📍 Behmstraße 27 Mitte, Mitte, Berlin

"I stayed here as a base for exploring Berlin. The location was absolutely fantastic, with super convenient transportation links. It's really close to Berlin Central Station, the city center, and even a shopping mall directly connected to the station that has a supermarket, which was really handy. I'd love to stay here again if I get the chance."

"Lovely hotel with excellent breakfast - tasty cinnamon porridge, fruits, breads, cooked foods in the buffet, tea etc. Location of the hotel great - easy from the airport (mainline train then either short bus or metro ride). H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz ★★★★

📍 Karl-Liebknecht-Str. 32, Mitte, Berlin

"The beds were comfortable but not wide enough. The pillows were uncomfortable. The room had a bad smell when entering. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of everything. I also enjoyed the free bottles of water and the bonbons. Unfortunately there was no fridge in the room. There was only a kettle for coffee. The location of the hotel was nice, near hofbrau haus. The underground garage was convenient. The price was a little bit high. I recommend the hotel."

Good Morning + Berlin City East Hotels in Berlin

"The hotel is reasonably priced, clean and tidy, and is cleaned every day. There are many supermarkets around and shopping is convenient. It is a good choice for short business trips. It is best to have a hot water kettle."

The Circus Hotel Hotels in Berlin

The Circus Hotel

"I spent four wonderful days in Berlin during the middle of the June 2026 heatwave, and I'm delighted that I chose The Circus Hotel as my base. Getting there from Berlin Brandenburg Airport couldn't have been easier by train and U-Bahn. In fact, one of the hotel's biggest advantages became apparent the moment I arrived—the street-level exit from Rosenthaler Platz U-Bahn station is practically on its doorstep. After a day of traveling, that was a very welcome sight! My first impression was excellent thanks to the friendly gentleman who checked me in—I believe his name was Denis. He was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Throughout my stay, I encountered many different members of staff, and every single one was courteous, professional, and happy to assist. Great customer service really does make a difference, and the team here should be proud of themselves. My single room on the second floor, conveniently located near the lift, was exactly what I needed. It was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully furnished, and overlooked the peaceful garden at the back of the hotel, making it a lovely place to unwind after a busy day exploring Berlin. One thing worth mentioning is that my visit coincided with one of the hottest spells of the year. The hotel doesn't have air conditioning, which initially made me a little nervous. Fortunately, the room stayed surprisingly comfortable. I had brought along a small portable fan for a bit of extra air circulation, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the room coped with the heat. And after a long day of sightseeing, the wonderfully cold shower was an absolute lifesaver—although if you're feeling brave, there's plenty of hot water too! The location is another major highlight. It made exploring Berlin incredibly easy. I could head out in the morning, return to the hotel for an afternoon rest during the hottest part of the day, then head back out in the evening refreshed and ready for more sightseeing. Hackescher Markt, Museum Island, and Berlin Cathedral are all within comfortable walking distance, while excellent public transport puts the rest of the city at your fingertips. Rosenthaler Platz itself has plenty of cafés, bakeries, restaurants, and takeaway options, along with convenience stores for anything you may have forgotten—or if you simply need to stock up on drinks before another day of sightseeing. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Circus Hotel. It combines a fantastic location, comfortable rooms, and genuinely exceptional staff, making it an easy hotel to recommend. If I return to Berlin—and I certainly hope I do—I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

Maritim ProArte Hotel Berlin Hotels in Berlin

Maritim ProArte Hotel Berlin

"I experienced severe but subtle racial discrimination at the front desk. On my first day, the young man at the front desk looked at me with disbelief. When I said "Good evening, sir," he didn't respond, seemingly not believing that a Chinese person would stay in a hotel like theirs. However, I politely checked in anyway and let it go. What was infuriating was that the next day, when I went to the front desk to ask for a bar of soap and a shaving kit, another white man there gave me a disdainful look, as if I were a beggar. He didn't move, just made me wait, and pretended to be busy as he rewrote the words on a form before slowly going to get them for me. I said "thank you," and he didn't even look at me, just said "very well." This is typical German racism—ignoring Chinese people, making you wait in line for ages, and then not even giving you a second glance. When I said "Good afternoon," he didn't reply at all, just stared at me. Racial discrimination is the most intolerable thing when traveling abroad. The hotel itself was indeed luxurious, with large rooms in a good location, a grand entrance, and convenient transportation; there were many restaurants and train stations nearby. However, the air conditioning in the room was weak; even at maximum setting, it didn't feel effective. Adding to the problem was the racial discrimination. Soap and razors should have been provided in the room, but since they weren't, I went to the front desk to ask for them, only to be met with classic German-style discrimination. The young white man at the front desk didn't even believe a Chinese person could be a guest at his hotel. Those who don't care about racial discrimination can come and stay."

"This was my first time encountering a self-check-in. Although it required a bit more effort on my part, which was a little inconvenient, it was a new experience and relatively smooth, with staff on hand to guide me. The environment is nice, it's a newly renovated hotel with modern facilities."

Heart of Gold Hostel & Capsules Berlin ★★
"The location is very good, even on foot you're close to some main attractions. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and we appreciated the free water, tea, and coffee in the lobby. Our room had two single beds and, although not mentioned beforehand, we were pleased to find that it included a private bathroom. Towels were also provided. However, the bathroom had no shower gel or soap at all. The room was meant to have underfloor heating, but we were cold for two nights due to a draught from the balcony door; only the last night was warm, and there was no thermostat to adjust the temperature. The beds creaked loudly with even the smallest movement. Finally, entering the room with the key card was surprisingly difficult — sometimes it took 2–4 minutes for the door to read the card, even after replacing it."

"Excellent location, right near the station! My room didn't have an electric kettle, but there's a lounge next to the front desk where you can get free hot water from a dispenser, right next to the paid coffee machine. They also have paper cups, so I took some back to my room to make tea and miso soup!"

H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz ★★★★
"Great location. Central to many things. Ideal for travel from the airport to Alexanderplatz station, short walk from there.Close to many bars and restaurants. A comfortable room with a courtyard view, an excellent bathroom, breakfast was plentiful and delicious The staff were helpful. House keeping carried out if you require it but reception needs to be informed daily. This is becoming normal practice here and other hotels. Only negative there is no fridge which is unusual for a hotel of this grading"
