WWeiweian77The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Wanshou Palace Historical and Cultural District, and it's about a 700-meter walk to Tengwang Pavilion. Its architectural style really stands out on the street, giving it a unique, almost isolated feel. The retro cruise ship theme design is very stylish. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom and shower are separate. The service was also fantastic; all the staff were very enthusiastic. They even gave us a souvenir gift when we checked in and checked out. It was a superb stay overall.

Overview:
I recently stayed at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang and found it to be a pleasant and comfortable experience, offering great value for both business and leisure travelers. Located conveniently in the Honggutan District, the hotel is well-positioned for access to local attractions, shopping centers, and the business hub of the city.
The Good:
1. Comfortable Rooms:
The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained, with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the room featured an ergonomic work desk, which was great for getting some work done. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like USB ports and plenty of outlets.
2. Facilities & Amenities:
The hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center, which I made use of during my stay. It’s not a full gym, but it has enough equipment for a quick workout. The business center and meeting rooms also looked professional and seemed perfect for business guests. Complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout my stay.
3. Breakfast:
The complimentary breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes. From fresh fruit and pastries to local delicacies like dumplings, there was something for every taste. The breakfast area was clean, and the staff was attentive to refilling items and clearing tables.
4. Service:
The staff at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang were friendly and helpful. Though not everyone was fluent in English, they made a genuine effort to assist with all requests. I felt welcomed throughout my stay, and check-in/check-out was a breeze.
5. Location:
The hotel’s location in Honggutan District made it convenient for accessing both the business district and local attractions like Tengwang Pavilion and Nanchang’s Star of Ferris Wheel. Taxis and public transportation were easy to access from the hotel, making it convenient to explore the city.
The Drawbacks:
1. Room Size:
While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they weren’t particularly spacious, especially if you’re staying for a longer period or with family. It was fine for a solo traveler or a couple, but families might feel a bit cramped.
2. Limited Dining Options:
While the breakfast was great, the hotel’s on-site dining options beyond breakfast were somewhat limited. There is a small restaurant, but for more varied meal options, you’ll need to explore nearby restaurants or order delivery.
3. Noise:
Depending on your room’s location, you might hear some street noise, especially during busy times. It wasn’t overwhelming but could be noticeable for light sleepers.

As someone catching an early flight, I chose a hotel close to the airport. When I arrived, I found that the hotel was incredibly new, impeccably clean and tidy both inside and out. The bedding and bathroom facilities in the room were refreshingly comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. Plus, there were plenty of takeout options nearby, which was super convenient when I didn't feel like going out to eat. The room even had small snacks, which was a thoughtful touch.
The service, however, deserves the most praise! The staff were enthusiastic throughout my stay, and the butler was incredibly attentive, proactively helping me book airport transfers. Especially Driver Fang, who took me to the airport – he was absolutely wonderful! My flight was early in the morning, and not only was he punctual, but he was also very polite during the ride, helping me with my luggage without any fuss. This stay was a perfect experience; I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location. You can step right out onto Jewelry Street from the back alley, and it's a short stroll to Wanshou Palace for some local food and sightseeing. Tengwang Pavilion scenic area is just another 10-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient. The underground parking is ample, and they even offer authentic local mixed noodles in the evening, which is a lovely touch.

MM49403****I chose this hotel mainly because of its excellent location. The lobby has a special feel to it, and the fragrance is lovely! The receptionist, Xiao Li, was also very professional and welcoming! I was quite satisfied with the room arrangements; each room has large floor-to-ceiling windows with a wide view.

GGuest UserEven though the decor is a bit 'old money' style, the amenities are still great. The carpets and bathrooms are very clean. The front desk lady even upgraded our room for free, and we got a direct view of Tengwang Pavilion – amazing! I came to Nanchang for Chen Li's concert, so if you're here for a concert, this place is a no-brainer. Metro Line 2 is right at the entrance, and it's also very convenient to get to Nanchang West Station, as Line 2 goes straight there. You can also take a stroll by the river in the evening and enjoy the breeze. Definitely worth it!

EExpatNanchang is a great city to meet up if you have friends from other locations in China. I was able to meet with friends between Shanghai and ShenZhen. There are different train stations. Everyone can arrive at, and this location is in the center of a few attractions. You can view the fountain from the rooftop and have dinner, or you can take a walk down to the museum, Navy ship, or fountain.  the breakfast is delicious and convenient. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked a two rooms for the purpose of family, and the housekeeping staff did a great job of maintaining the room for a couple of days. Thank you for the free gift and the welcome fruit was really appreciated.
