SSoghepardoAmazing central location, great room, polite staff, clean room and area , even tho there’s a sharing bathroom. Please guys, since is winter in Melbourne, add a heater inside the room, cause it was freezing. Having a fan that gives only fresh air, on winter season, doesn’t make any sense. Thank you ! Great experience! Not recommended if you have a car. I had to pay 15$ extra for the parking.

AAnonymous UserLocation is good, it is away from the tram hence not much of noise. This hostel is within CBD so you can walk to most of the tourist attractions. Room is clean there isn't any weird smell when I checked in. The toilet sink is very small and hardly enough space for toiletries. Staff cleans the toilet quite frequently but there is still room for improvement. Hair dryer and towel are available for rental during stay.

CCola_JCBecause the downtown hotel is too expensive, I booked a hotel 15 minutes drive from the city center. The room looks a bit old overall, but it is still clean. The wooden door of the toilet cannot be completely closed because of the dampness, and it is a bit inconvenient to have a hair dryer, others are acceptable.

Since feedback is that the shower heater does not work well where it gets cold and switches to hot suddenly causing my body to get burnt
I was told that I can arrive early and store my luggage first but I didn’t expect that what they mean by storing is leaving my bag on the open vide floor in the corner of the pub (definitely know that it won’t be kept safe since the employees themselves are busy running the pub)
The room is very smelly

GGuest UserThe Elgin Carlton Studios was small but perfect for a single or a couple for a few nights. Well located near to many restaurants with an enjoyable walk through parks to zoo precinct and easy tram return. Hot water wasn’t available but I’m sure the helpful team at the studios jumped onto that.

The different level of floor between kitchen and living room may hurt your feet if not careful enough. May recomemd to change kitchenware such as pan and add the toaster, rice cooker would be nice.

Because it's cheap, you can't expect too much of it.
Although breakfast is included, its breakfast is difficult to swallow. You should prepare your own breakfast.
Don't expect cheap hotels to be good, then this backpacker hotel is not bad.
Because there are so few cheap hotels here. Overall I give 50 points.
