GGuest UserGreat hotel, a bit too far from the city centre. If you’re a tourist, you may consider something more convenient (about 40m away from centre by public transport)

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Novotel Berlin Potsdamer Platz! The location is excellent, with many of Berlin's main attractions within walking distance and convenient public transportation nearby.
We did not have breakfast at the hotel, so we cannot comment on it. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and housekeeping did a great job every day. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help whenever needed.
The hotel fully met our expectations, and we had a great stay. We would definitely choose this hotel again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berlin!

OOnur22Premier Inn Berlin is a solid price-performance hotel in a very convenient location, just next to Alexanderplatz. The rooms are somewhat small, but clean, functional and comfortable enough for a short city stay. Public transportation access is also very easy from the hotel. The only downside was that some of the lobby staff seemed a bit weak in customer communication and not particularly welcoming.

GGuest UserThe breakfast offers a great variety, and the service is attentive. There's a snack vending area in the lobby on the first floor. In terms of location, it's quite central, with a small convenience store right across the street, making shopping and dining very convenient. Plus, it's close to attractions like the Jewish Museum and Checkpoint Charlie. You can even see the TV Tower from the window.

GGuest UserThe location for this hotel is ideal for exploring Berlin by foot or public transport. There are also quite a few attractions nearby or a short walk away and many good restaurants close as well.
We had very few interactions with staff as we had no issues during our stay and when we did speak with them they were kind and helpful. First thing we needed was to sort out parking and that was easy because there was free street parking in the evening and on weekends so that was free during our stay. We had a quick check in too.
We booked a double room for my wife and I and a single room for her mom. We both had a good amount of space and the rooms have furniture that utilize the space well including a desk, a safe, shelves with built in hangers and plenty of bars and hangers throughout the room to hang your things. There was a small TV, good lighting and some helpful lighting around the headboard. The tempurature control is good in the rooms with a thermostat on the wall that has a power button on top and controls on the front to control the air conditioning or heat. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very quiet at night so we got a good night's rest.
The bathroom was small but designed well. The shower had good pressure, plenty of hot water and a good curtain to keep the water in. They provide a shampoo/shower gel combo so you may want to consider bringing your own bath products.
If you book a suite you get a mini fridge and kettle but the regular rooms have neither. There are tea stations on even floors that have a nice filtered water dispenser that does hot, cold and room temperature water.

GGuest UserThe location is extremely good as it is just right next to the Karlshorst station. There's a coffee shop and a supermarket on the ground floor. There are also washing and drying machines in the basement.
I stayed there for 5 nights. The first day was not feeling good. The water from the shower was cold, and the hair dryer was so dirty. As the reception only operates in quite limited hours daily, even though there's a pretty good whatsapp AI communication channel to answer general questions, the above problems couldn't be solved until the next day. Besides, there's a bit of bad smell each time entering the room, but it's toreable.
Overall, considering the price and the location, this hotel is a competitive option for business or travel trips.

Aandre1976The 24-hour front desk offered a very friendly welcome. It's great to be able to leave your key when you go out and pick it up when you return. There's an elevator available. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. We had a shower curtain, but it was fine. There's a small fridge with drinks for purchase. A fan is provided for hot days. The breakfast buffet has a good selection and is sufficient. The coffee is from a pot, but there's plenty of it.
The only downside: We returned to the hotel at 12:30 AM on Friday night. Six guests were partying in the inner courtyard. We asked the porter to ensure quiet. Unfortunately, the guests then added music to the noise! When we called the porter, he preferred to speak in English! We then asked again for the guests to be moved inside the building, as it was already 1 AM. We could hear the people in the courtyard having even more fun rather than quieting down. When we went down in person again and threatened to call the police as a last resort, it slowly became quiet after 20 minutes!

AAnonymous UserI I had an unforgettable hotel experience. When I arrived, I tried to push the door open, but it was locked. There was no doorbell. Just as I was fretting over what to do, three groups of guests who had booked the same hotel tried to enter, but none of them could get in. Then one of the guests noticed a digital keypad and typed in the code from her email, but none of them could get in. Each of our groups tried their codes, but none of them could get in. As we were still fretting, the door suddenly opened, and a guest came out, allowing us all to enter. That guest explained that the hotel had emailed us a ten-digit start code and a four-digit comfort code. You had to enter the start code first, then the comfort code, to open the door. The other guests had both the start code and the comfort code, but my email only contained the comfort code. The kind guest checked my email and confirmed that it contained only the comfort code. He then called the hotel, and they said our reservation had been cancelled because we hadn't paid the city tax. However, I clearly saw on the check-in voucher that the €29.90 check-in fee was payable upon arrival. The staff member on the phone later said they would email us the payment and, after payment, gave us a new start code and comfort code. After payment, we finally got a room. However, upon checking in, I discovered it wasn't the Standard Studio with Balcony we'd booked, but a Standard Studio. I didn't want to call them again to complain about the mistake; I just wanted a comfortable room. The hotel's location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk from S train station, and the room was generally acceptable.

KKH265Great no frills hotel, perfect for a budget trip. Not super central but right by 3 different metro stations so getting into the central areas is super easy. Pillows weren’t the comfiest but that isn’t a massive issue! Staff were friendly and check in and out was very smooth. Breakfast was available for €10 each
