Guest UserI recently stayed at this hotel in Nanchang, and the location is fantastic – right across from the subway station. The room was well-cleaned and even came with disposable toilet seat covers and disinfectant wipes, which was a nice touch. The in-room smart assistant was also super convenient to use. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge or particularly lavish, the Nanchang-style mixed noodles were absolutely delicious and just as good as what you'd find outside. I also appreciated that you need to use your room card to access the elevators, which made me feel very secure. Definitely recommend it; I'd choose to stay here again on my next trip to Nanchang!

RollingstoneHampton by Hilton Nanchang Stay Review
Overview:
I recently stayed at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang and found it to be a pleasant and comfortable experience, offering great value for both business and leisure travelers. Located conveniently in the Honggutan District, the hotel is well-positioned for access to local attractions, shopping centers, and the business hub of the city.
The Good:
1. Comfortable Rooms:
The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained, with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the room featured an ergonomic work desk, which was great for getting some work done. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like USB ports and plenty of outlets.
2. Facilities & Amenities:
The hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center, which I made use of during my stay. It’s not a full gym, but it has enough equipment for a quick workout. The business center and meeting rooms also looked professional and seemed perfect for business guests. Complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout my stay.
3. Breakfast:
The complimentary breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes. From fresh fruit and pastries to local delicacies like dumplings, there was something for every taste. The breakfast area was clean, and the staff was attentive to refilling items and clearing tables.
4. Service:
The staff at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang were friendly and helpful. Though not everyone was fluent in English, they made a genuine effort to assist with all requests. I felt welcomed throughout my stay, and check-in/check-out was a breeze.
5. Location:
The hotel’s location in Honggutan District made it convenient for accessing both the business district and local attractions like Tengwang Pavilion and Nanchang’s Star of Ferris Wheel. Taxis and public transportation were easy to access from the hotel, making it convenient to explore the city.
The Drawbacks:
1. Room Size:
While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they weren’t particularly spacious, especially if you’re staying for a longer period or with family. It was fine for a solo traveler or a couple, but families might feel a bit cramped.
2. Limited Dining Options:
While the breakfast was great, the hotel’s on-site dining options beyond breakfast were somewhat limited. There is a small restaurant, but for more varied meal options, you’ll need to explore nearby restaurants or order delivery.
3. Noise:
Depending on your room’s location, you might hear some street noise, especially during busy times. It wasn’t overwhelming but could be noticeable for light sleepers.

I ended up in Nanchang by chance, and when I asked DeepSeek, it recommended the Shangri-La as the best hotel in the city. However, Xiaohongshu reviews often mentioned that the service at Shangri-La wasn't particularly warm, so I booked it with some skepticism, thinking I wasn't really a fan of overly enthusiastic service anyway. Turns out, DeepSeek was right – the entire experience at Shangri-La was excellent, and the service was genuinely warm.
Since I was a single mom with two kids – a teenage boy and an elementary schooler – the lovely and gentle young lady at the front desk directly arranged for us the best river-view room. She thoughtfully noted that the adult breakfast for two and executive lounge access should be adjusted for three people, and even added me on WeChat to better assist us with our specific situation. Everyone at the hotel, from top to bottom, was so kind to the children. To my surprise, both boys told me they had become friends with the staff on different floors. This was truly unexpected, and I'd give the family-friendly experience five stars.
The river view was superb. You could see Tengwang Pavilion from both the room and the executive lounge, and the musical fountain at Qiushui Square could be easily enjoyed from the room.
The service and cleanliness details were also excellent. I've stayed in many five-star hotels, both new and old, and I always feel that while Shangri-La rooms tend to look similar, their attention to detail and professionalism are consistently outstanding. There are so many subtle yet incredibly thoughtful little touches that are hard to describe but all contribute to respecting the customer's experience. This truly comes from years of accumulated quality and time, and I genuinely applaud it.
Although the breakfast taste could still improve, the variety was rich, and the quality was high. The light meals at the Horizon Club were anything but simple and very generous every day. The red wine was also quite good.
Of course, there were a few minor regrets that I hope they continue to improve: the shampoo wasn't great, the showerhead was a bit small, and due to the windows not opening in the high-floor room, there was always a persistent stuffy smell (perhaps Northerners just can't stand the humidity of the South). Nevertheless, I'm very grateful to the service center for continuously helping us find a scent-free room because of this issue – it was a bother for them, but much appreciated.

TANG*1970We made a last-minute decision to switch hotels (the AC at our previous hotel wasn't working, and my little one was drenched in sweat). Unfortunately, the Shangri-La was fully booked, but we managed to find a family room at the Hilton, so we quickly made a reservation.
Soon after booking, Ms. Diana from the Sheraton called my husband to confirm the reservation and asked if we had any special requests. Honestly, that gesture warmed my heart.
The next day, after checking out, we headed straight to the Sheraton. The front desk staff saw Diana's note in the system and offered a complimentary breakfast for my little one, which was very thoughtful! Ms. Diana also came over to greet us; it felt like meeting a kind relative.
I really liked the decor style of this Sheraton. It's understated yet luxurious, calm yet grand, and you can tell the designer put a lot of thought into it. In the evening, the sunlight streaming into the elevator lobby created a romantic, painterly atmosphere.
Our family room had an excellent view, directly facing Tengwang Pavilion. We enjoyed watching the colors of the pavilion change against the night sky across the river, which was incredibly pleasant. The bathroom design in the room was also very clever; the shower and toilet each had their own enclosed space, providing privacy. The fixtures were all Duravit, a top-tier brand. Both the sink and shower had fast water flow and good pressure, and I was especially pleased that there was no water overflowing onto the floor after showering. Excellent! Oh, and the pure white duvet cover had elegant white patterns that were truly beautiful! The two down pillows had different heights, so there was one suitable for everyone.
The executive lounge at the hotel offered a good variety of food, and the taste was quite good. Breakfast was only available on the first floor, as the lounge wasn't open. There was still a decent selection of breakfast items; the ceramic pot soup was delicious, and the mixed noodles were also good, though the coffee beans were a bit acidic.
Upon checkout, we ran into Ms. Diana again, and she asked about our stay. Honestly, we've stayed at quite a few high-star hotels, but this was the first time we encountered someone as dedicated and genuinely caring about guests as Diana. We must extend our sincere thanks to her 🌹.
Overall, the Sheraton Nanchang is definitely worth my time to write this recommendation!

Choosing the Jiangjing Holiday Hotel on the west bank of Ganjiang River for our trip during the National Day holiday was definitely the right decision. We're a family of three, and the receptionist, a handsome boy, upgraded us to a river-view suite, which gave us a fantastic view of the stunning Tengwang Pavilion across the river. The hotel's parking was convenient, and it was super easy to take the metro to the attractions on the other side. Breakfast was plentiful, although the omelet made by the chef didn’t look too great. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I chose the Nanchang Honggutan City Hotel for our stay, and the experience truly exceeded our expectations! The hotel just opened in 2024, so all the facilities are brand new. The lobby has a modern and grand design, creating a wonderful ambiance.
The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable and soft, making for an excellent night's sleep. What really surprised us were the thoughtful details: dual sinks, Appelles toiletries, a Laifen hairdryer, a feature-rich toilet, and complimentary mini-bar drinks – it all felt very high-quality. The front desk staff were warm and professional, even upgrading our room for free and including breakfast, which was a lovely touch.
The breakfast restaurant offered expansive views, and the food selection was plentiful and kept perfectly warm. The Nanchang specialties like the 'Waguantang' (earthen jar soup) and mixed noodles were authentic and left a lasting impression.
Overall, this hotel is impeccable in terms of both its facilities and service details. It offers exceptional value for money, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nanchang for tourism or business – it's definitely worth staying at!

Guest UserThis time I came to Nanchang to stay in the experience exceeded expectations. Mr. Zhuo and Ms. Jiang were very intimate and took the initiative to mark the best time for viewing and walking routes. The floor-to-ceiling windows of Linjiang gym face the Lijiang River. When running, the river view is not boring at all, and the equipment is also very clean. Going out from the courtyard to the big lawn on the riverside, it is particularly comfortable to walk in the river breeze in the evening. Walk for ten minutes to the Ferris wheel, there are local restaurants and seafood shops around, and I am very satisfied with eating and living.

The front desk service was excellent, especially LL. The hotel's location is great, with a subway station nearby, making transportation very convenient. There's also free parking with plenty of spaces and even charging stations. The front desk proactively upgraded our room. The environment is quite nice, and being on a high floor, it's quiet and comfortable.

Uncle Junior OfficialHotel was located quite far from the downtown. There was no deposit needed after booking & prepaying online. We got two rooms & both were very neat. It’s a new hotel actually and i was informed they begun service in August 2023 so everything in the room looked clean & new.
Great service from the reception but the only downside was that they kept calling every moment to remind us to checkout before 12pm. It was very disturbing cuz i knew that information already. I spoke to the reception that I’ll be checking out at 6pm and i was given half night bill. By 5pm, they sent someone to my door to receive payment as if i was going to runaway!! This wasn’t pretty at all.
Anyway, Facilities… they had a pressing iron & an ironing board for pressing clothes. I totally loved that.
Food… i didn’t try their food so no review on that.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location and the best thing is the staff is so nice... the girl at the reception when I first came (I can't remember her name)... they were all so friendly and welcoming. I felt like It's like being at home. They always smile and always ask me if I need anything. I originally planned to stay here for one night but due to their hospitality I extended my stay for another day. Even the people cleaning the room were very polite and Friendly... The room is large and air-conditioned. The location is also very good. There are tour routes in the lobby.
