GGuest UserThis was a wonderful stay. After a short tour of Yufuin, the shuttle service I'd requested arrived in front of Yufuin Station. We enjoyed welcome tea in the lounge and were then guided to our accommodation. Having a Korean guest made it even more comfortable. The accommodation was clean and spacious, with everything we needed. The fridge was free of charge, and the coffee was delicious. Think of it as a private, standalone pension. The bathroom and sink were separate, both spacious and comfortable. The hair dryer and curling iron were also provided, which was incredibly convenient. Usually, hotel hair dryers are weak and take a long time to dry, but this one was the best! The manager and staff were all friendly, and I went with my mom and was very satisfied. The photos don't show everything, but this was the best accommodation I've ever stayed in Japan. I'd love to go back with someone special!

SsmilinglilwenThis must be the biggest hotel room I have ever stayed in Japan. It is a traditional Ryokan with 3 Private Onsen available for reservation upon arrival. The scenery and ambience around the hotel were peaceful & very gorgeous. The mountain view from our room was fantastic. Besides, it took less than 10 mins walking distance to the famous Kinrik Lake! 😌🎐 Each guest could pick a 👘 for free too. The services was great and the staffs were attentive too. We stored all our biggest luggages at Yufuin Station and only brought along light luggage because it is far away from station. Gentle reminder for the guest to book a taxi at least one day earlier before your departure. By the way, it was a lucky morning when it started to snow during our ryokan checked out! It made the Ryokan looked even more amazing! ❄️ The only regret was breakfast and dinner were both unavailable during reservation and there is no ryokan contact was available before arrival. It would be 100% if I were to taste the すきやき, Sukiyaki! 🥩🍲

GGuest UserStaying at this hot spring hotel during cherry blossom season created wonderful memories for my family and me. The hotel provides a convenient shuttle service—just a quick call from the station, and within 10 minutes, a car arrives to take guests directly to the hotel. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive. Upon noticing that my father was using a cane, they kindly arranged a room for us without stairs, ensuring a more comfortable stay. The accommodation was spacious, featuring a private onsen and a massage chair, which made the experience even more relaxing. Since the hotel is near the mountains, there were a few insects, but it wasn’t a major issue. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and in the morning, guests could get fresh milk with breakfast. The hotel’s location was ideal—just a short distance from the shopping street and Lake Kinrin, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we truly enjoyed the experience.

GGuest UserIs a good experience, I liked the Japanese style of it, the location is good, away from the Main Street for around 5mins walking distance. There is a local supermarket near by. staffs can’t speak other languages but Japanese we used Google translate which worked well. I stayed 2 nights, breakfast and dinner were very good too.

GGuest UserFantastic accommodation. There's 5 onsen that you can try out during your stay. Food is really good with free flow alcohol for dinner. Really sweet of the staff to prepare snacks and a complimentary Polaroid shot when you check out. Everything is just so comfortable and fuss-free.

고래박물관I rented a car, so it was great to be close to the main street. On the first day, I walked out, and it took about 20 minutes. This was my third hot spring trip, and each time I've chosen places with private baths in the room. It was so cold that the temperature of the outdoor bath dropped a bit, so even after getting out, it was chilly. However, there was also a bath inside, which we used well. Only two large bath towels were provided per night. If you wanted more, you had to pay a rental fee of 110 yen per towel. There were no other regular-sized towels, so if you wanted to use the bath multiple times, you had to dry and reuse the same towels, which was a bit inconvenient. If you want to take pretty photos in the bath, you need to wrap yourself in a towel, which means you definitely have to rent one. I've traveled frequently both domestically and internationally, but this is the first time I've had to pay extra for towels, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Breakfast and dinner were just okay. The staff were friendly, but the food wasn't great. It wasn't that it tasted bad, but rather that it wasn't particularly delicious or memorable. Please note there's no shuttle service. Still, it was meaningful to be able to enjoy a hot spring in the snow.

SSame Raksa DangIt sounds like you had an amazing experience at that hostel! Here's a slightly polished version of your review: If you're looking for a budget-friendly hostel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. The owner couple is incredibly friendly and makes you feel at home right away. I was greeted by a new roommate and the owner even took us on a night tour to Kinrin Lake and Floral Village, which was such a lovely surprise. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, and the couple’s romantic gesture of singing a beautiful thank-you song before you leave just adds a special touch. Their voices are stunning, and it truly makes you want to return

GGuest UserIt wasn't an expensive ryokan, so I didn't expect much, but I was satisfied and had a good rest. It took about 5 minutes to walk from the station, but it was easy to find because you just have to go straight down, and the room was also satisfactory. I tried the kotatsu for the first time, and the heating was really warm. I used the hot springs, the most popular one in the evening, and the small indoor hot spring in the morning. The most popular one is always crowded and is closed during dinner time, but I was able to go in after eating dinner and waiting for less than an hour on the chair in front of me. They set a dinner time, but I was at 6:30, and it seems to be open from 6, but it seems like the first person who had dinner around 7:20 was the one who used it. I think it's about 30 to 50 minutes per time slot, so you can wait. I didn't eat breakfast because I slept in late.

TTERERSAThe views are open and expansive, but the location is a bit far from the station, nestled in the mountains. However, there's a shuttle bus available for reservation. The room includes a private onsen and both breakfast and dinner. The front desk service was attentive; even though we had an early dinner reservation and many people wanted to move theirs up, we weren't able to eat any earlier, but they did their best to maintain our original booking. Overall, it was pretty good. The room lighting was a bit dim, but generally clean.
