Struck gold with this Nagoya accommodation! Daiwa Roynet Hotel just finished its renovation ✨ It's only a few minutes' walk from the station, and directly connected to the underground shopping street, so no worries about rain. The room is clean and modern, the bedding is comfortable, and the hairdryer is a nice bonus. Amenities can be picked up at the lobby, and the self-service laundry room is a thoughtful touch. There are many drugstores and restaurants nearby. If you're catching the Shinkansen or exploring Nagoya, staying here offers both excellent transportation and great value for money.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nagoya Taiko Dori Side is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Nagoya Station, making it an excellent base for exploring the city and traveling around Japan.
One of the biggest conveniences is the FamilyMart located on the ground floor, which is perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or daily necessities at any time.
The room was clean and comfortable, although it was relatively small, which is typical for many hotels in Japan. Despite the compact size, the room was well-organized and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The hotel provides a variety of amenities, which guests can conveniently pick up from the lobby according to their needs. This is both practical and environmentally friendly.
Overall, this is a great hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and comfortable stay near Nagoya Station.

The hotel is right next to Nagoya Station, making its location excellent. Despite ongoing road construction, there's a special pathway to access it, and the underground passage is also a very convenient option. Whether we took the Meitetsu bus to Ghibli Park or the subway to Legoland, it was incredibly easy to get around. The hotel staff were welcoming, and the place was clean and tidy. The breakfast was genuinely good. We had to pick up new toiletries ourselves each day. The iron in the room was a huge help this time. Overall, our experience was great. The only minor drawback was that the convenience store was a bit of a walk, but it was acceptable.

The hotel's location is pretty good, 1.3 km from the train station and 1.5 km from Matsuzakaya, making it convenient to get around. However, the layout of the hotel is quite baffling; the room is almost entirely taken up by the bathtub and toilet, and the soundproofing is extremely poor. The elevator is also incredibly slow, and the public bath is tiny. Avoid this place during Golden Week holidays.

Very clean rooms. Nice public bath and private bath/shower. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a pork cutlet restaurant on the first floor of the building. Standard freebie amenities. I’d say the only slight drawback was that the elevator always opens on the 2nd floor lobby if you’re coming up and going down to enter and leave. I kept getting out on the second floor thinking it was my floor😂 But, that could just be a me problem.

We were pleasantly surprised to find an uncle at the hotel who spoke Chinese and had an excellent attitude. When we checked out and it was raining, he even ran out to help us put waterproof covers on our luggage bags. Luggage storage was also very convenient. The room was cleaned promptly, with fresh water and slippers provided daily, but they only emptied the trash cans. Any trash in separate bags not placed in the bin wasn't collected.

We were assigned a high-floor room with a nice view. The room had the typical Daiwa Roynet decor, not very spacious, but big enough to open two suitcases. The toilet, shower, and bathtub were in the same space but partitioned, offering a decent wet/dry separation. Despite being on a high floor, we could hear the noise of motorcycles from Shinsaibashi at night. It was a bit loud but didn't disturb our sleep. We didn't try the breakfast, but others mentioned it was just average.

The hotel is located on a small street adjacent to Shinsaibashi's main shopping street, making it very close to Shinsaibashi and convenient for shopping. There are two convenience stores nearby, just a short walk away. We also found three or four popular ramen shops nearby; I tried two, and they were delicious, though there's often a queue. It's best to go early or late in the evening.

The subway station is about a 10-minute walk away, and you can walk along the main Shinsaibashi street, which is shaded and comfortable.

The room was a bit small, but perfectly adequate for one person. It was clean and tidy. The building has a public bath, and there's even a women-only elevator, which is very convenient and thoughtful. The lobby on the first floor has plenty of seating, a microwave, and an oven, so you can buy food elsewhere and heat it up to eat there. Small toiletries can be picked up near the front desk.

Excellent! The service was great, and the room was clean. Five-star rating! The hotel is in a prime location with full amenities and is very clean. The service was attentive and responsive, making the entire check-in process very smooth. It offers great value for money and is highly recommended!

The location is fantastic and super convenient!

Right by the train station, Torikizoku, izakayas, a pharmacy, and Aeon supermarket – it's just perfect!

The room is bright and spacious, making for a comfortable stay. The elevator is fast, and the shower pressure is great!

No wonder my friend has stayed here so many times! It's really good value for money.

The place was quite clean, but the location is not very convenient. The staff’s attitude was extremely poor. I only requested a towel change, so I put my used towel in the provided towel change bag, hung it outside the door, and pasted the request sticker as instructed. The cleaner took the towel but didn’t provide a new one.

I went to the counter to ask for a new towel and questioned why the cleaner didn’t replace it. The staff asked me what time I put the sticker, and I replied ‘11 am’. He then said, ‘No sir, you have to put it before 10 am. Later than that, we won’t change it!’ I was shocked and pointed out that the card stated towel changes are between 10 am and 11:30 am. Instead of explaining politely, he raised his voice and insisted, ‘Sir, you don’t understand, you must put it before 10 am.’

He then said he would send me a towel to my room. Honestly, what kind of attitude and service is this?

The room type is great, with a wet and dry separation, and a door between the bedroom and the washroom. The self-service area on the second floor is also convenient, offering tea bags, coffee, toiletries, and children's picture books. There's a 7-11 downstairs. The service is also excellent! There's also a temporary luggage storage area on the first floor.

I stayed here for the first two nights of my Okinawa trip and liked it so much that I extended my stay for another two nights. This short review is about the extended stay. Ms. Yamasato at the front desk helped me with the extension. She was very thoughtful and asked if we'd be okay with the air conditioning being serviced tomorrow afternoon, meaning we couldn't go back to the room for an afternoon nap. I said yes. After we finished the paperwork, Ms. Yamasato was already waiting for us at the elevator to tell us that the AC repair time had changed. I was really touched by her meticulous service. I originally planned to extend for two more nights, but for some reason, the price on Trip.com kept getting higher with each extension. The second extension for the same room was ¥950, including breakfast. So I decided to move to another hotel. My wife also checked the price on Trip.com, and it was ¥660, including breakfast, for the same standard room.

This hotel offered a super hassle-free stay with excellent value for money! The breakfast selection was incredibly rich, featuring Okinawan local specialties like Okinawa soba noodles, Blue Seal purple sweet potato ice cream, Sata Andagi (Okinawan doughnuts), and jasmine tea, providing an immersive taste of local flavors. They also had classic Western breakfast options, including croissants, buttered bread, sausages, fried eggs, coffee, and juice, satisfying both Eastern and Western palates.

The room amenities were very thoughtful, equipped with pajamas, a magnifying mirror, deodorant spray, and a refrigerator – more than sufficient for a daily stay. At the front desk, you could pick up complimentary combs, body scrub towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, face wash headbands, cotton swabs, mouthwash, and tea/coffee bags. Other toiletries needed to be brought by yourself.

The location was absolutely fantastic! Right next door were Lawson and 7-Eleven convenience stores, making daily shopping super convenient. Across the street from the hotel, there was a delicious izakaya, and within a few hundred meters, you'd find all sorts of food establishments, so you'll never run out of places to eat and explore. Getting around was also incredibly easy; the meeting point for day tours was just a 300-meter walk away. You could walk to Tomari Port in 20 minutes or take a 6-minute taxi ride, making it super convenient for planning Okinawa day trips – a top choice for independent travelers. (The first 3 photos are of the hotel breakfast, and the last 3 photos are of the izakaya: Naha Chocho)

Considering the room's floor, orientation, window view, size, in-room amenities, and the services available on each floor, along with the hotel brand, I'd say it offers good value for money overall. The cleanliness was generally good, with the linens and such being quite clean. The hotel is also conveniently located, just over 300 meters from the Kekim bus/train station.
