This guesthouse is located right inside the scenic area, making it super convenient for resting after an evening stroll. The decor is charmingly traditional, perfectly complementing the Huizhou architectural style. The guesthouse itself feels like an integral part of the scenic area, featuring a garden restaurant and a coffee bar where you can even pet cats. The owner is fantastic, offering luggage pickup and drop-off services right from the bus station. It's a highly recommended place to stay.

I am filling this review out as the person who booked and paid for the room on behalf of my guest / driver, who stayed here for eight days. The room was conveniently located on the ground floor, and despite being adjacent to the main lobby, it was reasonably quiet. A set menu breakfast with nine small dishes was provided every morning in the restaurant, and was very healthy and beautifully presented. Cleaning was done every morning by aunties who knocked around 10a.m. to check if cleaning was requested. Parking onsite for free and EV charging was also available very conveniently next to the hotel. Although the hotel room was non-smoking, the driver smoked both inside the room and in the public lobby, but was not ticked off or asked to smoke outside (!). Staff were very courteous and friendly, always helping with any issue and happy to answer any questions. On departing, both the driver and myself received local biscuits as a gift. Really wonderful place to stay with an extremely well trained, polite family of hospitality experts.

The service is really attentive ❤️. Before staying at the hotel, the housekeeper will come in advance and add WeChat to set up a WeChat service group, inform the location, and come to greet you. When delivering, he also gave you a souvenir handmade in the store. The children and elders all enjoyed their stay. We could see the starry sky in our room at night. The children were very surprised and kept asking if they could continue to stay here tomorrow? ! The room is consistent with the picture of the reservation. The special mountain spring water and welcome dinner in the store are very considerate. The breakfast is also 10 kinds of which are very balanced and rich. The welcome dog Wangzai is very cute. He greets and sees off guests, and the overall impression is wonderful. Very good impression. I will stay here again next time I come to Hongcun.

Wonderful and quiet inn at the heart of ancient Xidi village. The owner was incredibly helpful and charming and made sure I was well looked after. The room was excellent. They only offer disposable towels. So I suggest you bring your own towel. Xidi village itself is fantastic. Full of art students during the day but peaceful at night. It is a maze of narrow streets. A very friendly and welcoming place. The local post office is full of lovely manga postcards left by the art students.

This guesthouse truly exceeded my expectations! The artistic vibe throughout is really strong. The owner mentioned there are quite a few famous paintings hanging around, and even though I can't quite tell what they are, the decor itself feels very tasteful and stylish. The Chinese-style courtyard is beautifully maintained, and I was lucky enough to visit when the lotus flowers were in full bloom – the pond was absolutely stunning with them! The guesthouse also has a cafe, and sitting in the courtyard, sipping coffee and admiring the lotuses, created such an amazing atmosphere. Every corner of the courtyard is quite exquisite; it's easy to take great photos anywhere without needing to find specific angles. I could happily spend an entire afternoon there without getting bored. The experience was fantastic!

Environment: The environment is great. There's a lawn and rice paddies right outside the door, along with a winding path that drew me here. Surrounded by mountains, the air is fresh, and the weather has been cool and not too sunny these past few days. It's a bit of a shame that the lush green rice paddies I wanted to see were already harvested. Service: The service was excellent from the receptionists to the restaurant staff. They were very attentive in guiding us to parking, helping with our luggage, inquiring about dining options, providing room information, and even arranging tea and snacks. Facilities: We were upgraded to a first-floor room with a courtyard. Overall, the room felt a bit small, lacking a place to put our belongings. The white decor was comfortable and pleasing to the eye.

Overall, it was decent, but there were quite a few flaws. Firstly, everyone said the butler would add WeChat in advance, but that didn't happen. The showerhead in the second bedroom was broken, and the window in the master bedroom's shower room couldn't close properly. The turndown service was really just a formality; they rushed in to do it as soon as it was light, haha. And the goodnight soup was only provided one night. The iron flower show and fish lanterns were great, but the 90-minute spa was relatively average.

I stayed in Hongcun for two nights, and this hostel was the most gentle haven amidst the misty rain. The plum rain season washed every leaf until it glistened, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of earth and grass. I stayed in a wooden cabin, and the rain pattered on the eaves all night, a simple white noise from nature. Falling asleep to the sound of rain felt like returning to childhood, a long-lost tranquility. In the evening, the owner played and sang folk songs for us on the ukulele, their melodies blending into the sound of the rain. Outside, a fine drizzle wove through the air; inside, the lights were dim and warm. I held a cup of hot milk tea in my hands (it was made with real milk, rich and sweet, not a perfunctory powder mix – truly delicious 😋). A small cat sat under the eaves listening to the rain, while I worked on crafts, the rustle of needle and thread accompanying the lingering music. Rain, hot milk tea, folk songs, a little cat, and handmade crafts – these beautiful words layered together unexpectedly created a nearly luxurious stretch of time. Even luckier, I met several pure-hearted girls here. The plum rain didn't trap us; instead, it brought us together. We chatted, shared stories, and exchanged smiles. Though we were strangers meeting by chance, we shared a brief and wonderful time. Scenery tends to fade, and photos will yellow, but those moments filled with warmth will not disappear. They settle deep in our memories, resurfacing suddenly on a weary evening in the future, reminding you: this world is worth repeatedly venturing into. Travel isn't about escaping life, but about making life broader. To encounter mountains, rivers, and seas; to meet gentle people; to meet the light and authentic self hidden by daily routines. Resting by the water, listening to the misty rain, Dreaming of Huizhou.

Location: The location is at the west gate of the scenic spot. It takes three minutes to walk to the scenic spot. There is a supermarket at the door, as well as a burger shop and a noodle shop. Service: We came from Huangshan Scenic Area, so we called the boss in advance. The boss helped me arrange a carpool, thirty-one people, and the car was delivered to the Ximen parking lot. After arriving, the boss arranged for a boy to ride a sightseeing car to pick us up. Let's go When the time came, the little brother also sent us to the carpooling point, and the service was perfect. Decoration: Very charming, with a tea room, the room is very good, fully intelligent, the bedding is good, and the mattress is from Jin Koer. Overall: Warm service, highly recommended

The weather during the transition from spring to summer is unpredictable, fluctuating between hot and cold, rain and sunshine. Nestled beside the waterways of Hongcun, with its white walls and black tiles, stone paths, flowing water, and lush greenery, it's like stepping into a painting. The courtyard is tranquil and elegant, perfect for enjoying tea, daydreaming, or chatting, savoring the slow pace of life. The rooms are warm and comfortable, with large windows bringing the scenery indoors; lying in bed watching the clouds drift by is incredibly therapeutic. The service is genuine and unpretentious; the owner is warm and talkative, sharing stories of Hongcun and recommending off-the-beaten-path photo spots and authentic local cuisine. In the morning, you can capture the reflection of the ancient village when no one is around; in the evening, watch the sunset cast its glow on the horse-head walls from the terrace; and at night, gaze at the dazzling starry sky. Here, mountains and water, ancient villages, courtyards, streams, starry skies, and sweet dreams—everything you could want is here.
