SSolace OverlandingThe room was clean and spacious enough for a comfortable stay.
What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Upon my arrival, the lady at the front desk thoughtfully offered me skin moisturizer, knowing how dry the weather is in this region. Before I checked out, this morning when I check out, she also provided several bottles of water and wet tissues, reminding me to take care of myself in the dry climate.
The security uncle were equally helpful. When I was looking for coffee, he went out of his way to switch on the coffee machine and assist me without hesitation.
What separates a good hotel chain from a great one is not just the quality of the rooms or facilities, it is the people. The genuine care, kindness, and attentiveness of the staff made my stay memorable and left a lasting impression.

Good location relatively close to the fortress and on the way to the wall. Plenty of food options around and more within 1 Km around.
The staff at the reception were so helpful. No English spoken but with all the apps communication is not a big issue. It just take more time 🤔😅
The room was big. Great bathroom. A lot of space and storage available. Good air conditioning system.
Breakfast was simply delicious and every day there were different items available. Not much western food but anyway Chinese food is healthier. Staff there was lovely.
The fitness area is a bit minimalist.
Self laundry is available and works great.
I will return for sure.
A Personal tip to people visiting Jiayuguan: I suggest getting to the wall first thing in the morning after breakfast. Taxis is the only option.In July 2024 the price I paid (Meter as usual) was 26 Yuans. After visiting that place take a taxi to the fortress (Jiayu pass) as it is on the way to the city anyway. The cost was 11 Yuans and it is very close to the fortress unlike the main ticket office located 2 Km away (where the bus nr 4 stops).
Further tip if you like HotPot restaurants the NanjiaXiang is a great choice at a very reasonable price. It is 800 meters away from the hotel.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse was thoughtfully designed. The itinerary was a bit rushed, otherwise there would have been many great spots for taking beautiful photos 😄. The service was also very attentive and considerate. I especially loved the breakfast they prepared – nutritious, healthy, and delicious 😋. I highly recommend staying here during your trip 🐾

GGuest UserDon't let the facade of this hotel fool you. While the frontage is a 4-floor building, majority of the hotel rooms are located at a much taller building behind the frontage.
The reception has a free coffee machine for guest, which is a rarity for Chinese hotels (especially if not 5-stars). I wish the reception was more brightly lit.
There is a Halal restaurant next to the hotel, so if you must eat Halal food, this hotel is perfectly located.
The room has adequate space for 2 person to put 2 big luggage, with plenty space to hang the winter clothing. The insulation is good, heater is warm, water pressure is strong with sufficient hot water when you need it. There's one odd thing about the heating in this hotel. The floor is heated, which is good prima facie, but the guest cannot control the temperature. So if the window is closed when you sleep at night, the heated floor ended up radiating heat all over the room to the point it feels like a 30C charcoal sauna when you wake up in the morning.
One special mention must be made about the breakfast. The dining area looks relatively spartan but the dishes would surprise you. It serves Salmon, Fish Eggs and one Cantonese delicacy ”Buddha Jumping Over the Wall”, which was a total surprise as we didn't expect a Cantonese dish to be served here so far in the northwest of China. I appropriated 2 bowls of Buddha Dish for one morning, enough said. I would absolutely come here for breakfast again. If the hotel could fix the control for the floor heating, that would be great !

JJintianchenchayanyueselemaTraveling to Jiayuguan by car, this hotel is located in the city center with plenty of parking. It's about 2 kilometers from Fuqiang Market to the north. The room is spacious and very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with a separate wet and dry area. The only minor drawback is that my first-floor room was a bit far from the water tank, so I had to let the hot water run for a little while. Overall, I recommend it, especially given the great off-season price.

GGuest UserI stayed only one night here. This hotel is really clean and the pictures accurate. It seems that the room has been renovated recently, it is nice really practical.
You can reach the castle (the fort) easily by walking. Even though the owner doesn't speak English, with a translation App we managed to understand eachother. He drop me off at the train station early morning. I recommend this hotel. This comment has been written by a French traveller.
Je suis resté ici une seule nuit. Cet hôtel est vraiment propre et les photos correspondent bien. Il semblerait que la chambre ait été rénovée récemment, et elle est vraiment mignonne et pratique. Il est facile de rejoindre le fort à pied. Bien que le propriétaire ne parle pas anglais, il est aisé d'échanger avec lui grâce à une application de traduction. Il m'a déposé à la gare de bon matin, ce qui fut très pratique. C'est une personne très serviable. Je recommande cet hôtel. Ce commentaire a été écrit par un voyageur français.

Hh720Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. High-end restaurant in the building. I don't know where breakfast was served. There is no sauna or massage and should be removed from the profile. There are many massages places near by.

AAnonymous UserI have three criteria when booking a hotel: a separate wet/dry shower area, a laundry room, and breakfast. Ibis perfectly met all my requirements, offering a washer, dryer, and detergent. Plus, the washing machines have only two settings, which saves everyone time. In Europe, Ibis is my go-to for budget accommodation, and the Jiayuguan Ibis offers excellent value for money. It's no exaggeration to say it's just a two-minute walk from Jiayuguan Station with your luggage, and multiple bus routes start right outside the hotel. The front desk staff are all very kind and friendly. The room was new, very clean, and had a huge TV. Everything about it was excellent. On top of that, the hotel hosts meetings for large state-owned companies, and you know what that means – it's a good hotel!

GGuest UserIt was indeed a spacious and cost-effective stay. The advantages are that this guesthouse is located in what feels like an abandoned park, with beautiful surroundings and very spacious and functional rooms. The disadvantage is its extreme remoteness (located in a corner of a large park), making it impossible to find a place to eat without a car. Finding food is inconvenient; the receptionist suggested ordering takeout, but delivery drivers often get lost because of the location, haha. Therefore, families traveling by car might consider this place. Also, due to its remoteness, it's likely you won't be able to reach the front desk by phone after the staff has left work in the evening.
