Cheap Hotels in Hualien

"The breakfast buffet was loaded with choices. I stayed there long enough to finally decide on my favorite breakfast, I thought. It wasn't too long before I changed things up again was never disappointed. Yes, the service and rooms were great too! Yes, this is my go to place when I'm in town again."

"First off, the hotel is a bit far from the other parts of Hualien so its best suited for those who are just plannning to stay around the hotel or the ”Ocean Park” nearby, although this is mitigated by the shuttle they offer to the train station and back. But for my purposes that was fine. The hotel is quite large and has many facilities, including both outdoor and indoor pool (outdoor pool closed during winter seasons). Views are quite nince and more than justify the cost. Advised perhaps to go in the summer when the outdoro pool is open and there are less cloudsl, though undoubtedily will be more epxennnnsive. But on a sunny day I imagine it would be hard to beat the value offered by this place I believe, especialyl if you are content to just gaze at the ocean rather than go to places like Taroko gorge."

"This is my first time in Hualien... The people of Hualien are so friendly and welcoming! The accommodations were great, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was good, and there was coffee available anytime. The hotel's location was also very convenient, with easy access to both the bus and train stations. If I come to Hualien again, I will definitely book this hotel again."

"Stayed two days in a quad room. This was my third stay. The room was very clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly. If there's no parking available, they'll even move their company car and let you park. It's across the street from 7-Eleven, and there's also a TP-Link nearby. Zhongmei Street has many delicious restaurants, so it's quite convenient. If I had to find a negative, it would be: The rooftop pool is quite small. Even with four people in it, it's usually full. It's too hot during the day and only open until around 9 PM. The breakfast on the first floor has a good selection of special dishes, but for some reason the air conditioning isn't cooling enough, so the food is a bit warm. Overall, it's quite good."

"Great location! Right next to Pxmart, and there are many chain restaurants within walking distance. The room was well soundproofed and quiet. They also offer a self-service breakfast and even instant noodles for a late-night snack~ Excellent value for money, I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hualien. 👍"

"Our trip to Hualien was full of pleasant surprises! We originally booked a city view room, but when we checked in, the front desk upgraded us to a sea view room. We were so happy! The room was very clean, and we'll definitely stay here again next time. Awesome! 👍"

"The hotel room was very clean and spacious. It's only a 5-minute walk to Hualien Station (bus and train). From the station, you can take minibus #8 to Qixingtan Beach for TWD 25 per person. I was very impressed with the beautiful, clean beach and clear water – a must-visit!"

"The main reason for wanting to experience a ”capsule” hotel was to check it out. My elementary school kids loved it, running around in the bunk beds. The single beds were actually quite large and very new. The room was well-planned and detailed; each room had its own charging port, a small light, a cabinet, and even toiletries! The shared bathroom was very clean. The kitchen was accessible on the first floor, so we went to Qixingtan to buy fish to fry at night – it was fantastic! If you arrive at the hotel early, you can ride bicycles and walk to the beach, where there's a heated swimming pool! In the morning, we played cards in the common area on the first floor while listening to music. 👍"

"For the location, it's quite far out from the center of Hualien. So you will need to hail a taxi or call the reception desk to book a shuttle bus to pick you up from the station and to the station. Another thing to know is that Uber doesn't work here so you will need to download another app or just physically hail a taxi. However, this is the best hotel I've stayed so far in Taiwan. The room & toilet are extremely spacious and clean. There is a lot of facilities in this hotel that includes a free pool table, ping pong table and swimming pool for you to enjoy. The breakfast buffet is also quite good with a lot of selection as well."

"The hotel is about 1.5km from Hualien Station, and a bit tricky to find as it's tucked away in an alley off the main Zhongshan Road. However, a taxi from Hualien Station got me there quickly once I told the driver the hotel name. While the hotel staff don't speak Japanese, they are proficient in English. They are also cheerful and helpful, and use translation apps on their phones to communicate, so any issues can be easily resolved. There's a coin laundry right next to the hotel, which is convenient for washing clothes. The hotel is in a city area with plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets nearby. The room I stayed in had a combined toilet and shower, with only a shower curtain separating them. You need to be careful, as the curtain can easily open and soak the toilet area. (Be warned!) If your plan includes breakfast, you'll receive breakfast tokens (coins) for each person upon check-in. Breakfast is a buffet with a good variety of tasty options. The dining room tables and chairs are made from large, single slabs of wood, which is quite unique for Japan. You're expected to clear your own dishes after eating and place the breakfast tokens in a box by the dining room exit. Next to the hotel lobby, they sell cute deer-themed merchandise like keychains, wallets, and hand towels."
