We stayed at Rakuten STAY Nikko Botoan and were very satisfied. It's a spacious apartment with a separate bedroom, comfortable beds, and a large living room. The kitchen is excellent, and we cooked there every day. The main highlight is having a private onsen right in the room. Check-in was code-based, and everything was clean and well-thought-out. It's a 12-minute walk to the station. Highly recommended!

This motel provides a fantastic, home-like, and comfortable experience with excellent in-room amenities like a washing machine, artificial hot spring bath, rice cooker, and induction cooker. The location is convenient with nearby 7-11 access, making it worth the stay. However, the check-in process is inefficient due to tablet-only registration for all guests, a challenging remote operator, and a lack of elevators.

This is a great, affordable choice for travellers looking for a ”home away from home” experience in Japan. If the management improves the digital check-in procedure and provides better on-site support, this would be a perfect stay.

Overall, it's very good.
However, I couldn't watch Netflix on the projector. I contacted customer support, but they couldn't resolve the issue and told me to contact Netflix. I contacted Netflix and tried various operations repeatedly, but it didn't work. Is a different model or version upgrade necessary? Or has Netflix support ended? I think some kind of solution is needed.

This stay exceeded my expectations! The room was clean and tidy, and all the facilities were complete. The instructions for the unmanned self-service hotel were simple and clear, and customer service responded to questions very quickly. Our group of nine was originally allocated only one parking space, but the hotel kindly assisted us by adding an extra space. Since there was a lot of trash due to the large number of guests, we contacted the hotel and they arranged for someone to clean it up. Cooking utensils and cleaning supplies were plentiful. I will definitely return to this hotel next time I travel to Nikko!

The best out of the best htl we were at Kyoto. Everything was so good including the front desk. We would like to extend our stay unfortunately rooms were all sold out . Room are quite spacious if compare the rest of the Kyoto hotels. Love to come back here again .

My friends and I stayed here during our stay in Kyoto. It was a distance away from the city, but the station was just 10 mins away walking distance as well as 5 mins away by bus. It was clean, quiet, and served all the necessities we needed. It was a great place to come and relax after a long day of exploring.

Self check-in was smooth, which was great. The road at night was very dark, so thankfully we drove. If you're coming by public transport, I'd suggest checking in earlier while it's still light. The room was huge, with a kitchen, living room, sauna, and hot spring room. There's nowhere to eat nearby, so we bought groceries from a supermarket beforehand and had a hot pot in the hotel, which provided all the necessary kitchenware. The view wasn't anything special. The wooden tub in the private hot spring looked damp and moldy, which was quite off-putting. However, since we paid a premium for this private hot spring, we still used it, but I probably won't come back next time. It felt like the hot spring tub was never cleaned.

Check-in was easy, and I received an email a few days prior with instructions. The room was generally clean and tidy. The view right outside the hotel was stunning. It was so chill to walk to a coffee shop in the morning. The only downside is that Moto-Hakone is a bit remote; most restaurants close after 6 PM. You might need to drive about half an hour (on mountain roads) to find a livelier town.

This hotel is superb, the space is large, the courtyard has a foot bath, the hotel is also a bit of a bathing facilities, washing machine, pots and pans, very convenient, very close to the supermarket, to the Yonggu also ten minutes, very suitable for self-driving family passengers
