GGuest UserWhenever I travel, Ji Hotel is always my top choice because of its consistent quality – you can't go wrong here! ✨ The hotel's location is perfect, making it super convenient for getting around and dining. The lobby is simple yet elegant, with a subtle tea aroma that helps you relax the moment you step in. The room was clean and tidy, with a warm and cozy minimalist wooden design. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the mattress was just right (not too soft, not too hard), and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. There was plenty of hot water, and the bathroom facilities were great, with attention paid to every detail. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient during check-in and check-out, always ready to answer any questions. The breakfast was rich and delicious, a good mix of Chinese and Western options, ensuring a balanced meal. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I highly recommend it and will definitely choose Ji Hotel again next time!

MM275774****The hotel was a pleasant surprise, the best experience of my entire Qinghai-Gansu loop trip.
The hotel room was clean and tidy, the mattress was just the right firmness, very comfortable, and there were plenty of office-friendly amenities, including desks, chairs, and lamps.
The hotel service was exceptional; arguably the best I've experienced in a budget hotel. The front desk staff proactively recommended sightseeing options and restaurants, all of which were delicious (the food we ate at the tourist attractions the previous days was both expensive and terrible).
The hotel is located in the old food district of Fuqiang Market. Perhaps because it's an older area, the streets outside were quite run-down, which initially dampened my spirits. However, the hotel experience truly offered a contrast, and the nearby restaurants were frequented by locals. I highly recommend staying here. (I didn't take any room photos, so I'm using other pictures instead.)

GGuest UserDon't let the facade of this hotel fool you. While the frontage is a 4-floor building, majority of the hotel rooms are located at a much taller building behind the frontage.
The reception has a free coffee machine for guest, which is a rarity for Chinese hotels (especially if not 5-stars). I wish the reception was more brightly lit.
There is a Halal restaurant next to the hotel, so if you must eat Halal food, this hotel is perfectly located.
The room has adequate space for 2 person to put 2 big luggage, with plenty space to hang the winter clothing. The insulation is good, heater is warm, water pressure is strong with sufficient hot water when you need it. There's one odd thing about the heating in this hotel. The floor is heated, which is good prima facie, but the guest cannot control the temperature. So if the window is closed when you sleep at night, the heated floor ended up radiating heat all over the room to the point it feels like a 30C charcoal sauna when you wake up in the morning.
One special mention must be made about the breakfast. The dining area looks relatively spartan but the dishes would surprise you. It serves Salmon, Fish Eggs and one Cantonese delicacy ”Buddha Jumping Over the Wall”, which was a total surprise as we didn't expect a Cantonese dish to be served here so far in the northwest of China. I appropriated 2 bowls of Buddha Dish for one morning, enough said. I would absolutely come here for breakfast again. If the hotel could fix the control for the floor heating, that would be great !

Location is near the Datang food street.
The room looks very new, they have a fancy intercom to contact the reception. They provided Laifen hairdryer which is good quality.
Rooms are generally clean but i think the cleaner forgot to clear the lump of hair at the shower.
One thing i dont like, they provide disposable towels which are very thin and flimsy. Maybe its for hygiene purpose but its not nice to use.
Walking to the room is like a maze, they have long corridors and many turns. I counted, i turned corner 8 times to reach my room 😅 not a big problem but if you carry alot of big bags, it might get tiring, depending how far your room is.

It was all I needed to rest up well and Alan at the counter spoke great English and spent a good deal of time explaining details for my self-tour of the wall and fort. He also helped me sort out some app issues on my phone and bonus, installed a Chinese translator app which is much better than Google translate. I was able to wash some clothes and they dried super quickly in the brick courtyard.

MM472265****This is a very sentimental B&B, with two starlings that call the boss and have a loud laugh, and two cute Scottish Fold kittens. The boss looks like a star. It is a good choice for families traveling with elderly and children who need to be taken care of. It is very close to Guancheng, Fantawild, the Great Wall, and Fuqiang Market. Taxi rides are no more than 10-15 yuan. The boss also has a lot of travel guides. Be sure to ask in advance if you are visiting for the first time. All supplies are disposable. Breakfast is also available in peak season, which is worth a try.

AAnonymous UserClean and spacious. Some eateries and massage salons around the area. Shower area separate from toilet. There was a water cut one morning which the hotel didn't inform us, though it was a scheduled maintenance. They restored water supply when we called up the front desk.

NNannan7269Traveling independently, I chose the Ibis hotel closest to Jiayuguan train station. The room was great! Even though we arrived in the early hours, the staff were considerate and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and I especially liked the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. Thumbs up!

SstarryyyyyyThe guesthouse has a private courtyard, so you don't have to worry about disturbing your neighbors. The rooms are large and cool! The facilities are also very good, and the mattresses are soft and comfortable! The courtyard is sunny and convenient for drying clothes! Our dog also loved the courtyard! The only drawback is that the electric water heater has a small capacity; after one person takes a shower, it takes a while for enough hot water to heat up for the second person.
