minutes drive. Two minors issues with the room; external bathroom door knob was missing and some water leaks under the sink. The housekeeping should observe such small details and act accordingly. Comdortable bed, good aircon. Some teabags and coffee should be made available in-room for guests. Restaurant's prices are a little high ~20€ for a good and decent hamburger. Breakfast buffet ok. Reception, restaurant and shuttle's staff were all friendly and responsive. In all a good and very decent no frills airport hotel."

"The hotel was fine for the price. Staff were very helpful, the view of the city was amazing. The bed was okay, there was no overhead lighting. One had to use lamps. The fridge in the room was nice to have but noisy. I unplugged it at night. It kept the contents cold by the next morning. Daily house keeping, metro just outside and a shopping mall across the road. There is Burger King, KFC, Subway if you are craving Western food. Basic amenities but clean and comfortable."

"Very good location. The service corresponds to the status of the hotel, but still reminds a little of the Soviet Union, who remembers. There is a large park near the hotel - a great place to relax. Breakfast - a buffet of Bulgarian cuisine."

"Pros: The hotel design is very modern and clean. The staff are nice and friendly and do everything they can to help you. This hotel is big on sustainability. They don't leave plastic bottles in your room. Instead, you have glass bottles that you can fill up everywhere in the hotel. Every floor has a drinking fountain where you can fill up your bottle. The food was absolutely amazing. Breakfast is not a buffet. On weekdays, you have to choose between a Bulgarian or a French breakfast. At first, I was disappointed that they didn't have a simple option like an omelet; I went with the Bulgarian option. It was fantastic. Everything was fresh. On weekends, you only have an omelet option, which was also great. For dinner, I got Sea Bass and it was also great! I am fully satisfied with the food served at this hotel. The only criticism I can give is that the breakfast serving window is very small and late (8:30 am to 10:30 am if I remember correctly) and you have to wait for more than usual to get your food. Cons: The rooms have tile floors, which look cold but are not since I believe they use floor heating. The problem is that they don't offer slippers, which I don't like, since the same tiles continue into the toilet. It doesn't feel clean. They also don't offer toothbrushes which I would have really appreciated. I had to unplug the fridge since the compressor made a lot of noise when turning off and on, and I'm a light sleeper. Overall I would recommend this place if the location suits you, just bring your own slippers and enjoy the food!"
