Booked an executive river-view suite for my child's exam, and was upgraded to the Presidential Suite for free! What a pleasant surprise!

Staying in the Presidential Suite at Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel completely redefined my perception of luxury travel! Located on the 20th floor, the hotel's top level, this exclusive 165 sqm space boasts a discreetly elegant quality. The beige stitched leather low cabinet at the entrance immediately catches the eye; there's no ostentatious display, yet every detail exudes a refined, almost regal charm.

The most captivating feature is undoubtedly the panoramic view – 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unobstructed vista of the ancient charm of Yu Garden, the Bund's architectural masterpieces, and the iconic Lujiazui skyline. By day, traditional black-tiled roofs contrast beautifully with modern skyscrapers, while at night, the river sparkles with dazzling neon lights. Soaking in the bathtub while facing such a magnificent scene is pure bliss, making you forget the passage of time. The interior layout balances functionality with comfort; the living room is spacious and airy, with crystal chandeliers casting soft reflections. Custom fabric sofas and walnut veneer furniture make it perfect for both business meetings and intimate family gatherings. The bedroom's warm ambiance is incredibly soothing, and the Egyptian cotton bedding feels like sleeping on clouds, ensuring a restful night. The bathroom features luxurious double vanity sinks and a round Jacuzzi, with a full set of high-end toiletries elevating bathing into a therapeutic ritual.

The service is impeccable, with a 24-hour exclusive butler available on call, ensuring every detail contributes to a truly welcoming experience. The hotel's location is superb, within walking distance of Yu Garden and City God Temple, and close to the subway station, making dining and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Guests also enjoy access to the executive lounge on the 17th-18th floors for breakfast and happy hour, offering value that far exceeds expectations.

Whether for high-end business needs or a luxurious vacation, this Presidential Suite perfectly delivers. Next time I visit Yu Garden, I will definitely choose this hotel again to unlock more wonderful experiences high above the clouds!

Service: The check-in staff were very friendly and efficient! 😘
Environment: The hotel is conveniently located and the surrounding area is very quiet. The room was clean, spacious, and well-lit. The bathroom had many thoughtful design touches and was comfortable to use. It was a great stay.
Breakfast: The hotel hosts many international guests, so the breakfast also had a foreign flair. There was a wide variety of delicious options, and they refilled dishes quickly. It was an excellent experience!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Zhongshan Park subway station, and downstairs is the Dragon Dream shopping mall, which is great for those with kids. The hotel has been around for many years, but it's very well-maintained, clean, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast buffet is also good. The hotel lobby and bar on the 25th floor offer fantastic views. The only downside is that the room is quite small; with two adults, two children, and several suitcases, it was almost completely filled.

To sum it up: this place is king of value for money. Nothing stands out as exceptionally brilliant, but everything is excellent, including its slightly off-center location near the heart of a huge city. The convenience of the surrounding commercial area is fantastic (within 300 meters, there are two Starbucks, two FamilyMarts, high-end apartment complexes with supermarkets and dining on the ground floor, and a subway entrance, all within a 5-minute walk). The rooms are spacious; although the room I was assigned this time didn't have the best view, looking out onto a construction site, that's a minor flaw. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai. Oh, and the buffet breakfast is pretty good too, with all the usual Chinese and Western options.

Staff very friendly. Hotel is new and clean. It is in a shopping centre so you got lots of shops and restaurants with in mins.
about 6 mins from Flushing train station. Highly recommended.

The parking is pretty far away. They give out free tickets for some attractions. Times square is very very crowded. Watch out for people dressed up to ask you to take photos with them. They will ask for money later. 

As a Marriott member, the hotel provides free breakfast and free drinks every morning. The breakfast is average but free, nothing to complain about. The hotel is in a good location and is within walking distance of the Empire State Building. It is worth mentioning that when we checked out, we had to go to LGA LaGuardia Airport. The car the hotel helped us call was big and new, the driver was very nice, and the price was not more expensive than taking Lyft. Thank you very much

The most important thing to remind you is that the hotel is located in Harlem, which is said to be a black community. You can check the security situation in the area online. I don't mean to discriminate against black people here. But the first night I arrived was around 7pm on the weekend. After getting off the bus, I felt that there were many people around the hotel and it was quite chaotic. The hotel reception was on the 5th floor. After checking the Internet in the room, I felt that I lived in the wrong place. I traveled by UBER in the next few days and didn't dare to take the subway. The hotel should be a high-end one nearby, and the Apollo Theater is next to it. I stayed for 5 or 6 days, but I didn't go around the hotel, so it's inconvenient to make too many comments. It's just that there are many black people outside the hotel, and beggars occasionally approached me. I didn't encounter any unpleasant things around the hotel.

The location is OK, close to Chelsea, or just in Chelsea. The view is good, with a night view of Manhattan. The room is also quite big. Walk around for a few minutes and you will be at the famous gallery of Chelsea, which is also close to the highline. It depends on where you want to go. All in all, it's good, I like it.

The room was great, with a practical layout, a bathtub, and stunning views. The king bed and a smaller bed were perfect for two adults and one child. We were very satisfied with the Executive Privileges package; we enjoyed all meals except lunch, which was fantastic! Breakfast, afternoon tea, happy hour snacks, and evening soft drinks were all perfectly to our taste! We absolutely loved having the continuous Executive Lounge access and services – it was definitely a bonus! Plus, the hotel's location is excellent, with a subway station right outside, making it convenient to get anywhere! We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

I stayed for 3 nights in total, and overall, I'm quite satisfied! The room size, facilities, and location are all major pluses!

Just a small suggestion: food deliveries require self-pickup. Since I was on a high floor, I had to go down to the 4th floor, then transfer from the 4th floor to the 1st floor. When I was really tired, I absolutely didn't want to go downstairs, so at my request, the front desk did help me bring the delivery up. But I hope in the future, at the very least, they could use a robot for deliveries!

On my second day, when I extended my stay, I asked for the room to be cleaned before I returned, but when I came back, the room hadn't been touched. They did, however, handle it immediately afterward.

Overall, their service awareness and speed in resolving issues were quite timely. So, I'm generally satisfied.

The hotel's decor, from the lobby to the rooms, really pays attention to detail and has a great sense of design. The ornaments in our suite also showed thoughtfulness. It was very spacious with a double-bathroom design, perfect for families, and the room layout was excellent, ensuring privacy. We especially appreciated the complimentary wooden souvenir key card, featuring the hotel's distinctive horse theme. Soundproofing was great, and cleanliness was high. My favorite part was the living room; it felt just like home. The male receptionist and the concierge staff were both very helpful.

The restaurant has a stylish design, but the variety of dishes wasn't very extensive, and options were limited. There weren't many Beijing-specific breakfast items, and there were very few staff members. The coffee machine was a bit of a mystery – it prompted you to pull something to confirm, but it wasn't actually necessary, and I had to ask someone nearby for help. Throughout our time in the restaurant, I only saw one roving server. However, having lemon chicken feet with bolognese in the morning was unexpectedly good – a perfect snack with a drink, haha!
