"The room was quite spacious and the location was excellent, just a 3-minute walk to the free tram. The hot water was good and the room was quiet. Breakfast was also very good. They took a AUD 100 deposit via credit card, and it still hasn't been refunded a week later. The room had kitchen facilities, including pots, pans, dishes, a gas stove, and an induction cooktop, which was very convenient for cooking our own meals."

"The car park is challenging to access, it took me awhile to get the lift door opened and to get in, really need to align the car properly. "Novotel Melbourne on Collins was a fantastic base for our family trip! The location truly is perfect – having multiple free city tram stops within 100 meters made exploring effortless. We easily walked to major spots like Flinders Street Station and the stunning State Library Victoria. Food options were plentiful nearby, making ”food hunting” a breeze.
A major plus for us was the onsite parking. Renting a car was stress-free knowing we had a guaranteed, convenient spot each night (parking fee applicable, refer to hotel front desk).
The room was impressively spacious, comfortably accommodating our family of two adults and a kid. Having two queen-size beds was ideal – everyone had plenty of room to sleep well.
**Things that could elevate the experience further:**
1. Breakfast Variety: While the breakfast was good, a wider selection of hot and cold options would be appreciated, especially for a longer stay.
2. TV Upgrade: The current TV channel is very limited. Upgrading to Smart TVs with access to streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube would be a huge improvement for in-room entertainment, especially for families with young kids / toddler.
3. Shaving Kit Quality:The provided shaving kit's ”cream” (which was a soap) and blade weren't great. Offering a slightly higher quality kit with proper shaving cream would be a noticeable touch.
**Overall:** We had a very comfortable and convenient stay thanks to the unbeatable location, easy parking, and spacious family room. Addressing the breakfast variety, TV upgrade, and shaving kit quality would easily push this towards a perfect 5-star experience. Highly recommended, especially for families needing space and city access."

TTuzizoutianxiaI booked this hotel for a colleague's business trip, and overall, I'd give it a 9/10. The location is excellent, making it very convenient for an evening stroll and some shopping. They also provide excellent service, including sending an email beforehand to assist with check-in. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are very clean. The rooms are spacious enough, and the lobby is quite grand.

EEmma-Jane BWe stayed for our anniversary. I listed that it was the case at the time of booking. On check-in, Alicia at reception congratulated us, notified us that we would be upgraded and sent a bottle of sparkling wine to the room for us. The room (level 21, rm 25) was stunning with views of the city, clean, well-appointed and big, classic design, and luxurious. The price is a splurge but lively.
The complex itself is great with quite a lot to do beautiful food and wonderful staff.
It is about a 5-10 minute walking distance away from the multi-level carparking if you choose not to use the valet.

TTianjinmeihaiI booked a four-day, five-night stay at the 1hotel, Melbourne's newest brand, well in advance. I was extremely dissatisfied with the room service. Housekeeping required scheduling via TV (unfortunately, it was broken), calling customer service (also broken), or pressing the housekeeping button on the door (which I did for two days without anyone responding). Frustrated, I went to the front desk, where a foreign woman quickly dismissed me. After waiting half an hour with no one coming, I went back to the front desk. Luckily, a tall, Chinese lady patiently listened to my request and immediately helped us coordinate. A clumsy Indian male housekeeping staff member arrived, and suddenly I understood why they hadn't cleaned for two days! Indians are never reliable! How outrageous! 😡 They also sent two repairmen to fix the phone and TV, disturbing our rest. 😍‼ I'm still very grateful to the Chinese lady at the front desk for personally delivering a card and chocolates to our room; it made us feel that fellow countrymen are truly kind! Overall, the hotel location is excellent, the concierge service is excellent, and the gym is excellent! Cleanliness is so-so, and the carpet was very dirty.

AAngelThe hotel was easy to find and offered 24-hour free parking, though it cost $80 a day. However, street parking in front and behind the hotel was free from 6:30 PM to 7:30 AM. After 7:30 AM, you had to pay, with rates of $4 per hour on weekdays and $2 on weekends. You might need to search a bit for a spot.
The room was spacious and came with slippers. They provided four bottles of mineral water daily, and if that wasn't enough, they'd send more upon request – room service was super fast! The room was also very clean.
The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was very refined. The buffet restaurant had a unique tiered design. Since I had a stroller, they set me up on a separate level with plenty of space, so it didn't bother anyone. The only minor inconvenience was needing help carrying the stroller up and down the stairs, but the staff were always willing to assist.
I loved the convenient yet quiet location. It was a 12-15 minute walk to Chinatown and just a 2-minute walk to the tram stop. There's also a large park right outside for a relaxing stroll.

The club lounge is generally ok, except for the fact that one of the lounge waitresses was a bit impatient when we checked in on the first day. She frowned when we called her because we were Asian? They are very nice to white foreigners. Treat differently.

CClarrence LeoWe are a family of 5 adult and 1 infant, and we booked 2 rooms separately. We primarily chose this hotel because of the good location next to the domestic terminal and a not-so-expensive price point (compared to Parkroyal which was directly opposite the hotel). The rooms were decently-sized, nothing too luxurious as it catered mainly to travellers transferring in the airport. The hotel had a massive gym, which was surprisingly given that it was mostly empty but they had all kinds of equipment catering to all body parts. We also had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was OK. Not the best food, but at least it filled out stomachs with the standard spread of Western food - fruits, bread, eggs and bacons etc. All in all, would recommend this hotel if you are transitioning at Melbourne for a night and looking for an affordable yet not too shabby place to sleep!

SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs!
Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

AACA place for rejuvenate and value for money.
Location: we did not rent a car, but can go there from CBD by train (30 mins) and bus (10 mins). If you catch the 496 bus from Laventon, it takes a 8 mins walk to the hotel off the bus stop, If you take 497 from Williamslanding, it takes 18 minutes, but you can shop at the centre (Coles, Aldi, K-Mart and Chinese supermarket), eat at different restaurants, and have manicure or massage.
Facilities: the unit is well equipped with cooking utensils, we cooked our breakfast. There is no buffet breakfast but a la carte menu at the country club. The country club has gym and swimming pool too.
Nearby attraction: we went to Werribee zoom, Weribee Park, Werribee Mansion, Joseph's resturant. The zoo has a safari bus which is a great attraction.
Staff: the staff is helpful. We requested a lake view room one day before. They helped us by calling the cleaner as our check in day is a public holiday. Much appreciated.

The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Nights were serene with barely any car noise. It’s about a 10-minute drive to a nearby mall with Coles, Kmart, and other essentials—super convenient. For travelers, it’s around 40 minutes from the airport, which is manageable.
Cleanliness:
This was a mixed bag. Upon entering, we noticed a burnt iron mark and several purple stains on the carpet. We made sure to report these to reception immediately due to the $300 AUD bond fee, to avoid being held responsible.
Being close to a lake or river meant encountering mosquitoes and some large flies. We also found spiders in the bathroom, but we managed to catch and release them outdoors. Towels provided were an issue—one was dirty when we checked in, and even the replacement towel the next day had stains. However, the beds were spotless, which was a relief.
Service:
The front desk staff were excellent—friendly, thorough, and accommodating. They explained all the amenities, including the location of the gym and pool, and handled our late checkout request graciously.
Facilities:
Although I didn’t personally use the gym or pool, the in-room facilities stood out. The smart TV was a bonus, with access to YouTube, Disney+, and Prime Video, ensuring entertainment for the family.
Room:
The two-bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious, with two bedrooms flanking a central living room. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, complete with an exhaust fan to keep the heat out. The beds were the highlight—so soft and comfortable, providing an excellent night’s sleep.
Overall:
While the initial issues with bugs were unpleasant (I dislike insects), once we cleared them out, the stay became very enjoyable. The spacious layout, serene environment, and cozy beds made it a pleasant experience overall.
