CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed. Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free. The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all. Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!

RRouwanxinxinziThe price was great, especially since it's so close to the Bund and you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower from the window! It's also super convenient, being very close to the subway, making it easy to get anywhere. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is just around the corner, and you can even walk to the Bund. The service was excellent, and the cleanliness was good too. Since I arrived in the morning, they allowed early check-in as there was a room available. For food deliveries, a robot brings it up to your room, and the mini-fridge is stocked with complimentary bottled water, soda, and Coke. Working by the window was quite pleasant and relaxing.

GGuest UserWe booked for airport transfer from the hotel via we chat.  They response very quickly.   However the shuttle got problem on the way and could not make it to the airport but they informed us quickly and try to help in every way.    The service and their responsibility are impressive.   During our stay, the front and the bell are very helpful.  They try to help for every request we ask.    They cannot speak English but that was not the problem, with translation equipment, the communication is no more the problem.    The facilities are superb.   Shower with good water flow, easily adjusted.   I really love their shampoo with Sandalwood fragrance, good quality.   We stay in zootopia room.  The room was designed with nice details.     The mattress and blanket are good quality.  They even have massage chair at the lobby, very thoughtful for the long day at Disneyland. The food are mostly Chinese way, but they have some selection for kids and foreigner.    The fried vegetables are tasty, freshly from the family garden in front of the hotel.   Our family enjoy the breakfast. The location is good for the ones who would like to have a touch with local not the city.   Many local restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel.   Easily access to Disneyland.   Their Disney shuttle system via we chat is very effective.   I picked this hotel because they provide many rounds of Disney transfers.    And even we pick other time, taxi is just 18-20 yuan, 10 min away.       The hotel is quite far away from Shanghai city 1+ hours by taxi. But it is in the middle between  city and Shanghai astronomy museum, which suits us well.     Thanks all staffs for the hospitality.

EELI1363We had a great stay at this cozy and friendly hotel. The staff were very warm and welcoming, and our room was nice and clean — they even left us some fruit as a welcome gesture. The breakfast was good, and there was also a coffee machine in the lobby, which was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserBack in Shanghai, after visiting Disney with my child, I experienced true five-star service from the moment the concierge opened the car door. Check-in at the front desk was quick and professional. I was especially thrilled to meet Jennie again at the front desk. Seeing that I had a child with me, she thoughtfully upgraded our room, provided kids' toiletries and a small bathrobe, and even set up a tent, which was a wonderful surprise and made my child very happy. Meeting Jennie actually made us feel like we were coming home, truly embodying the saying, 'You fall in love with a city because of one person.' This really rings true after staying at the Ritz. The hotel's location is superb, with lovely views, and a shopping mall right downstairs. The room was spotlessly clean, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring we had a great night's sleep. The facilities are, of course, top-notch – comfortable bedding and charming night views. But what truly made me remember this city was every smile and every perfectly timed act of care from the hotel staff. Looking forward to my next visit!

IimnotminFrom the moment you step into the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, the elegant charm of Old Shanghai beautifully intertwines with the Bund's vibrant bustle. From your room, you can take in the Lujiazui skyline, with the Huangpu River's day and night flow just outside your window. The personalized concierge service from Aaron Echole was incredibly meticulous, and the entire staff, from concierge to the front desk, exuded the calm sophistication of a long-standing luxury hotel. Enjoying a 'Shanghai Club' cocktail at the Long Bar in the evening felt like stepping back in time to the social scene of a century ago. An absolutely impeccable stay.

GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a minimalist Japanese style, with a clean and atmospheric environment. The staff are very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport on the hour, which is super convenient for catching flights – a big plus! However, staying for four consecutive days, the breakfast selection was incredibly monotonous and never changed. It got really boring after a while. The late-night snack options were also very limited, with only noodles and congee available – far too few choices. Furthermore, during my stay, I noticed that the indoor air felt stuffy and poorly ventilated, always with a stale odor. My room was close to the road, so opening the window meant car noise, but closing it made the room stuffy and smelly, which significantly reduced my comfort. On a positive note, they thoughtfully gave me a small souvenir when I checked out, which was a lovely touch. Overall, the service and airport shuttle were good, but the stay would be much better if they could improve the breakfast variety, add more late-night snack options, enhance room ventilation and soundproofing, and eliminate the stale indoor smell.

JjaspenI've wanted to stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund for a long time, and finally got to during my recent trip to Shanghai. It wasn't as perfect as I'd imagined. First, the good points: The environment is nice, and the cleanliness is decent. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The outdoor bar was the best experience. Now, for the less satisfying aspects: 1. Previously, when staying at hotels, you could contact scalpers or certain individuals on platforms to use their membership tiers for room upgrades. Since I booked in advance, I contacted them early about a possible upgrade. I was told that if there was an available room type on the day, I could be upgraded. However, on the day of check-in, they claimed there were no rooms available and didn't upgrade me. At the time, I checked the Ctrip app and saw that rooms *were* available. I'm a platinum member with upgrade benefits, and I still didn't get one. 2. My Ctrip booking included two complimentary drinks, but the front desk didn't provide vouchers during check-in. I only found out at the bar that I needed to go back to the front desk to get them. 3. I had a lot of things and wanted to use the black bag in the closet. Unfortunately, it was broken, and the hotel hadn't replaced it in time.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very convenient, located near Shanghai Railway Station. The staff kindly allowed me to check in early and upgraded my room. Although there was a language barrier, they were very helpful and used a translation app to communicate with me. The hotel also has free facilities such as a kids’ playroom, gym, and laundry room.
