"In my opinion, it's more of a 3-star hotel than a 4-star one. Pros: a pleasant, new, large building very, very close to the Berlin central station, with platforms right outside the windows, which you can open.
Cons: 1. Cleaning was done every few days, so we did not have a place to put all the trash, the trash bin was full after the first day.
2. The mattress was so soft it was impossible to sleep on it, and for the first time in my life, I ended up sleeping on the floor.
3. Breakfast, in my opinion, was like that of a 3-star hotel; almost everything contained a lot of sugar. The only hot dishes were eggs, sausages, and meatballs, nothing else, not even mushrooms.
4. I really disliked the way guests were treated during breakfast, when part of the restaurant was closed off to fill completely the rest. Only when the next guests arriving had nowhere to sit was the rest of the room made available. Because tables were placed in a way that three tables touched each other, many people had to sit next to sick and coughing strangers because there was no room to move. I have never encountered such behavior, even in one-star hotels, and I find it outrageous in a hotel that costs 200 euros per night. 5. There is a tram running very close to the hotel, it makes a lot of noise, more than trains from the station."

"I stayed at Hotel bellman during my trip and had a great experience overall. The staff were really friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials. The food was simple but fresh and tasty. The only downside was a bit of street noise at night, but it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"Booked a twin room, but it was incredibly small with basic facilities that looked nothing like the pictures. The two beds were crammed together, leaving no other space. The wallpaper was peeling and messy, giving it a punk rock vibe. There weren't even any cups for brushing teeth. Overall, the conditions were really dismal, just like staying in a cheap motel next to a train station. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have absolutely no other options. The 19-euro parking fee was also very expensive."

"the bed was very comfortable, and the room had ample heating,internet speed was fast too. While there was no kitchen, there were plenty of great restaurants nearby offering a wide range of cuisines.
Most notably, the front desk staff were extremely helpful, especially Bety, Lueie, and Paulina. They had a great understanding of guests' needs and promptly arranged assistance whenever required.
This hotel offers excellent value for money and a great location—it’s definitely worth staying at!"

"The location is good, with S-Bahn and U-Bahn around and it gets to most places in Berlin.
Plenty of options of food for breakfast. The hotel is clean and tidy. The capsule coffee machine in the room didn’t work but they came and fixed it during the way so it was fine.
The only drawback is the hotel check in system: the self-check in doesn’t work and it just creates more work for the reception."

"I thought the hotel was excellent value - the room was on the small side and maybe a little cramped for 2 people, but it was totally managable. Everything in the room and bathroom worked well, except the air-conditioning did not get as cold as we like back in the USA. Small USB travel fans at night helped us just fine . The food at the breakfast was excellent, a very large variety and plenty to eat. Great coffee! I would recommend this hotel because the location is great - easy to access transit and you can walk to many museums and attractions in about 20 minutes."

"As we were traveling by car, it was convenient to drop off our luggage right at the hotel entrance. The hotel was impeccably clean, and our room featured a comfortable mattress. We also appreciated the kitchenette and the separate toilet and bathroom, which included both a bathtub and a walk-in shower. There's a public parking lot conveniently located nearby."

UuulissiVery good stay, hotel was fairly easy to reach, about 10/15 min from subway by foot. Good room, very clean and quiet. Very good breakfast. Gym also has plenty of exercise machines, fairly good for an hotel. Would stay again.

Walk 7 minutes in one direction and you are at Checkpoint Charlie. Walk 10 mins in the other direction and you are at the Mall of Berlin. Walk 20 mins in another direction and you are in the Museum area of Berlin. Loads of restaurants, supermarkets and stores right next door to the apartment. Wonderful location. Can walk everywhere, plus the subway station is right outside.
Room
Large. Clean. It's a studio apartment, so in one room you will have your bed, sofa, coffee table, desk, wardrobe and TV. Then in another room you will have your kitchen and another room is your bathroom.
Bedroom
Bed is comfortable, but for some reason, despite having a 1 double bed, the duvets supplied were for 2 single beds, rather than one big bed.
Plug sockets near the beds are useful, but they are not VERY near, but close enough.
The room is large and clean.
The TV is small and because of the size of the room, it's almost hard to see. Yes it's on a wheeled table so you can bring it closer to the bed, but the power cord limits the range of movement. It is a Smart TV though so you can cast your android phone to it. Not iOS
There is a balcony area with tables and chairs which is nice.
The AC is wall mounted as if it was a TV. It did cool the room which is surprising as the room is big.
Bathroom
Super clean. Towels and such changed daily. It's a bathtub with a shower combined. And now I am going to be SUPER picky when I say this......do NOT let this impact your decision to stay here or not, but the water pressure is good but not great. But that may be because I like to feel like the water is really shooting at my skin. Also, the shower head holder kept sliding down. Annoying, ever so slightly, but not a deal breaker
Kitchen
So useful. It's a large kitchen with a fridge plus freezer. Induction hob with 2 rings. Sink, dishwasher. Plates, bowls, cups, tea saucers and cups, cutlery, cooking pots, frying pans, utensils for them, cutlery for eating, kitchen knives, tea towels, sieves... all great and all provided. There was one review that said it only offered 1 plate set.... we had several and it was very very useful.
Laundry
The apartment has a laundry room. 3 washing machines, 3 drying units, an ironing board and good steam iron. Even the powder is provided and having a laundry room was super useful. It's on -1 floor of the West side of the building.
Breakfast
The breakfast room, on the 8th floor does have an amazing view, and the room is lovely - everything is white with stone-coloured chairs, super clean... as if designed by Apple
It's a half-buffet style, cereal, pastry, cheese, and cured meats are all help yourself. Eggs, tea and coffee are on request. I didn't like this. The staff are wonderful and very polite and well trained, but, for me, I prefer less interaction and would have preferred a full buffet-style where I can help myself to whatever I wanted without having to ask.
Gym and Sauna
Also on the 8th floor. The gym has wonderful views, there is a seated bike, treadmill, rowing machine, weight bench and some dumbbells. Max weight was 10kg for the dumbbells so really its more of a cardio room.
Service.
We arrived around 11pm, but reception is not open. You have to scan a QR code, fill in all your details, upload a photo of your passport.... then wait after it successfully registers you you can open the doors. Or you can pop into the security office where the guy will hand you a key. Much easier, but you are not explicitly told.
But, the service is good here. Everyone is very polite, very helpful, all speak English. Cannot fault them at all. Just wish the reception was 24 hours
The location is great, the room is large and clean, the laundry room is useful and the gym and breakfast room have great views. It is expensive which is the only hesitant thing about returning here, but it is comparable in price to other similar hotels but here you get a much larger room with a kitchen. Great stay!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the city center, and transportation is the biggest plus. The light rail and subway are right in front of the hotel and very close to the city center. The single room I booked was an attic room with a sloping roof and an area of less than 15 square meters. It was a little cramped and depressing when I checked in.
The front desk service is good, professional and enthusiastic. The room price is more than 900 per night. I feel that the price/performance ratio is not high. If I come to Berlin again, I probably won't stay here again.

The surrounding area has convenient transportation, with bus route 100 nearby. On the day I checked in, it happened to be the German Cup final, so there were a lot of Stuttgart and Bielefeld fans, which made the room price very expensive 😭. I watched the live broadcast that night, it was 4:2, congratulations Stuttgart!

AAnonymous UserI I had an unforgettable hotel experience. When I arrived, I tried to push the door open, but it was locked. There was no doorbell. Just as I was fretting over what to do, three groups of guests who had booked the same hotel tried to enter, but none of them could get in. Then one of the guests noticed a digital keypad and typed in the code from her email, but none of them could get in. Each of our groups tried their codes, but none of them could get in. As we were still fretting, the door suddenly opened, and a guest came out, allowing us all to enter. That guest explained that the hotel had emailed us a ten-digit start code and a four-digit comfort code. You had to enter the start code first, then the comfort code, to open the door. The other guests had both the start code and the comfort code, but my email only contained the comfort code. The kind guest checked my email and confirmed that it contained only the comfort code. He then called the hotel, and they said our reservation had been cancelled because we hadn't paid the city tax. However, I clearly saw on the check-in voucher that the €29.90 check-in fee was payable upon arrival. The staff member on the phone later said they would email us the payment and, after payment, gave us a new start code and comfort code. After payment, we finally got a room. However, upon checking in, I discovered it wasn't the Standard Studio with Balcony we'd booked, but a Standard Studio. I didn't want to call them again to complain about the mistake; I just wanted a comfortable room. The hotel's location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk from S train station, and the room was generally acceptable.

Reception services were good and could stay in lobby kitchen before check in time.
The room had oven, fridges, sink and the bathroom and shower is common.
The surprise was that there was also a tv.
The breakfast has not many vegan options as announced but it was quite good and is taken outside where is also garden.
