Berlin Hotels with Kitchens

"I had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade. The location is excellent — very convenient for exploring Berlin, with easy access to public transportation and major attractions. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making it perfect for both business and leisure trips. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a warm attitude. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of fresh options to choose from. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt elegant yet relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again on my next visit to Berlin."

"I travel around often and I sleep in hotels many nights a year, I had never experienced the situation that I had when I arrived at the Hilton Berlin. I had booked, and paid for a ‘Twin Room with Dome View’ about 4 months before the trip. Upon check-in, I was automatically assigned a room that was not twin nor Dome View (you can see the view in the pictures below); I went back to reception twice, to complain that this was not the room I had booked, the hotel staff was most unhelpful, they didn’t allow me to speak with the manager, nor did they provided any solution or any sort of compensation, their answer simply was that the hotel was booked up and that there was nothing they could do. This was wrong for different reasons, first they assigned me a room that only had one bed, secondly they didn’t provide any solution other than adding a little roller bed to the room, third they didn’t allow me to speak with the manager. I am very disappointed, these sort of experiences do not belong to a hotel chain like Hilton. This unfortunate incident tainted my stay at the hotel. I hope this review gets somehow to someone at Hilton and does something to avoid any further guests having a similar experience. Furthermore, the sauna facilities was apparently not part of the room rate (this was not mentioned whatsoever) and when I checked out I found that I had to pay for every single time I used the sauna."

"The hotel has a great location, with a large supermarket about 500-600 meters away. The prices there are reasonable, and the ingredients are very fresh. We often buy beer there; it's very convenient. The room was clean and hygienic, with all the necessary amenities. It's a kitchen with a full set of utensils: pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Dish soap was also provided. The attention to detail was excellent. There was a hairdryer, but no disposable slippers or toiletries, which is normal in Europe, as most hotels don't offer these. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet at night. The staff were friendly. Check-in is at 3 PM. Overall, it was a good experience, good value for money, and suitable for those who need to make a living. (Note: If the front desk is unavailable, you can check in at the 24-hour front desk of the adjacent hotel.) Hope this helps those who need it."

"Facilities: It is in an apartment building. The entrance is relatively hidden. It is a bit far away from the main attractions. It is a remote place in the city center. The room is large and there is a kitchen. Hygiene: OK, but the trash can is relatively hidden Environment: Not facing the street, very quiet Service: Not very good. Even if there is paper on the floor, they don’t clean it. They just make a bed and change bath towels every day."

"This is a very big hostel with hundreds of beds, though it did not feel cramped or loud. I had a quiet stay.   I stayed for 2 nights in a mixed dorm with three bunk beds and en-suite. The toilet and shower are separate which makes use easier. Hanson’s and shower gel is included, as is a hairdryer.   The room is spacious with tables and seating areas, this is also of use to those who on the top bunk who cannot sit on their bed as easily.  There is a mirror though a lack of hooks being only a hook and couple of hangers. The bed is of a metal frame and thus I was able to apply my travel straps and hooks to create places to hand my coat and bag. There is a locker big enough to take hand luggage sized bag (own lock needed).  The bed has a usb port for charging and a slot into which a phone will fit, though no individual light. The room has two lights and it is possible to turn on only one; the other people in my room came in and out at unsociable hours though we’re all respectful being quiet and also putting in the main light.   The mattress and pillow are comfy enough, you need to collect linen and make the bed yourself.  Everything was clean.  Reception is 24 hours though checking us via one of the 4 automated screens. It is through the machines that you do check in and pay tourist tax and the machine prints paper with your allocated room and bed number. You even activate the room card yourself. There is a sign in the desk with a map of blocks with room numbers in each one. That is all the welcome that you get; there is no explanation related to hostel layout or facilities. I had to ask in which direction to go to get to my block, the receptionist gave my directions and once I got to the room and found no bedding on the bed so went back to reception. The check in computer screen states that bed linen is provided free of charge and towels can be paid for at reception. The receptionist did not give me any bedding nor point to where to where to pick it up some thus I assumed the linen would be laid on the bed as in other hostels. The next day a person arriving in the room asked where he gets bed linen, he also did not get given any bedding even when talking with the receptionist. I do find it odd that you are expected to ask for the bedding: as this is the case I recommend updating the wording on the computer screen as it is ambiguous and gives the impression you only need to ask at reception if needing a towel.  There is a guest kitchen which has basic equipment: fridge, sink, microwave, 2 hot plates, 2 frying pans, 1 saucepan, some plates, bowls and some cutlery. There was one mug in which I made a cup of tea by heating water in the microwave. I recommend a kettle to boil water. The kitchen is sufficient for simple meals, making breakfast and sandwiches. I did not try the hostel breakfast.  There is one common area near reception with a bar and possibility to purchase food. Vending machines there. WiFi reliable. The common room can feel cramped when groups are there. There is good security as all entrance doors and lifts use card access. To access the guest kitchen ask at reception and they update your card.  The location is very good being 5 min walk from Ostkreuz train station. It is a direct line to Messe Nord where the bus station and FlixBus stop is. Easy to get public transportation into the cities. There are many shops, supermarkets and eating places nearby. Vegan kebab shop directly opposite.  Good value for money. I had a comfortable stay with no difficulties and I would stay again."

"Overall, it was a great stay. The location is super convenient; bus 248 is right outside, and it's just a 2-minute walk to the U2 Spittelmarkt station. Taxis are always available downstairs, and there are plenty of supermarkets nearby. If you're visiting Berlin, it's also very close to the main attractions. We went around Christmas, and the hotel atmosphere was lovely. The only minor issue was finding a bit of trash under the table on our check-in day, but the front desk was fantastic and quickly resolved the problem. Thumbs up for them! 👍 All in all, it was a wonderful experience!"

"It was a shame there was no kitchen. Free luggage storage is available before check-in. The shower room is outside the actual room. The common areas were a bit cramped."

"There was nothing to make. We had a very modern furnished double room for 2 nights of about 16 m2. Included was a microwave and a refrigerator with iced box. A small theche with hockers, made the room even more charming. The bathroom was also top. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Depending on your preferred place, you can use public transportation such as bus and tram or go a few steps to the S-Bahn stop. A shopping country is right next to and there were also various ways to saturate. There are fast food such as subway, doners or Chinese food, but also several restaurants nearby like Italians, Greeks, Thai etc. The hotel was the right choice for our stay."

"They provided a late check-in which was super convenient. The room was quite cosy and the bed could be small for a huge person (bunk-bed in a 4 person dormitory). For me, it was perfect for a few hours of sleep. The bathrooms and washrooms are shared and accessible separately outside the rooms. Very clean and comfortable stalls for a nice shower. The breakfast didn't have a lot of vegetarian options and it was a small spread, but enough for a quick bite in the morning. The staff is all helpful and friendly. Overall a good stay for a short time and on a budget. The location was also very convenient to reach from the S bahn and tram station."

"I recently stayed at the Maritim ProArte Hotel in Berlin and had a great experience. The location is perfect for exploring the city, with many top attractions within walking distance and easy access to public transportation. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, always available to provide recommendations or answer any questions. One of the highlights of the hotel was the sauna, where I was able to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, I would highly recommend the Maritim ProArte Hotel to anyone visiting Berlin and looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. "
