TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever. -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

FFubaoqingjiuI chose to stay at the Air Garden in the old city the night before leaving Kashgar to see the apricot blossoms in Southern Xinjiang. As soon as I completed my booking, the guesthouse manager contacted me to ask if I needed airport transfer and informed me about the local weather conditions. I felt a sense of warmth even before checking in. Since vehicles aren't allowed in the old city, the manager informed me of the drop-off point and picked me up the night before check-in. This service was fantastic and saved me the awkwardness of dragging my luggage around looking for the place. The hotel used to be the residence of a local 'Master Bayi' who was in the jade business. His eldest son later inherited the business and expanded it internationally. The original residence was very luxurious. Later, a boss from Hunan bought it and preserved the original four floors. The current third and fourth floors are replicas of the original residence, featuring exquisite wood carvings, making it a wood carving museum. Guests can visit for free. The fifth to seventh floors are the guesthouse, and the first floor sells jade. On the day of check-in, I received a complimentary jade 'peace buckle' from the guesthouse, which was a thoughtful touch 👍 The room decor had a distinct local flavor. Welcome fruits were already waiting in the room, and the mini-bar was free to enjoy. The super-large terrace offered a fantastic spot for enjoying the night view. On the day of check-in, I got to enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea. The pastries were exquisite, and sipping tea while admiring the beautiful scenery of the old city made all my worries disappear. This hotel boasts the highest vantage point in the entire old city, perfect for watching sunsets and sunrises. I didn't get to experience it this time, but I'll definitely try it next time. A big thank you to my manager, a handsome local guy, who was with me from the moment I booked until I left. He showed me around and explained the stories behind the wood carving museum, promptly resolved any requests I had during my stay, and patiently inquired about my airport transfer. Thumbs up! The guesthouse manager arranges breakfast for guests on the fifth floor according to their requested time. You can choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The breakfast spread was rich and well-balanced; I couldn't even finish it all by myself 😂 This guesthouse has only 10 rooms, offering a high degree of privacy. The elevator and entrances all use facial recognition. After checking in, I had a travel photoshoot with makeup on, and afterwards, the facial recognition surprisingly didn't work 😂 This only further convinced me of the guesthouse's excellent security! 👍 Although it's a guesthouse, it's very well-managed. Here, I truly experienced what 'customer-first' means. The guesthouse manager, Ms. Jin, an elegant lady, genuinely cares for guests, making everyone feel at home. I heard that after May 1st, the guesthouse will offer a service where managers take guests on tours of the old city. This is a brilliant idea, saving guests who are unfamiliar with the old city the hassle of getting lost. I look forward to the guesthouse getting better and better. The guesthouse's amenity kit is beautiful, and the manager said I could take it home, which is great! 😄 I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Kashgar. I highly recommend everyone to experience the charm of this guesthouse up close and hear its stories firsthand.

AAngela serm I have stayed in folk houses and hotels. Friends who come from outside recommend this hotel which is close to the airport. In addition to free airport pick-up and drop-off, it also provides breakfast and is close to Green City (where there is a food court, clean and quiet, better than Khan Bazar). A fare to the ancient city is no more than 20 yuan. The hotel is clean, tidy and comfortable. It is a good place to stay for a stroll during the day and to rest in peace. Thank you very much! I like it very much. Next time I come to Kashgar, I will choose this hotel for the whole trip!

GGuest UserThis hotel is great! It’s in a great area. The staff are friendly and provide awesome service! They even offered to do my laundry for me free of charge even though the laundry facility is set up as a 24 hour self service facility. I really appreciated that because I was busy on the day I checked in and would’ve had to do my laundry late at night if they were not willing to do this. I stayed here for one night and did not have any clean clothes for the next day. The rooms are clean. I booked a non smoking room and was provided me without any issues. The room was also on a non smoking floor. The public areas of the hotel that I was in did not smell like cigarette smoke like many of them do in China. I have stayed at many hotels in China and even though I have booked non smoking rooms online for all of the hotels I stayed at, I did not receive one many times as those hotels didn’t have any, which I was not happy with.  The only recommendation I have for this hotel is to prohibit smoking entirely and strongly enforce it with consequences for guests if they haven’t done so yet. This would include all of their guest rooms. This would improve the overall guest experience, especially for non smokers. This is becoming more common in the hotel industry and would make the hotel more attractive to book than hotels in the area that allow smoking.

GGuest UserThe hotel is about 25 minutes from the airport. After making a reservation in advance, the clerk contacted me to understand my hotel needs, which was very heart-warming. The location of the hotel is easy to find. After renting a car, you can follow the navigation to the hotel. Parking is free. The surrounding area is very new. There are restaurants and shops which are very convenient. The hotel is newly opened. The decoration style is very unique and novel. It starts as soon as you enter the gate. I couldn’t stop taking photos of all kinds, and the children also liked it very much. Manager Zhang’s service was very good. Knowing that I was bringing children, he specially arranged a parent-child room for me to experience. Thank you very much. The decoration style of the room is very simple and there is no peculiar smell. Extra slippers and toothbrushes are provided for the children. The quality is also very good. There is a gym and laundry room on the 3rd floor, which is really complete. I also went to experience the buffet breakfast in the morning. The time is from 8 to 11 o'clock. I didn't expect that it was still dark at 8 o'clock. The breakfast is buffet. Although the place is not big, it is rich enough. The snacks and dishes are very good. Well, there are also special plates for children. In short, the experience is very good, the current stay is also very cost-effective, and the photos are particularly good. I will choose this place again if I have the chance and recommend it to other friends who need to stay here.

GGuest UserThe room was exactly as pictured, and the upgraded room type was even more spacious. It had a smart toilet, and the shower pressure was great with plenty of hot water. Even though the window faced the street, it wasn't noisy at all. After more than ten days of traveling in Xinjiang, I had long run out of my own lotion. Only three hotels on my trip provided lotion, so when I discovered this one did, I was genuinely thrilled! Finally, I could relieve the dryness and itchiness on my legs – huge praise for that! The front desk staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was quite good too. Plus, they offer airport pick-up and drop-off, which is super convenient. While a taxi to the airport isn't expensive, having this service just feels incredibly thoughtful.

GGuest UserWhat started as just a fleeting layover in Kashgar unexpectedly turned into a unique memory of the Western Regions. The vibrant local life here is truly captivating—the friendly smiles, the incredibly sweet fruits, and the palpable energy all instantly brought a sense of healing. I particularly want to give a shout-out to 'Xiao Bu' at the front desk. From proactively checking in with me before my arrival to the welcome fruit platter upon check-in, her thoughtful care added a wonderful sense of belonging to my journey. And of course, the ultimate luxury was the view from my window—opening it to see the ancient city, thousands of years old, laid out before me. This is probably Kashgar's ultimate romance. The winds at the crossroads of Central Asia have blown for millennia; I wish for the ancient city to remain vibrant, for Kashgar to thrive, and for the kind Xiao Bu to have all the best. Kashgar, I'll see you again!

SShakil AhmadFrom the airport the taxi driver did not know location of JinJiang Inn. After showing him the address we drove on Turman Road but still couldnt find it. We rang the hotel and the taxi drive droped me off in the vicinity. I walked around for a while asking but few people knew the whereabouts. Finally i saw a small signage and turned into the courtyard and there was JinJiang Inn. Later I found out there is a huge sign at ther top of the building but for padestrian traffic its difficult to notice. So perhaps a more conspicouse signage will be helpful. Rooms are brand new and towels clean and replinished every day. The bathroom facilities were great. Breakfast , If you are not a Chinese Traveller i recommend save your money by not buying the breakfast selection as nothing there caters for foriengers. But if you are Chinese the selection is sumptious. Some slices of bread and jam would cater for western taste buds. Location is great. Kunlun Tower is walking distance and so is the Ancient city of Ashgar. The front desk receptionist are really helpful for someone like me who doesn't speak Mandarin. I enjoyed my stay with very little complains. For the price its a value for money accomodation.

GGuest UserA store that will not step on thunder at all, everyone can rest assured, there is basically no difference from the description, the decoration is very ethnic! The homestay is in the ancient city, very close to the Kunlun Tower, and you can see the entire Kunlun Tower next to the homestay! In the evening, the performance of the heart of Kashgar is right next to it, a very good performance. I went to see the opening ceremony and it was very beautiful. The ancient city of Kashgar is really a very good place. It is worth mentioning that the boss was very enthusiastic and invited us to dinner, and the hotel was cleaned very cleanly. Guli at the front desk came to the parking lot to pick us up and took the initiative to send us when we left. It feels like my own family!

BBlade.around.the.worldI had originally booked another hotel for my 10 day stay in Kashgar but my intrigue with the historical background that's behind the Seman Hotel made me switch hotels. Admittedly I was a little disappointed upon my arrival when I realized the Rezen brand had decided to choose a modern approach with their recent renovations. But in the end it was fine; the hotel's rooms are very comfortable, in excellent state with outstanding beds, good sound isolation and very good amenities. The shower has a great pressure and the rooms are warm and refreshing in the cold winter. The location is okay, walking distance to the old town, Uyghur restaurants and a mall. The receptionists are outstanding and have a wonderful service mind. We had a small issue with housekeeping halfway our stay but the problem got resolved with exactly the kind of attitude you would expect from a 4 star hotel. All in all for the low off season price we paid it was an outstanding value and a true pleasure to stay at the Rezen Seman Hotel in Kashgar. I would highly recommend this hotel and dont let the slightly shabby look of the outside of the hotel make you change your mind as from the inside the hotel is modern, clean, well decorated and comfortable. Thank you all for a great stay during our 10 days in Kashgar.
