A very beautiful and atmospheric place. But be prepared for a lot of walking up and down stairs. Beautiful old streets, lined with souvenir shops and street food. If you get away from the wide central street, you'll enjoy the walk more. The streets will be narrower, less crowded, and much more beautiful.

For my trip to Chongqing, I chose to stay at the Hilton Lianglukou, and overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Yuzhong District, right next to Lianglukou Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient to get to popular spots like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and the local Chongqing noodles were authentic and delicious, creating a wonderful dining atmosphere. The hotel's facilities were excellent, with a heated swimming pool and a gym that were both fully operational, providing great opportunities for relaxation and exercise. The front desk and concierge staff were professional and attentive, making the check-in process efficient and smooth. Although it's an established five-star hotel, it's well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. The overall value for money is high, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Chongqing. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

The conditions here are excellent. The room is very spacious and comfortable, with three windows on two sides. They provide so much complimentary bottled water that I couldn't even finish it all, and they thoughtfully placed two bottles in the fridge. The bathroom, shower, and sink are all separate, which is very convenient to use. The bedding is clean and hygienic, soft and skin-friendly. The mattress is soft and thick. Overall, the service was also very satisfying.

This hotel was the best one we stayed at during our trip back to China. Angelina at the front desk was absolutely amazing! 👍👍 She was so attentive and patiently answered all our questions. She even upgraded our room when we asked. The hotel food was also super good, and the facilities were complete, clean, and beautiful. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Even the staff outside the lobby were incredibly warm and funny. My husband, who was visiting Chongqing for the first time, absolutely loved this hotel. Plus, its location near Jiefangbei is fantastic. We'll definitely come back here on our next trip to China. Highly recommend! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch. Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time. Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused. The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space. Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both. Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful. All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Both Jiaochangkou and Linjiangmen are nearby, and you can walk to Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and the Mountain City Trail. The front desk service was also very warm and attentive. The bedding was decent, but the facilities were a bit old; I forgot to take pictures. There are many food options downstairs, and I bought some when I saw shorter queues at the stalls that usually have long lines.

This hotel is located right across from Bayi Square and is also close to the subway. Stepping out, you're on Bayi Road Food Street, where you can find all sorts of local specialty snacks. The staff were very warm and attentive. When we arrived, they immediately offered us refreshing lemon and plum juice from the hotel's self-service, which was incredibly crisp and tasty. Housekeeping was prompt; they even helped us with laundry while we were out exploring. Food delivery riders can bring orders directly to your room. Honestly, if it's not too hot, a short walk will get you to a ton of great food options. You can easily walk to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong from here, and to get to Liziba, you can take Line 2. Across the street from the hotel, you get a great mountain view, and you can even spot the Golden Eagle. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves food and exploring!

My stay here was quite a pleasant experience. The room was very clean with no strange odors, and the bed was just the right firmness. They even offer to change the mattress to a firmer one if needed, which is very thoughtful – I slept really well. The soundproofing was good; even though it's by a street, it was quiet at night. The front desk staff, particularly YOYO, was warm and polite. Check-in and check-out were quick, with minimal waiting. The surrounding area has convenient transportation, a shopping mall nearby, and plenty of dining options like hot pot and Sichuan restaurants. Although the hotel is a bit older, the overall environment is clean and comfortable, with a luxurious and grand design. The bathroom amenities were complete and met Marriott standards, and they were very good quality. The room had good natural light and ventilation, making for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Service was prompt and issues were resolved quickly. The location is easy to find, with two gleaming golden towers visible even from several blocks away, making travel very convenient. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property.  Everyone was so nice and kind.  The service was top- notch.  The amenities were plenty and easy accessible.   A few extras that made everything worth it were the full- sized refrigerator, with freezer, the washing machine (for which they provided soap as well), dish washer, stove top, towel drier ( in the washroom) and full sized closet.  The view was so beautiful and calming as well.   Everything about this room was just so nice and exactly what I needed.     I didn’t realize how perfect the location was in relation to almost everything that I wanted to see.   When I figured that out, I just got up every day and walked to everything that I needed or wanted to see.   It was extremely close to a lot of restaurants, malls, local shops and smaller attractions.  I was less than a 10 -15 minute walk to Raffles City Shopping Center where there is a 5 story mall, Movie theatre, roof top attraction with the swing,  SKY WALK and also the river front park with amazing views.  Same distance for Hongyadong, the viewing platform, the Qiansemen Bridge- if you wanted to walk across the bridge at night- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  There is so much to see and experience between the hotel and these attractions.  Your days will be filled with fun and adventure.    If ever I have the opportunity to come back to the city, I will very excited to repeat this experience.

The room was great, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They even upgraded our room for free and extended our check-out to 4 PM because our flight was delayed. They also proactively came out from behind the front desk to help us with our luggage. On our first day, we left a note in the laundry room asking them to dry our clothes and hang them back in our room because we were rushing out to explore and worried we'd be back late. To our surprise, they actually did it! Super impressed! The hotel is very close to Guanyin Bridge, and the metro station is also conveniently located. The street food BBQ across the street tasted better than the folk bar we went to later that night. Definitely not recommended on WARM DAYS because the hotel will turn off AC completely. I stayed at this hotel from 5/8 to 5/11, In-room HVAC only worked on daytime when outdoor temperature reached about 30 degrees, in room temperature was cooling down and comfortable enough. However, the hotel shut down AC system at night because outdoor temperature is not hot enough, that leading to in room temperature went back to 27 degrees, I got totally sleepless. Understood the hotel tried to save money on electricity, but AC system is the one of basic amenity systems and should not shut down the mostly of the days. Moldy grout, moldy caulking are all around the shower, the picture attached. Non adjustable shower head with fixed holder need upgraded. That shows lack of the maintenance for rooms. Room attendant provided great service she could and made me feel comfortable and welcome. All failures are belonging the management related to budget control.

Pros: The breathtaking views of Jinyun Mountain and the Jialing River are truly exceptional from this location. The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout. Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair. Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. Finally, the complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was a nice touch, and I'd like to commend the photographer, Zixuan, for her excellent service.

The soundproofing in the room is excellent, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a broad view. The overall design is simple yet grand. The service is meticulous and thoughtful, and the gym and pool facilities are top-notch. It's a very reliable choice, whether you're on a business trip or a leisure vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Niccolo Chongqing and it was exactly the kind of comfortable and refined experience we needed during our trip through China. Our room was beautiful, extremely comfortable and had a spectacular view over Chongqing’s skyline. We particularly enjoyed being able to come back to such a peaceful and relaxing environment after exploring the city. The spa and sauna were also a great addition and made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent, with a beautiful selection of both Chinese and international dishes. A special mention goes to Chef Francesco Sanna, who took the time to introduce and explain some of the wonderful dishes available at breakfast. We also really enjoyed our conversations with him – his warmth and enthusiasm made our mornings particularly memorable. We would also like to thank Jinx, who was incredibly helpful and responsive through WeChat throughout our stay. She assisted us with several different questions and arrangements and was always available, kind and efficient. Having someone we could easily contact made everything feel effortless. Overall, what stood out was not only the quality of the hotel, but the genuinely warm and attentive service. After travelling through several cities in China, Niccolo was one of the places where we felt most comfortable and well looked after. We would happily stay here again on a future visit to Chongqing and highly recommend it.

Facilities: Overall good. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, but the floors aren't high, so it's quite convenient for getting around. The room facilities show a bit of age. Hygiene: Good hygiene, the room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was decent. Environment: The environment deserves full marks. The hotel features a red maple rock forest and an observation deck. Turn right when you exit, and you're directly at the vast grasslands. The scenery is absolutely stunning. Service: The service experience was excellent, the staff were warm and attentive. Breakfast: The breakfast variety was very rich, with many options to choose from.

People's Square Area Chongqing|0.52km from city center
The room was quite spacious, with a low table by the window and a bay window, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. It was very comfortable. The bedding was also very comfortable, with soft duvets, though I did spend quite a while trying to figure out the bedside lamp, haha. The bathroom and toilet were in separate spaces, with the sink outside, all three being independent, which was incredibly convenient and a huge plus! Many other hotels don't offer such a thoughtful layout. The reception isn't on the same floor as the guest rooms, and there's a dedicated lounge area where you can work, read, or watch shows. The room's soundproofing was good; I didn't even hear the heavy rainstorm outside last night. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and even gave us two bottles of water for our journey when we checked out, which was a very thoughtful touch. You can also store your luggage at the front desk. The hotel is situated in a tranquil area surrounded by schools, museums, and memorials, making for a beautiful environment. It's accessible from two subway stations, and there's a police car on duty right downstairs, as well as security guards, so it feels very safe. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Chongqing, especially with many historical 'red' attractions nearby, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The hotel is a bit old, so some of the room amenities are showing their age. However, my stay was quite pleasant overall. The breakfast was plentiful, and the city view from my room was fantastic. One thing to note is that the hotel's Chinese restaurant requires reservations, which I wasn't aware of upon check-in, making it inconvenient when I wanted to dine there. Also, I was surprised that they didn't even provide a complimentary bottle of mineral water in the fridge – that's a first for me. I've seen many other guests mention this in their reviews too. Marriott says they value feedback, but it seems like nothing ever changes.

The room facilities are clean and hygienic, the environment is good and not noisy. The lady at the front desk who checked in and the service staff were gentle and polite. The service was absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were very service-oriented, always greeting guests with a smile, and actively asking if we needed anything. The room was also spotlessly clean. The location is super easy to find, right next to the South Gate of Southwest University of Political Science and Law. I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I visit the university.
