Hotels with Parking in Te Anau

Our family enjoyed our two days stay on this cosy small town on the visit to Milford Sound Cruise . We had the opportunity to taste local NZ foods without much disappointment. The minus point was we booked for 3 single beds room but was given 1 queen and 1 single , not matching the product description.

It's about a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute drive from the busiest street. The facilities aren't brand new, but they are quite clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very welcoming when I checked in and even upgraded my room. If you plan to stay, I recommend booking in advance, as they often sell out on weekends.

Te Anau is located in the very south of New Zealand, so the whole town has a very laid-back atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. There's a supermarket here too, so we bought some steaks and enjoyed dinner while admiring the view outside our window. You can also take a stroll along the lakefront. It's incredibly pleasant.

This hotel was a perfect place to stay the night before heading to Milford Sound. The owner is Chinese, and in the quiet town of Te Anau, he felt incredibly friendly. We departed from Queenstown that evening and arrived after our 8 PM check-in time. After contacting Ctrip customer service, the front desk responded quickly. Upon arrival, the owner had thoughtfully printed a note on the desk, and the room was immaculately clean. The drive to the sound takes two hours, and there's a self-service gas station nearby, making it very convenient for refueling before departure and back in Queenstown. Overall, the stay was excellent.

Good location, easy access to restaurants and supermarkets. We visited Milford sound by car, and joined a day cruise for Doubtful sound visited, both were very enjoyable. The ensuite room didn't have any cooking facilities, not even a microwave. If you want to cook anything, you need to go to a shared kitchen, and pay for the use of pots and pants. Washing machines and dryers are availible, also need to pay for using them.

One of the best places we stayed in south island NZ. Firstly the staffs at the receptions are so welcoming, they're one of the highlights of this accommodation. The 2BR room was spacious, clean, modern and located right beside the lake. They're also a short walk away from the supermarket and glowworm office. Absolutely beautiful place! We highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a place in Te Anau.

Love this place very much. Very clean and spacious room, there were elderly friendly toilet & bathroom ( we had another bathroom with bathtub). The kitchen is well equipped. The view overlooking the lake was superb. Jetty to glowworms just in walking distance (1km). Numerous restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance as well (1-1.5km). You can just park your car in the apartment and walk slowly along the lake to enjoy the stunning scenery.

I would have given this a 5-star rating. However, I deducted one star due to staff behaviour and a fire alarm that went off at 5:00 a.m., requiring guests to evacuate the hotel. Additionally, the staff could benefit from some customer service training, particularly in showing warmth and empathy toward guests. When we visited the front desk at 12:30 p.m. to enquire about an early check-in, the staff member was not at all understanding or accommodating. She bluntly say “No” and kept looking at her monitor without any reason.

Lovely warm clean comfortable motel. Fantastic shower and lots warm bedding. Just a teeny disappointed we didn’t see any staff or management our entire stay of three nights. Obviously staffing shortages in the area but would have appreciated a friendly face at some stage.

There is basically no service in foreign hotels. No one at the front desk left the key in the envelope and searched for it for a while. It would be better to specify the method of collecting the key when booking, especially on rainy days.
