"Seriously, what a find! This guesthouse is located at the highest point in Jinkeng Dazhai that's accessible by car, which saved us a lot of uphill walking. From here, it's just a 10-minute walk to Observation Deck No. 2 and 20 minutes to Observation Deck No. 1. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of high-tech facilities, spacious and comfortable, with a faint scent of tung oil. The large balcony offers direct views of the stunning rice terraces, perfect for time-lapse photography, or simply lounging around, daydreaming and sipping tea – a truly relaxing experience. We stayed here for two comfortable nights. The guesthouse even has an elevator, making it super convenient to get to the fourth floor. The owner's cooking is absolutely amazing, and even breakfast was very generous. They served complimentary homemade rice wine with every meal, and even gave us a souvenir when we left. The owner is incredibly thoughtful!"

"The hotel facilities are clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped. The shower water was nice and hot. The hotel's location is excellent, offering a fantastic 180-degree panoramic view. The lobby downstairs is spacious and beautifully decorated. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful, helping us plan our itinerary right from when we booked the room. She advised us on how to avoid wasting time traveling between the two villages on the scenic bus and even booked our bus tickets back to Guilin for the next day. After checking out, she kindly drove us to the parking lot. The rice noodles for breakfast and the bamboo chicken and rice for dinner were delicious, and we even received complimentary glutinous rice wine. Highly recommended!"

"The room looks exactly like the pictures on Trip.com, directly facing the rice terraces. I really have to commend this guesthouse run by local villagers in Jinkeng Village! The owner even carried our luggage to the room with a shoulder pole. I loved the style of the small courtyard, the rooftop, and the lobby – cozy, bright, and natural wood tones. The guesthouse service exceeded our expectations. They told us the best times to photograph the terraces for that mirror-like effect, introduced us to nearby attractions, and even offered a free fish-catching activity. They sent us the menu via WeChat in advance. The chives and small fish we ordered for dinner were freshly picked and caught from the owner's own garden. The complimentary iced rice wine was absolutely delicious. These honest villagers truly welcome every guest with all their heart."

"I chose this place mainly because I wanted easy access to the rice terraces, and it honestly worked out really well. Getting there didn’t feel like a hassle at all—it was close enough that I didn’t have to wake up too early or worry about complicated transportation. It made the whole trip feel more relaxed. What I liked most was being able to just plan my visit without stressing about travel time. I could head out when I felt like it and still have plenty of time to enjoy the views. It also made it easier to go back and rest after exploring, which I really appreciated after walking around the terraces. "This hotel is at a an absolutely stunning spot! Our room on the 5th floor offered a splendid view over the Longji rice terraces (Dazhai, Tianthouzhai), very close to scenic spot No. 1). If you like to hike, it‘s also a good location. We walked down on a beautiful path to Dazhai and from there up to the Golden Buddha Peak, which is at the upper station of the cable car. For going down to the Dazhai Parking Lot we took this cable car, a 20 minutes ride (55 RMB one way, April 2026). To get back to the hotel you can take the tourist scenic bus and walk the last 5 minutes up to the hotel. We can highly recommend this hotel! It is perfectly clean and we very much liked the washing machine in our room. The staff is very friendly. A small regret: We would have appreciated if there would have been more effort to communicate pro-actively, for example by using a translation app. Some advice to the different hiking paths and/or a map would have been helpful. But some Information can also be found on the internet."

"Our stay at the hotel was great! The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They also respond very quickly to all your questions and you can easily reach them via WeChat. They helped us to book a direct bus from Guilin to Dazhai and from Dazhai to Yangshuo. The pick up and drop off service from the Dazhai parking lot is quick and efficient, we were really happy that we didn't need to walk up the hill with our heavy luggage. The room is clean, spacious and luxurious. The breakfast is really good. We also ordered food for dinner twice and it was delicious! We also got some very good rice wine and tea with the dinner. We're travelling in China for a month and this was definitely our best stay of the entire trip!"

"The room was very clean and tidy. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the scenic area. You can even see beautiful views from the hotel restaurant corridor! The owner is incredibly kind. When I arrived by car at Dazhai, the owner personally came to pick me up, and when I left, he saw me off. Since I was traveling alone, the owner invited me to eat with him and the staff, which was very touching and thoughtful. Choosing this guesthouse for visiting the Longji Rice Terraces is definitely the right decision!"

"Mama and I had such a great experience here on our 3-day (2-night) trip to the 龙脊 rice terraces. Cannot recommend these guys enough! They were so friendly from the start and service was AMAZING.  We got quite lucky with our room. We were able to catch the sunrise every morning coming over the “back of the dragon”. Location was great too, being not too far from the 九龙五虎 and 七星半月 observation decks. Aside from the view, the place was clean with the usual amenities. Their home-cooked Guilin specialty meals also made for great dinner. Almost everything was home grown and locally sourced, and oh so tasty!  They were also great with our check-out and send-off, helping us organise a car/driver to our next stop (Yangshou) and a little farewell token that read “ 一生平安” which translates to “a lifetime of peace and safety”. We even picked up some of their monk fruit (羅漢果) and passion fruit (百香果) before we left! Thank you for making us feel so welcome 西窗月! Highly recommend booking with them! ☺️👌🏼"

"The room was spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable. The balcony offered a beautiful, expansive view of the terraced fields. Breakfast was included, and we just needed to arrange lunch and dinner with the owner. They also provided shuttle service up and down the mountain, which was incredibly convenient. The service was warm and attentive. I had to go up and down the mountain several times for personal matters, and the owner was always very enthusiastic about driving me and offering assistance. Truly commendable!"
