GGuest UserThis is a family hotel, I didn't notice it when I booked it. The room was clean and it was a 15-minute walk from the ferry in the town. The landlord had a lot of rules: for example, you can't bring food from the restaurant back to the room, put your shoes on the tray, check out at 10 o'clock, and you can't store your bag after checking out.

GGuest UserWe stayed for two nights. It was close to the station and within walking distance. It was conveniently located near restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, and other establishments, yet the surrounding area was very quiet and relaxing. We could walk to Bowness, but had to walk up a hill on the way back, so we took the bus.
The staff were very kind and helpful, showing us directions to nearby attractions and carrying our suitcases up to our room on the third floor.

GGuest UserThe YHA is situated between two lovely towns, Ambleside and Windermere, offering the perfect opportunity for a variety of walks. The staff were very helpful and polite, and the view from the hostel’s patio was breathtaking. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you – we had an absolutely fabulous time!

PPriyanka BajirajThe property and the ambience is lovely. The view from the restaurant garden is very pleasant and beautiful. The room size, bathroom size and amenities were good. We faced 1 major problem to be precise which made us a bit sore.
Cleanliness - the room was clean except for the carpet. It didn’t feel like it was vacuumed. There was probably a pet staying in that room before us and there was a lot of hair on the carpet. I understand it is a pet friendly property and I have absolutely no problem with that. But cleaning the room properly before the next checkin is a basic expectation. We couldn’t step on the floor without our feet being covered with hair.
Apart from that, everything else was very good. Breakfast was also good and the customer service was very polite and hospitable as well.

ZZhouxiaoyunThe hotel is very close to the train station, and with all our luggage, we made a great choice.
It's an old house converted into a B&B, so there's no elevator, so you had to carry your luggage upstairs. The room was spacious and quite clean.
The best part was their breakfast, which you order from the menu and was delicious. Dinner reservations are required. I was careless and didn't make it this time, so I missed out. If you go again, please remember to make reservations! Important things can't be said enough.

LLeon-zhao-2013I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but everything was fine after checking in. The room was large, the hot water was good, and the location was very convenient. The only shortcoming was that there was no information from the hotel before arriving, which was puzzling. I had to actively find a way to contact the store to inform me. It would be perfect if this could be improved. However, this price is considered cheap here, so there is no need to worry about no one booking. Hi!
