"The hotel's amenities are probably top-notch for an Ibis in Australia, and the room was neat and clean. The air conditioning in our first room wasn't working, and Mr. Amin was incredibly kind and proactive in helping us. He provided a Dyson fan to address the issue and promptly followed up on the room's temperature. When he learned it still wasn't resolved, he consulted his supervisor to arrange a room change. He also helped us with our luggage and moved the original fan to the new room as a backup. I felt like this level of service was on par with The Ritz, and I was deeply touched. Thank you, Mr. Amin."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Hotel. The suite is just perfect for me, hubby and sister. The room is spacious and clean. The counter staff were helpful and responsive. Love.the happy hour! The bartender was sweet to let us sample the different types of beers. The restaurant service was fast and the food was hearty and yummy. If you have plans to join a day tour, Best Western is one of the pick-up point otherwise the walking to the St Brooke Pier is just 10 mins away. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the hotel."

"Good location, just walking distance to the main streets which closes very early. Restaurants are easily accessible. I self drive, nearest parking is of about 3-5mins walk away at $35AUD per night unlimited. I personally feel if i were to choose again, maybe i would just park at the nearest carpark beside, or park at the same carpark without using the hotel privilege, maybe it could be cheaper. This is because i only come back to the hotel at night and moved out early in the morning. Worth exploring if anyone were to try. Cleanliness wise, im not too sure, i make room everyday but theres some stains in the bathroom which was left on day1, still there on day3, but room and bed definitely tidied. Still worth to stay. Love the indoor pool and the breakfast is good too! (Ala carte order, not buffet)"

"The location is absolutely superb. It's within walking distance of the city center pedestrian street, and many popular restaurants are easily accessible on foot. There's a supermarket right next to the hotel, and an Asian supermarket nearby, which is very convenient. The hotel's breakfast is a buffet with an à la carte option. It's typical 'Western' breakfast fare, with not a huge selection, but the taste is decent. The room itself is quite spacious and comfortable. Overall, it offers good value for money."

"Reception couldn’t get in to office as didn’t have her key so had to wait for 30 minutes for the owner to come down to check us in. She said it would be 5-10 minutes before he arrived, after that time passed, she said it would be longer. Wouldn’t give us a dis count when I asked, with owner and receptionist speaking in non English to each other. Under sufferance upgraded to 2 bedroom unit.  I suggested they need to have a spare key kept somewhere."

"Very good stay in general. Around 10 minutes walk from all the day trip pick up locations (e.g. Brooke Street Pier). The facilities were amazing and the front desk staff members were all very supportive and helpful. Loved the welcome cookies!! The room was big and we received daily clean ups. We visited the pool and also utilised the gym during our stay as well - very good facilities. The bathroom wall was a bit think as we could vaguely hear people next door, but the room was completely fine - could not hear a thing. Would recommend to all types of travellers and will definitely stay again if we are visiting Hobart again!"
