"This summer, the Resort Hotel provided me with a comfortable and relaxing stay, filled with thoughtful details that truly enhanced my experience. The hotel is situated across the lake from the theme park. On weekdays, there's a ferry to the park's pier every 20 minutes after 11 AM, accessible to hotel guests with their room key. At 6:55 AM, there's a shuttle bus to the park, and hotel guests have an exclusive entrance, separate from those with standard early entry passes. This significantly reduced the crowd, making entry incredibly smooth. Early access allowed me to quickly enjoy my favorite ride, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. When I got tired around midday, I could take the shuttle back to the hotel by going down the stairs opposite the Xinwang Cafe in the town area. The hotel's restaurants were also excellent, offering both ร  la carte and buffet options. The atmosphere was very Disney. The hotel lobby, located on the third floor, had a pianist playing Disney-themed music with a touch of blues. The hotel staff were incredibly warm, polite, and attentive to every guest. There's also a Fairy Godmother's shop where you can find hotel-exclusive merchandise. Each room gets one purchase opportunity per day using a QR code, and many of these special items are limited edition, adding to the emotional value for guests. From a practical standpoint, putting all the above aside, the most important aspect is the reduced waiting time and shorter travel distances, making everything much easier. The Resort Hotel allowed me to relax more, whether it was the exclusive early access, or the return ferry and shuttle. Getting good rest also helped me tackle the Mine Train again the next day. Personally, I feel that instead of spending the same amount of money on an express pass, staying at the Resort Hotel offers a comparable experience for rides plus better accommodation and service. This is my ideal holiday lifestyle. From Monday onwards, it was incredibly crowded, and many people only managed to experience three rides in a day, but I still happily enjoyed my magical time. For me, I experienced the hotel, which was warm and joyful, and I enjoyed the rides. This was a truly memorable trip!"

"The hotel rooms are really unique, with options like RVs and treehouses. However, since they're nestled in the woods and gardens, and close to water, combined with Shanghai's humid climate, the rooms can feel a bit damp. If you can handle the humidity, it's a great experience, especially for people who appreciate individuality. Falling asleep to the sound of crickets at night is a definite plus."

"Stepping into the room, I was immediately greeted by the towering 'Huangpu River Four-Piece Set' (referring to the iconic skyscrapers) outside the window. Sitting on the sofa, the Huangpu River unfolded before me like a dynamic scroll painting. The bedding was incredibly soft and delicate; I instinctively wrapped myself tightly in the duvet. The Aesop pine-scented amenities were elegant and long-lasting, perfectly matching the Waldorf's style. The walk-in closet was well-designed and practical. I had bought some 'Ice Beauty,' 'Goddess,' 'Pink Iron Cannon,' and 'Orange Dream' flowers, and was using the room's trash can as a makeshift vase. The thoughtful Nini noticed and kindly replaced it with a beautiful glass vase. ๐Ÿ‘ Aaron and Katrina provided meticulous and attentive service. It was a great 4-day experience. I'll definitely be back."

"Facilities: The room facilities are still top-notch, though some things were missing compared to last year. For example, I couldn't find the bathtub remote control โ€“ maybe it was hidden? The bedside alarm clock was gone. I doubt the bedside air freshener would have been provided if I hadn't asked, even though I know it was available in 2025. Unlike last year, they didn't call us in advance to offer a birthday cake. This year, I spent 4,000 for one night for my son's birthday, and we got absolutely nothing. The butler, Linda, was okay. I was planning to message her on WeChat to tell her she was one of the only two good things about my stay โ€“ her service and the consistently rich T9 Earl Grey tea. However, I found out she deleted me. It seems she was just putting on a show for two days, and now she's revealed her true colors, just like the hotel. Who cares, anyway? Hygiene: The room hygiene was decent, except for the pool. It pales in comparison to the quiet and clean pool of 2025. It seems they outsourced it this year, as there was no mineral water or towels by the pool. The showers were also dirty and messy compared to 2025. When I got to the changing room, there were no shower towels either, which was very awkward. A middle-aged man, who I assume was the contractor, saw me complaining about the lack of towels and called someone to arrange for them. As a high-end hotel under Jinjiang Hotels, J Hotel shouldn't outsource its pool. Ensuring privacy is crucial for a luxury hotel. I guess this will be my last stay at Jinjiang J Hotel. Of course, we won't hinder others from making money, but I definitely won't be staying at J Hotel again. I'll stick to places like The Peninsula, The Fairmont Peace Hotel, InterContinental, and Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao. I had originally planned to buy Jinjiang Hotels stock (600754) worth around 50 million over two years, but it seems there's no need for such 'value investing.' Without good service, the stock's value is worthless. I hope J Hotel makes some changes. This time, when I went to the pool, I saw many people learning to swim in the murky water who clearly weren't hotel guests. I didn't even go in; I just got out and left. I'm very disappointed with the J Hotel pool this time. Someone was even proudly telling five or six middle-aged women how 'high-end' their pool was, likely because they were there for their children's swimming lessons. Such behavior truly disheartens guests; there's no privacy and no peace at all. Environment: The hotel environment is still good, given it's only been open a few years. Service: This year's service is a huge step down from 2025. Farewell, J Hotel. I will 101% not be staying here again!"

"Initially, I wasn't thrilled about staying here after seeing the gym. However, I heard the spa was good and it was close to a few restaurants we'd booked, so we decided to go for it. The river view was also quite decent. But seriously, is the service team outsourced or something? Everyone seemed so unenthusiastic (not sure why they're so aloof ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ), and I even had to go downstairs myself to pick up food deliveries. ๐Ÿ˜… Breakfast was okay; my partner said the Chinese options were better. They specifically praised the tea-marinated eggs and the beef in the beef noodles. The New York set allowed for scrambled eggs, which worked out well since we're pure protein eaters. ๐Ÿ˜… The mini-bar items were generally on the pricier side. They delivered cake daily, and we even received luggage tags when we checked out. The gymโ€ฆ well, I'd say about 90% of guests don't use it, and the remaining 9% go to the pool for photos. I guess I'm the only one genuinely trying to burn fat. ๐Ÿฅฒ The treadmills are ancient Technogym models, seriously vintage! Plus, the treadmills are placed way too close to the wall; I kept feeling like I was about to hit it during my runs, can I even say that? ๐Ÿค And the gym was freezing cold, even adjusting the AC didn't help much. Congrats to me for setting a new personal best for a 10km fasted run in sub-zero conditions! ๐Ÿฅฒ The green apples were quite tasty. Apart from that, the spa is definitely the most commendable! My partner and I went every day. ๐Ÿฅฐ Both the facial and Chinese massage treatments were excellent!"

"This stay was absolutely perfect, a solid five stars! The hotel's location is fantastic, making it super convenient for shopping. The room was spotless, not a hint of any unpleasant smells, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable โ€“ perfect for resting after a day of shopping with friends. The common areas were also impeccably clean and beautifully maintained. Bonnie at the front desk was incredibly efficient during check-in and was consistently gentle and patient.
