"The hotel facilities are superb, probably the best architecture in Kaiping. Situated on the Tanjiang Peninsula, my room offered a fantastic river view as soon as I opened the window – absolutely stunning. The room itself was spacious and faultless. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and the dishes at the second-floor Chinese restaurant were also delicious. When I arrived on Saturday, the entire second-floor restaurant was almost full, and it was the same the next day. I'm not sure if Kaiping locals are just big fans of tea culture, or if the food at this hotel is simply that good. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Kaiping."

"It was really pricey because of the holiday, but the interior design totally made up for it; the ambiance is great. However, I have to point out two things: 1. This is the most expensive hotel in the whole scenic area, yet there's no dedicated parking. Finding a spot was a nightmare (it's best to contact the front desk beforehand and ask them to open the back gate). 2. They seem to be understaffed, and some employees' service attitude was just so-so (though the guy at the door when we checked out was very good). And the person who showed us to our room didn't offer to help with our luggage once – it was quite annoying 😑. 3. The carpet in the elevator looked a bit cheap and ruined the designer's consistent style. I hope they'll replace it."

"Our stay at the Country Garden Phoenix Hotel in Kaiping Emerald Bay during the May Day holiday truly exceeded our expectations! The room felt incredibly clean and comfortable the moment we stepped in, instantly allowing us to relax. I especially want to commend the front desk service; they were not only warm and attentive but also proactively upgraded our room type for free, which was a delightful surprise. We had originally booked a package with only one breakfast, but the staff thoughtfully provided an extra one. To receive such personalized service during a peak travel period like May Day is truly exceptional. The front desk also meticulously informed us about the hotel's evening activities, which made us look forward to the rest of our stay even more. Overall, our experience was fantastic; both the facilities and the soft services were commendable. We'll definitely choose this hotel again if we have the chance!"

"The entire room was free of any odd smells and had excellent ventilation. I enjoyed reading in bed, and the lighting was perfect – not harsh at all. The front desk staff member was incredibly efficient, handling everything in just a few minutes, and her attitude was surprisingly gentle. "Environment: Quiet and pleasant, far from the city's hustle and bustle, perfect for families or couples looking to relax and unwind. Cleanliness: The accommodation and guest rooms are exceptionally clean and tidy. Facilities: The rooms are fully equipped with high-standard amenities, and the building has an elevator, making it suitable for wheelchair users or elderly guests with mobility issues. Service: Both the front desk staff and the dining service personnel are incredibly friendly. They even adjusted the meals to accommodate guests' dietary restrictions. I traveled with my mother, who has mobility issues and occasionally needs a wheelchair. This guesthouse came highly recommended and praised by her. The host and the receptionist are very kind and helpful. If you want to have a vacation out of town with families, this is the place that will fulfill your demands. For foreigners, you may use the app 'Gaode Dache' and choose 'Shunfengche' (carpool); the traveling fee will be cheaper than 'Dache' (taking a taxi) and more convenient."

"It is close to the city center, covers a large area, has good scenery, good air, and is very quiet for sleeping at night. There are small bridges and flowing water, vegetable fields, basketball courts, and football fields. It is great for military training, team building, or playing football and barbecuing with a group of friends!"

"The place is relatively remote, the road is only big enough for one car to pass, but the countryside scenery along the way is very nice; The house is relatively old and does have a sense of history, but the facilities and equipment should be appropriately updated and upgraded, such as toilets and shower rooms; The hotel service is still very good. The management staff are very enthusiastic and patient. They recommend us fun, delicious and local characteristics. The price is generally a bit expensive, it depends on what your needs are."

"Beautiful room with a lovely spacious bathroom as well! It was located within walking distance from the Zilicun Diaolou. The service was fantastic, as one of the owners helped me to find a hidden village that was not even on Baidu maps! I really appreciated that effort, so would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore the Kaiping countryside."
