We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. The hotel has a very stylish overall decor, brand-new facilities, and an absolute killer view. Right outside is Suzhou Creek, and Zhapu Bridge offers arguably the best spot to view the city's ”Three-Piece Set” skyscrapers. A special shout-out to the hotel service—it is exceptionally thoughtful!! We stayed in connecting rooms with our 9-month-old baby, and the hotel provided a bed guardrail and a baby bathtub, which was a massive help for traveling with a little one! Every time we called the front desk for something, the response was prompt and thorough~ The housekeeping lady even gave us extra bottled water upon learning that we needed purified water to make formula; she was just so kind~ There was a singing bowl session at the spa on Saturday, and an introduction and invitation were placed in the room to promote it. Although we didn't end up going, we tried the facial and massage, which was super relaxing and comfortable—I fell asleep for an hour straight. My skin looked noticeably brighter and glowing after the brightening facial, and still felt baby-soft the next day. The only minor regret was that at the Jia Fu Yi Hao restaurant, one signature dish was sold out for the day, and the chef who makes another signature dish was on day off. However, the other dishes we ordered (forgot the names, see photos) were also delicious, especially the braised pork intestines, which were fragrant and flavorful. I'll definitely stay here again given the chance.

We had such great luck on this trip, and booking the hotel went smoothly. Choosing the Pudong Shangri-La was definitely the right decision! The location is super convenient—it's very easy to take a stroll along the riverside, and heading over to Super Brand Mall for dining and walking with the kids is a breeze. Best of all, the hotel service is simply amazing! WALLE WANG, the young lady who helped us with the check-in process, was so lovely. Seeing that we were traveling with a toddler under three, she went out of her way to help us upgrade to a river-view suite. This was a wonderful surprise for our family of three visiting Shanghai for the very first time! The suite is spacious, and our little one was thrilled to run around. The cleanliness of the hotel gave us great peace of mind, and the room setup was delightful. We will definitely stay here again the next time we return to China.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It has an excellent location, which made my trip around Shanghai very convenient. My room was comfortable and well kept, fully meeting my expectations. The best part was the amazing view from the window.l could see the Huangpu River, the Bund and the Oriental Pearl Tower clearly. Watching the beautiful city scenery was such a lovely experience every day. All the hotel staff provided great service with friendly attitudes.They were polite and ready to assist whenever I needed something. Everything went smoothly during my check-in and check-out. This hotel is a wonderful choice for visitors who want to admire Shanghai's iconic riverside landmarks. I would love to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai and highly recommend it to other travellers.

A month before the National Day holiday, I started planning our family trip with our 2.5-year-old. He's not really suited for crowded tourist spots, and as low-energy parents, we're not up for intense 'special forces' style parenting either. So, I opted for a 'staycation,' which is super popular on Xiaohongshu (xhs). I'd bookmarked several highly-rated family-friendly hotels, and Pudong Kerry stood out as the most satisfying from my research. It offered family rooms, a kids' playground, and direct access to a mall – incredibly convenient! I quickly booked a stay on Ctrip, full of anticipation. We checked in on the evening of the 3rd. The front desk lady was very polite and answered all my questions in detail. When I asked if an additional adult could accompany my child into the playground (the package included entry for one adult and one child, but I was worried I wouldn't have enough energy and we'd need to take turns looking after him 🤣), she agreed without hesitation. I'm really grateful for that, and it proved to be a lifesaver in the playground – we truly couldn't keep up with our child! He had an amazing time, and we parents were exhausted. Upon entering the room, we immediately saw the special tent, a highlight of the family suite. Forget kids, even I, a 30+ adult, wanted to crawl in and hang out for a bit! For the two days we stayed, this little tent became his 'secret base.' When we were relaxing in the hotel, he'd be in there watching Qiaohu (Chuckle) or playing with his toys. The hotel also gifted him a little kangaroo plushie. Wow, it completely won him over and became his 'best buddy.' Every night before bed, he'd ask, 'Where's my best buddy?' Hahaha, the innocence of a child really touches your heart every single moment. The kangaroo T-shirt was a bit big, but that's fine; he can wear it when he's older and we can come back to the Kerry Hotel again. During check-in, the bed rail and children's toiletries were all prepared, which was very thoughtful. The first round of the mini-bar was free, and they even provided cookies, which tasted pretty good. The only suggestion I have is that the bed rail felt a bit unstable. At the head of the bed, it was fine because of the cabinet propping it up, but the foot of the bed felt loose; if you nudged it slightly, it felt like it would fall. Later, I was worried he might roll off in the middle of the night if the rail gave way, so I stuffed pillows along the side of the rail, which solved the problem. Hotel breakfast is on the 1st floor. Booking a family room includes two breakfasts. The breakfast spread was extensive, with Chinese and Western options, noodles, wontons, bread, and pastries – everything you could want, and it all tasted good. Next to the kids' playground was a gym, which looked very good with plenty of equipment, but I didn't get to experience it as I was with my child. This trip was very satisfying, and I look forward to returning to the Kerry Hotel to unlock new experiences.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, and its blend of a magnificent historic building with East-meets-West interior design imbues every detail with profound depth and elegant charm. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, offering superb views of both sides of the Huangpu River. All the staff I encountered were well-trained, friendly, and provided efficient and attentive service. The breakfast buffet, featuring both Western and Chinese options, was abundant and authentic in taste. The Long Bar on the ground floor of the old building is highly recommended; it has been meticulously restored to its original appearance from a century ago, exuding a vintage yet exquisite ambiance. On Friday nights, live jazz musicians enhance the already fantastic atmosphere.

Five-star rating! The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around and dining. The room was impeccably clean, the bed was just right—not too soft, not too hard—and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a very peaceful sleep. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient with check-in and check-out. They were also very responsive to requests. The facilities are comprehensive, with plenty of hot water. The value for money is outstanding. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

First off, the room decor is absolutely stunning, as it always is at W hotels. I've stayed at Ws in Xi'an, Macau, and Chengdu, and now Shanghai – their design aesthetic is consistently modern and really resonates with us Gen Z. The room layout and attention to detail are spot-on. They never disappoint when it comes to style. Secondly, I won't go into too much detail about cleanliness; W hotels consistently maintain high standards, so no issues there. Thirdly, the service was excellent. Any request I had was promptly considered and accommodated by the hotel. You feel the exceptional service from the moment you step into the hotel. Staff members are present from the luggage drop-off all the way to the elevator lobby, waiting to assist. Furthermore, the dining experience was fantastic. The breakfast at every W I've visited has been superb, truly top-notch. Finally, since it was our first time at the Shanghai W, the front desk even upgraded our room! I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in a 'Marvelous Suite'. The whole experience was absolutely brilliant. The only minor drawback was that the drinks and room setup included in the Ctrip package weren't prepared in advance, even though I had called a day earlier. If those details could also be taken care of beforehand, so you walk into a fully prepared room, then this would truly be a 10/10 experience.

I had a very satisfying stay. The front desk was very helpful and allowed us a late check-out. The room was clean and tidy, and there were snacks and various teas available in the lobby. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the subway station. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely come back again. Great value for money in the city center!

On my annual leave, I traveled from Zhuhai to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shantou, Xiamen, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing, Suzhou, and finally Shanghai. This hotel in Shanghai was the most satisfying place my parents and I stayed during the entire trip. First, it's super close to the North Exit of Shanghai Station, just a few steps away – absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful, even giving us breakfast vouchers, which was a very kind touch. Given the room rates, the value for money is exceptionally high! It was very quiet at night, ensuring a good sleep, and the room was well-equipped with all necessary appliances. Transportation is excellent with trains, long-distance buses, and the subway all nearby. It's also easy to hail a ride-sharing service right outside the hotel. The breakfast buffet was great, with excellent service from the staff and delicious food. Oh, and a special shout-out to the hairdryer and the smart toilet in the room – big thumbs up! We had a wonderful time enjoying a night cruise on the Huangpu River along the Bund. Due to its prime location right next to Shanghai Station, this hotel is a must-choose for any travelers needing to transfer or wanting to explore. The decor is new, and the service is top-notch! Highly recommended!
