Chongqing Airport (CKG) Guide for International Travelers

Chongqing Airport Guide for Every International Traveler

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG) serves Chongqing, a large city in southwest China. The region is popular for its mountain scenery, excellent restaurants, and riverside skyline. If you're visiting for the first time, knowing which terminal you need and how to reach your accommodation can make arrival much easier.

Since the airport is northeast of central Chongqing, your best mode of transport may depend on your destination, arrival time, and luggage. Travelers often find the metro to be a good option, but taxis, ride-hailing services, and pre-booked private transfers are also convenient. Private transfers or ride-hailing can take you directly to your hotel or another destination.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport: Terminals, Airlines, and Layout

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport: Terminals

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has three main terminal buildings, namely T1, T2, and T3A. It also has T3B, a satellite hall. When traveling, keep in mind that the terminal operations and airline assignments can change. Confirm your departure terminal with your airline before traveling.

Terminal

What Travelers Should Know

T1

Check its current operating status before relying on it for your flight, as terminal arrangements may change.

T2

Served by Chongqing Metro Lines 3 and 10.

T3A

Handles domestic and international flights and is connected to Metro Line 10.

T3B

A satellite terminal used for domestic flights. Gates J, K, L, and M are associated with this terminal.

T3B is connected to the T3 complex, but passengers should follow the airport's instructions for check-in, security, and boarding rather than assuming all T3 flights use the same boarding area. If your boarding pass provides gates J, K, L, or M, allow time for the transfer to T3B.

Travel Tip: Save your flight details and hotel address on your phone before leaving for the airport. For more information about the T3A and T3B terminal arrangements, consult the Chongqing Municipal Government's official guidance.

How to Get from Chongqing Airport to the City Center

Chongqing Airport to the City Center

The journey from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport to the city center depends on your destination, the time of day, and traffic conditions. The metro helps you avoid road congestion, while a taxi or private car can take you more directly to your accommodation.

What to Know

Metro

Budget-conscious travelers

Lines 3 and 10 serve T2, while Line 10 serves the T3 complex. Check whether you need to change lines.

Travelers with luggage

Use the designated airport taxi rank. Journey times and fares depend on your destination and traffic.

Travelers who prefer app-based bookings

Follow the app's pickup instructions and confirm the designated meeting point.

Private transfer

Families, groups, and travelers arriving late

Pre-booking can simplify airport pickup, particularly if you have several bags or need a direct hotel transfer.

The steep terrain that Chongqing is renowned for, along with a complex road network, can make journeys harder than they look on the map. When you choose your transport, keep in mind how many bags you might be carrying and if you’ll be staying close to the railway station.

Chongqing Airport Metro: Lines, Stations, and First and Last Trains

Chongqing Airport Metro: Lines, Stations, and First and Last Trains

Check the route to your specific destination, as you may need to change lines.

Metro fares depend on the distance traveled. Allow extra time for transfers, navigating large stations, and moving through the airport with bulky luggage.

Before you travel: Check the official Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport metro information and follow any newer announcements from Chongqing Rail Transit.

If your flight arrives after the last suitable metro service, you can still take a taxi or use a ride-hailing service. There are also options for private vehicle transfers. When arranging private transport or a taxi, confirm pickup details and estimated costs before you leave.

Chongqing Airport to City by Taxi, DiDi, and Private Transfer

Chongqing Airport by Taxi, DiDi, and Private Transfer

Road transfers are convenient if you're unfamiliar with Chongqing or staying far from a metro station. Some of your best options include an official airport taxi, a ride-hailing service like DiDi, or a pre-booked private transfer.

Airport taxis

For safety, avoid unsolicited rides from people who cannot demonstrate proper airport authorization. Follow the signs to the designated taxi pickup area and use an authorized vehicle.

Before setting off:

  • Save your hotel's full address in Chinese.
  • Confirm that you're going to the correct hotel branch.
  • Make sure the meter is being used where applicable.
  • Keep your luggage and personal belongings with you.
  • Give yourself additional time during peak traffic times.

The fare depends on your destination, traffic, and applicable charges. A taxi may be more convenient than the metro for a direct journey to your hotel, but it isn't necessarily faster during rush hour.

Using DiDi at Chongqing Airport

Using a trusted ride-hailing option can make your journey less stressful. When using services like DiDi, make sure you can access the app and use your payment method before you book. Once you’ve booked, the app has instructions to follow to get to your pickup point and communicate with your appointed driver.

As an international visitor, you should also consider how you access mobile data after landing. The airport’s Wi-Fi may help if your roaming or travel SIM isn't working, but you may need to verify your identity before you can access it.

Taking a private transfer

If you’re using a private transfer, you should give the provider your flight number and ask how they'll contact you if your arrival time changes.

Travel Tip: Before paying, confirm the total price, vehicle size, pickup terminal, waiting-time allowance, and arrangements for flight delays.

Chongqing Airport Facilities: Lounges, Wi-Fi, and Luggage Storage

Chongqing Airport Facilities: Lounges, Wi-Fi

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport offers a variety of services to help passengers stay connected, store luggage, and access lounges. It’s always best to confirm what the airport offers, since locations and operating hours can vary.

Wi-Fi and mobile connectivity

The airport offers free Wi-Fi and 5G network services, making it easy to translate signs and check your hotel directions.

If you plan to use mobile data, check whether your existing roaming plan covers your destinations. Arrange a suitable travel eSIM before departure, as not all international SIMs or eSIMs will work.

Travel Tip: Always check the provider's coverage and compatibility.

Storage fees depend on the applicable rates. Ask about current charges before leaving your bags, and keep your passport, medication, valuables, and essential travel documents with you.

Airport lounges

Lounge access depends on the lounge's admission policy. Your ticket may also influence access, as does the airline you’re using. Some lounges also charge an entry fee, which can help travelers without a membership; however, access conditions vary.

Cathay Pacific lists the CKG AA Lounge on Level 3 of Terminal 3, near gate H06. Its facilities include food, beverages, Wi-Fi, workstations, and showers. Opening hours depend on flight operations.

Important Note: You may not be able to access a lounge from your departure area, especially if your flight uses a different terminal or satellite concourse.

Other useful services

The airport lists medical services, ATMs, luggage wrapping facilities, and lost and found services. Information desks can also help with directions and passenger assistance.

For general assistance, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has a 24-hour customer service hotline at 023-966666. Save the number before traveling in case you need help with terminal directions or airport services.

I arrived to the place at 9:20am as many reviews were suggesting to be there early to witness the panda feeding. However, almost until 10am the pandas were sleeping.. perhaps its rainy days?! Well, on my way back (12pm) I could see some pandas being fed and playing around. Others were asleep..😴 Overall, I expected to see more than 4 pandas in total 😅 red pandas were cute and active though! Fell in love with those ones instead 🤭

Exceeded expectations! As a Wyndham brand, the quality is definitely reassuring. The room features a minimalist modern design and was spotlessly clean. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable with a mattress of just the right firmness—after a long day out, coming back to lie down and instantly relax was the best ~~ I have to give a special shoutout to the breakfast! The Chinese and Western buffet selection is extremely rich, complete with Chinese congee, steamed buns, and stir-fried dishes, plus freshly boiled Chongqing noodles where you can add your own toppings. The first-floor café has a very cozy vibe, making it a lovely spot to sit down and rest. The coffee I ordered looked great and tasted fantastic~~~ The location is super convenient, right across from Ziwei Road—perfect for grabbing a drink or browsing small boutiques in the evening. It's not far from Guanyinqiao and close to the subway station. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing~~~

This was a really great value for money experience. The location is super convenient; it's easy to catch a taxi to the airport or any of the attractions quickly. There are also many local and authentic snack restaurants near the hotel. The service and attitude were excellent, and the mint water in the lobby was delicious! Breakfast was also very tasty, and even buying it separately, it was still worth the price. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning felt a bit old and the airflow was a little weak, but overall, it was fantastic!

Room had a stunning night view, hotel is grand in both scale and splendour - the minute you walk in it smells wonderful and the size of the lobby is impressive. The staff are very friendly and quick to help - they will let you know all details relevant to your stay and any questions you have will be answered quickly. The rooms are clean and well furnished, we stayed in the deluxe suite which had a fantastic view, and a massive bathroom with shower, bath and washing machine. We also had a kitchen with dishwasher, stove and fridge freezer although we did not use those. The bed was a king size and very comfortable. The air conditioning was very confusing though - even with labels at door we couldn’t figure out how to make it hotter instead of colder and unfortunately the bathroom started to smell at nights and the smells seemed to be coming up the drains, closing the door helped. Othrr than that, the stay was perfect and because of the room we stayed in we got executive benefits which included breakfast, high tea, welcome snacks and access to the executive lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks.

This time, to visit Chongqing with my son, choosing the JW Marriott was absolutely the right decision. From the geographic location to the hotel environment and service, everything was top-notch. I want to especially thank all the staff at the Concierge Department. One night, I came back intoxicated, and several colleagues from the concierge department personally escorted me back to my room. This hotel's concierge service is undoubtedly the best I've ever encountered and definitely deserves recognition from the hotel management. Every day, come rain or shine, they are outside, greeting guests with a smile, making everyone feel right at home. It's truly exceptional! Additionally, the front desk and housekeeping services are also first-class. I've even written positive comments with pictures.

Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch. Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time. Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused. The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space. Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both. Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful. All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

Don't book in advance, don't book in advance, don't book in advance! The room's location and overall value for money are great, especially for those staying in Guanyinqiao and Jiefangbei during the National Day holiday – they're truly brave souls. However, there's a big problem: I booked this room much earlier for 680, but by the time National Day arrived, the price had dropped to 480. Unfortunately, it was already past the refund deadline. I've encountered similar situations before, but this one seems quite significant. I might stay here again in the future, but it's definitely best not to book in advance.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's less than a ten-minute walk to Jiefangbei and the northern station of the Yangtze River Cableway. If you don't mind walking, you can reach Hongyadong, Chaotianmen Pier, Shibati, and the walking trails within half an hour. However, you should think twice about taking a taxi to these places as traffic can be very heavy. The hotel entrance is quite small, likely due to limited space. As soon as the car arrived, the bellboy promptly helped with the luggage, which was a great touch. Check-in and check-out were both quick, and the service was warm and polite. The room layout was very well-designed; the kids loved the large sofa bed, and the windows were grand. Having two toilets and two bathrooms was very practical. The desk was the most comfortable and convenient I've encountered in a hotel recently. The bedding in the master bedroom was also very comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep. The breakfast tasted good, but the variety was a bit limited.

Got a room upgrade upon arrival. Stayed in Room 2001 this time. Location & Surroundings: The hotel is super close to Paradise Walk—less than a 5-minute walk downstairs. I’d recommend taking a taxi here, as it's a bit of a walk from the light rail station. However, this also means it's sheltered from the main shopping crowds, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the bustling area. Facilities: The facilities are better maintained than most hotels built around the same time. That said, typical of international chain hotels from that era, the TV only has digital channels; you'll need a cable to cast your own content. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, and I slept really well throughout my stay. Cleanliness: The bathroom facilities are well-kept and spotless. The water pressure for both the shower and the bathtub was fantastic. Service: Great attitude, well-organized staff, and they were always prompt and attentive to every request. Overall: If you don't rely on public transit and are looking for great shopping and dining options nearby, this hotel offers fantastic value for money compared to other hotels in its class or even Huazhu-affiliated properties in the area.

A huge shout-out to Autumn at the front desk! My stay here was fantastic. The hotel's overall atmosphere is comfortable and grand, but what touched me the most was Autumn's thoughtful and attentive service. During check-in, she was warm and patient, answering all my questions and making the whole process feel completely effortless and pleasant. I was even pleasantly surprised by some snacks she sent over—such a heartwarming touch full of attention to detail. You can truly tell she puts herself in the guests' shoes; her service is genuine, gentle, and perfectly measured. When you're traveling, this kind of caring service instantly melts away the fatigue of the journey. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my stay and highly recommend it! The hotel has an unbeatable location, right next to the Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street on one side and the Yangtze River Tunnel on the other, with plenty of amazing food options all around. The Westin offers great service, a comfortable ambiance, and nice room facilities. The breakfast has a wide variety and tastes quite good. However, the Executive Lounge afternoon tea is a bit disappointing—the cakes aren't great and there's no freshly squeezed juice. The observation deck on the 54th floor is quite small, resembling an infinity pool (swimming not allowed), and is mainly used for taking photos. Going up there at night to enjoy the view is pretty nice.

The guest relations team really made our stay exceptional, and I have to give a special shout-out to Xiao Su!!! From the initial communication before check-in to the thoughtful early room arrangement and contact on the day, everything was handled meticulously and perfectly. Her replies were lively, fun, and patient, and you could genuinely feel that she was thinking from the guest's perspective. The service was so warm, with absolutely no rigid, procedural feel to it. A big thank you to Xiao Su once again!!! I also want to thank Xiao Yi, Xiao Luo, and Xiao Min for their professional care. The entire team was on point, making our vacation experience truly complete! The hotel is located in a landmark building in Chongqing, and what impressed me most were the stunning high-altitude views, the incredibly designed crystal skybridge, and the impressive lounge. The crystal skybridge has a beautiful ambiance, with large glass curtain walls and lush greenery, creating an aerial oasis. The lounge's afternoon tea featured solid quality desserts, scones, and sandwiches. The late-night à la carte menu changes daily, and the conch dumplings and dandan noodles were particularly memorable. The lounge breakfast, a rare find in China, offers a semi-buffet paired with an à la carte menu, and the food quality was absolutely amazing. The lounge's offerings are incredibly friendly for those who can't quite handle the spiciness found outside in Chongqing! All in all, InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City is definitely a hotel I would return to! Our whole family found this trip unforgettable.

We stayed at Melia Chongqing during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The hotel is nestled in Tieshanping Forest, offering a serene environment. Opening the window reveals lush greenery and fresh air, making it perfect for a short getaway from the city during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The room was clean and tidy, and Corina Yuki provided attentive service. The facilities are comprehensive, with a water park and a mini-train available, ensuring both adults and children can find enjoyment. The biggest surprise was the immersive play, ”Misty Forest”! The theater atmosphere was fantastic, with lighting and scenery perfectly matching the forest theme, creating a strong sense of immersion. The actors were lively and dedicated, and the plot was full of fantasy. It wasn't just a simple children's play; adults could also get lost in it. There were interactive segments during the performance, and my child watched intently, fully engrossed throughout, and was still talking about it afterward. As hotel guests, we could watch for free, and it was truly thoughtful to arrange such a performance for the Mid-Autumn Festival. During the day, we strolled around the hotel and enjoyed the lake views. In the evening, after watching the play, we experienced the tranquility of the forest under the moon. Overall, the experience was excellent – a top choice for a Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. We will definitely come again!

When planning this trip to Chongqing, I agonized over choosing a hotel for ages, constantly torn between Regent, TFT, and Niccolo. Regent has always had a great reputation for service, and TFT was quite appealing too, but in the end, I decided I preferred the views at Niccolo, so I booked it. It turned out to be the right choice—I was quite satisfied with the overall experience. Actually, having stayed at several Niccolo hotels before, my relationship with the brand is a bit of a love-hate one. The Suzhou Niccolo, in particular, was quite a disappointment. The service was fine—the staff were all very nice—but the interior design and materials used really didn't live up to the price tag. The guest room corridors, especially, gave me the impression of a budget hotel; the lighting and overall ambiance were quite oppressive, completely lacking the texture and feel you'd expect from a luxury hotel. The breakfast was also just so-so, leaving no memorable impression. However, Niccolo Chongqing is a massive step up from Suzhou. First of all, the views are genuinely fantastic. Chongqing's urban landscape is so unique with its skyscrapers, river views, and multi-layered architecture, which looks stunning from up high. A huge part of why I choose high-rise hotels like this is just to take in the scenery from the room, especially at night. Sitting back and watching the city lights outside is just so relaxing. So in terms of the view, it certainly didn't disappoint. The service was solid overall; the staff were courteous and pleasant to communicate with. Of course, it wasn't completely flawless—there was a small hiccup during the stay, but the hotel handled it quite professionally, and I was fine with it. The more you stay at hotels, the more you realize that hiccups can happen anywhere. I'm not overly fussed about that; what I care more about is how the hotel handles issues when they arise. At least this time, Niccolo Chongqing gave me a good impression without any brush-offs or perfunctory attitudes. The breakfast was also better than expected. Niccolo Chongqing offers a semi-buffet. The space isn't huge, and when I first walked in, I thought it looked a bit cramped and worried there wouldn't be much to eat. But I ended up being quite pleased. The selection was richer than I imagined, the food quality was good, and the Eggs Benedict were spot-on in both taste and quality. The freshly squeezed juices were also delicious. Personally, I've always felt that hotel breakfast doesn't need to blindly chase variety. Many hotels have massive breakfast areas piled high with food, but very few items actually taste good. Even though Niccolo Chongqing's space is small, it has all the essentials, and they're well-executed. I really liked that. One more thing: after staying at so many Niccolos, I'm increasingly convinced that with this brand, you really need to book a suite. I've stayed in standard rooms and N3 rooms before, and honestly, the difference in experience is quite noticeable. Standard rooms aren't bad, but considering the price and the brand's positioning, they always feel like they're missing that certain something. Suites, on the other hand, instantly elevate the comfort level and give you that proper luxury hotel experience. So my verdict on Niccolo is pretty simple: the service is mostly good, but the hardware really depends heavily on the specific property and room type. The Chongqing branch is one of the better ones I've stayed at; at least this time, the views, the breakfast, and the overall service left me thoroughly satisfied. If I visit Chongqing again in the future, I'll likely consider Niccolo again, but I'll almost certainly go for a suite. Seriously, having tried the standard rooms, N3, and the suites, I can only say that suites are definitely the way to experience Niccolo properly.

This hotel is located right across from Bayi Square and is also close to the subway. Stepping out, you're on Bayi Road Food Street, where you can find all sorts of local specialty snacks. The staff were very warm and attentive. When we arrived, they immediately offered us refreshing lemon and plum juice from the hotel's self-service, which was incredibly crisp and tasty. Housekeeping was prompt; they even helped us with laundry while we were out exploring. Food delivery riders can bring orders directly to your room. Honestly, if it's not too hot, a short walk will get you to a ton of great food options. You can easily walk to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong from here, and to get to Liziba, you can take Line 2. The hotel is in a great location, close to everything! Chopsticks Building, Hongyadong, Arhat Temple, Jiefangbei, and Park 108 are all within walking distance, with some attractions right across from the hotel. The room is clean and nice, and the staff are really friendly, especially Staff No. 3. Although there was a language barrier, communication was not a problem at all. The staff always tried their best to help us and used translation tools to communicate with us, which we really appreciated. They even upgraded our room free of charge because they wanted us to enjoy a great city view, which was so thoughtful! The breakfast is good, especially the soy milk. The orange cat is also super cute, hahaha! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel service was excellent throughout, but due to the rain in Chongqing, the room felt quite damp. When I reported this, the duty manager Jackie immediately arranged a new room for me. They even had a colleague help dry out the entire new room, which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you!

This hotel was a great choice for bringing my child to Chongqing to see their idol! I specifically picked this one right next to Yangtze International, and the location was incredibly convenient. It was just a few steps downstairs to Yangtze International, so my child could go there every day, take photos in front of the building, and was absolutely thrilled. The room was clean and spacious, very quiet and comfortable, and we slept wonderfully at night. There were plenty of dining options and amenities nearby, with convenience stores and snack stalls right downstairs. Transportation was also easy. This trip was mainly about fulfilling my child's dream, and staying here made hitting all the spots super easy. The child had a blast, and it was stress-free for the adults. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chongqing! 👍

This hotel is all around great... great location, staff, cleanliness, and service. Some tips to new visitors: the hotel lobby is on the 15th floor. 1st floor will bring out to the ground level floor across from the park and easy entrance to the shopping plaza. Only a few minute walk through the park and you can see the giant chili pepper statue. Also nearby is a huge 6 floor shopping mall with 2 full floors of restaurants. The LG floor will put you out to the street level on the other side of the hotel. Many small places to eat and 24 hour convenience stores easily accessible. For those of you who like ice for their drinks, you can get ice in the lobby. The buffet breakfast is well worth the extra. Many items to choose from and the menu changes daily 6:30 am to 9:30 am. Laundry washing and drying machines are available and you can get complimentary washing detergent at the lobby desk. I can't say anything negative about this hotel at all. Top notch all around!

At Regent Chongqing, I truly understood the meaning of understated and warm luxury. The Neo-Chinese design blends seamlessly with the culture of the mountain city, creating an elegant and tranquil space. A glance out the window reveals the confluence of the two rivers, and as night falls, the dazzling lights of Hongya Cave stretch across the river surface, offering a panoramic view of the city's brilliant nightscape. What touched me most wasn't just the stunning river view, but the impeccable service—enthusiastic yet never intrusive, thoughtful down to the smallest detail, and uniquely warm without feeling cliché. The space is filled with the lingering fragrance of Frédéric Malle, framed by the breathtaking mountain city view waiting right outside the bathtub. The mini-bar is replenished daily with local specialty snacks and drinks, and daily laundry service comes with a thoughtful greeting. Because of all this, I think I’ve fallen in love with Chongqing, and I've fallen in love with the Regent! Unfortunately, during my two-night stay, the Two Rivers Bar was fully booked for private events both nights. After much consideration, I decided to stay an extra night just to enjoy the evening river breeze at the Two Rivers Bar, accompanied by classic jazz, washing away the fatigue of the entire day. Thanks to the Regent, this trip to the mountain city holds an extra layer of unforgettable, gentle memories.

Xiao Yang's service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. During check-in, he meticulously explained all the scenic spots within the park and even reminded us about the significant temperature difference between day and night on the mountain. The hotel is located right inside Fairy Mountain Forest Park, and your room card grants direct access to the vast grassland. The Red Maple Stone Forest boasts a fascinating array of oddly shaped rocks, while the Zhuoya Lawn is 넓고 and inviting. The shuttle bus is available on demand, and strolling along the forest trails allows for an immersive experience of the refreshing tranquility of the mountains and wilderness.

Slept incredibly well, almost overslept and missed my check-out time! They kindly extended my stay by an hour for free 😜. The environment is also very good, with laundry and drying facilities. The service is incredibly thoughtful; they even gave me a free one-day tour since I stayed for three days. Staying here is super value for money!

Special thanks to Lana! Due to our own carelessness, my family accidentally took the rental car keys with us to another city. Having no friends in Chongqing, we had to impose on Lana for help. Without any hesitation, she patiently helped us coordinate a designated driver and SF Express delivery, handling everything smoothly. As for the hotel, we were completely satisfied—it offers incredible value for money. The cleanliness was top-notch, the views were great, the breakfast had a rich variety, and the service was beyond reproach. We originally planned to stay for two nights, but ended up extending our stay for another two nights.

This National Day, I invited friends to stay at Steigenberger Chongqing. I had booked a package deal on Ctrip that included meals, park access, and accommodation. I was mentally prepared for a drop in service due to the crowds, but the entire experience was fantastic, so I had to write a long review to praise it! I especially want to commend Manager Xiaolan by name. I had stayed here recently and added her on WeChat. As soon as I confirmed my itinerary this time, she proactively sent me reminders about traveling during the National Day holiday, reserved a table for me at the restaurant in advance, and thoughtfully double-checked the room's cleanliness and children's toiletries. During our stay, she was always responsive and quick to answer any questions, big or small. She was enthusiastic and professional, truly solving problems from the guest's perspective. Even more commendable was the entire hotel team's performance. Despite the massive crowds during the National Day holiday, the security at the entrance maintained order perfectly. Even late at night, we could still see security staff directing traffic and guiding vehicles. Public areas were constantly being tidied by the cleaning staff, keeping the environment spotless. The restaurant's speed in refilling dishes was a pleasant surprise; we never saw empty platters waiting for a long time. My friends all praised the consistent quality of the food, noting that it wasn't perfunctory despite the large number of guests. It's evident that all departments coordinated seamlessly, and operations remained orderly even during peak times. I've stayed in many top luxury hotels in China, and most offer polite and thorough service, but often it feels like a formality. However, Steigenberger Chongqing truly incorporates service into every detail and genuinely cares, which is rare. There are no unnecessary formalities; they genuinely anticipate and fulfill guests' needs in advance. Every time I come here, I feel it's excellent value for money. I sincerely recommend it to everyone, and I hope the hotel recognizes the dedication of Manager Xiaolan and all the staff. Such excellent service deserves to be seen by more people!

Definitely not recommended on WARM DAYS because the hotel will turn off AC completely. I stayed at this hotel from 5/8 to 5/11, In-room HVAC only worked on daytime when outdoor temperature reached about 30 degrees, in room temperature was cooling down and comfortable enough. However, the hotel shut down AC system at night because outdoor temperature is not hot enough, that leading to in room temperature went back to 27 degrees, I got totally sleepless. Understood the hotel tried to save money on electricity, but AC system is the one of basic amenity systems and should not shut down the mostly of the days. Moldy grout, moldy caulking are all around the shower, the picture attached. Non adjustable shower head with fixed holder need upgraded. That shows lack of the maintenance for rooms. Room attendant provided great service she could and made me feel comfortable and welcome. All failures are belonging the management related to budget control.

This hotel is an absolute steal for the price, and it's so much better than staying around Jiefangbei. The room is spacious, spotless, and offers unbeatable value for money compared to similarly priced hotels in the Jiefangbei area. The hotel environment is also lovely. Set away from the downtown bustle, it is quiet and free from the noise of traffic and crowds. There is also a large parking lot, making parking extremely convenient. The service was top-notch—the receptionist was warm, greeted us proactively, and had a sweet smile that felt like first love!

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property.  Everyone was so nice and kind.  The service was top- notch.  The amenities were plenty and easy accessible.   A few extras that made everything worth it were the full- sized refrigerator, with freezer, the washing machine (for which they provided soap as well), dish washer, stove top, towel drier ( in the washroom) and full sized closet.  The view was so beautiful and calming as well.   Everything about this room was just so nice and exactly what I needed.     I didn’t realize how perfect the location was in relation to almost everything that I wanted to see.   When I figured that out, I just got up every day and walked to everything that I needed or wanted to see.   It was extremely close to a lot of restaurants, malls, local shops and smaller attractions.  I was less than a 10 -15 minute walk to Raffles City Shopping Center where there is a 5 story mall, Movie theatre, roof top attraction with the swing,  SKY WALK and also the river front park with amazing views.  Same distance for Hongyadong, the viewing platform, the Qiansemen Bridge- if you wanted to walk across the bridge at night- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  There is so much to see and experience between the hotel and these attractions.  Your days will be filled with fun and adventure.    If ever I have the opportunity to come back to the city, I will very excited to repeat this experience.

This hotel is really great and offers excellent value for money! The lobby is grand, the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are large, and it's quiet for sleeping. The service is attentive, and the location is very convenient. It's much better than staying in Jiefangbei, being close to Guanyinqiao with many restaurants nearby. Taking a taxi to attractions like Jiefangbei and Eling No. 2 Factory only costs about ten yuan. The highlight was that the hotel proactively prepared a birthday cake for my child and delivered it to our room 🎂. This was a wonderful surprise; my child was thrilled, and the cake was delicious!

Great value for money! The hotel lobby is stylish, and the rooms are chic and clean. The city-view room is perfect for taking photos. My child loved it. It's also super convenient for getting around; you can walk to attractions right from the hotel, and it's located right at Jiefangbei. The staff were all friendly and enthusiastic. My charger broke, and they lent me one for the night. When I checked out, they even gave us a painted fan and some snack souvenirs. My child loved it so much they insisted I leave a good review! If you want to have a fun trip, this hotel is definitely the best choice.

Staying here was so convenient! It's just a short walk from Yuzhong District to Jiefangbei, and Bayi Delicious Street is just around the corner. The subway station is right downstairs, making your commute to Jiangbei or Nan'an a breeze. The room soundproofing was great, and it was kept very clean.
