"I chose this place mainly because I wanted easy access to the rice terraces, and it honestly worked out really well. Getting there didn’t feel like a hassle at all—it was close enough that I didn’t have to wake up too early or worry about complicated transportation. It made the whole trip feel more relaxed. What I liked most was being able to just plan my visit without stressing about travel time. I could head out when I felt like it and still have plenty of time to enjoy the views. It also made it easier to go back and rest after exploring, which I really appreciated after walking around the terraces. If you’re visiting mainly for the rice terraces, this location just makes things simpler. It’s not about luxury or anything over the top—it’s just practical and convenient, which honestly made a big difference in my overall experience."

"This hotel is at a an absolutely stunning spot! Our room on the 5th floor offered a splendid view over the Longji rice terraces (Dazhai, Tianthouzhai), very close to scenic spot No. 1). If you like to hike, it‘s also a good location. We walked down on a beautiful path to Dazhai and from there up to the Golden Buddha Peak, which is at the upper station of the cable car. For going down to the Dazhai Parking Lot we took this cable car, a 20 minutes ride (55 RMB one way, April 2026). To get back to the hotel you can take the tourist scenic bus and walk the last 5 minutes up to the hotel. We can highly recommend this hotel! It is perfectly clean and we very much liked the washing machine in our room. The staff is very friendly. A small regret: We would have appreciated if there would have been more effort to communicate pro-actively, for example by using a translation app. Some advice to the different hiking paths and/or a map would have been helpful. But some Information can also be found on the internet."

"Our stay at the hotel was great! The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They also respond very quickly to all your questions and you can easily reach them via WeChat. They helped us to book a direct bus from Guilin to Dazhai and from Dazhai to Yangshuo. The pick up and drop off service from the Dazhai parking lot is quick and efficient, we were really happy that we didn't need to walk up the hill with our heavy luggage. The room is clean, spacious and luxurious. The breakfast is really good. We also ordered food for dinner twice and it was delicious! We also got some very good rice wine and tea with the dinner. We're travelling in China for a month and this was definitely our best stay of the entire trip!"

"Mama and I had such a great experience here on our 3-day (2-night) trip to the 龙脊 rice terraces. Cannot recommend these guys enough! They were so friendly from the start and service was AMAZING.  We got quite lucky with our room. We were able to catch the sunrise every morning coming over the “back of the dragon”. Location was great too, being not too far from the 九龙五虎 and 七星半月 observation decks. Aside from the view, the place was clean with the usual amenities. Their home-cooked Guilin specialty meals also made for great dinner. Almost everything was home grown and locally sourced, and oh so tasty!  They were also great with our check-out and send-off, helping us organise a car/driver to our next stop (Yangshou) and a little farewell token that read “ 一生平安” which translates to “a lifetime of peace and safety”. We even picked up some of their monk fruit (羅漢果) and passion fruit (百香果) before we left! Thank you for making us feel so welcome 西窗月! Highly recommend booking with them! ☺️👌🏼"

"Hotel located in the Dazhai rice terraces. Friendly and helpful owner. Free pickup from the square to the hotel. Spacious room with a balcony offering a breathtaking view. Superb breakfast offered. We didn't want to leave the village, so we had dinner at the hotel. Everything was delicious and affordable. An excellent option if you want to sleep on the rice terraces and avoid a day trip."

"The room was spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable. The balcony offered a beautiful, expansive view of the terraced fields. Breakfast was included, and we just needed to arrange lunch and dinner with the owner. They also provided shuttle service up and down the mountain, which was incredibly convenient. The service was warm and attentive. I had to go up and down the mountain several times for personal matters, and the owner was always very enthusiastic about driving me and offering assistance. Truly commendable!"

"The location is very good, right in the Zhuangjie parking lot. There is a large parking space at the door and it is free. I walked to observation decks No. 2 and No. 1 from the hotel, but you can also drive there. The scenery is good, the balcony is large, and you can see the No. 2 observation deck from the balcony. The rice noodles for breakfast are delicious, and the dishes I ordered for dinner are also good. They are not expensive and the portions are very substantial."

"Stay here. If you have travelled in China at this price point, you will know that hotels can be sorted largely into two categories: “I can’t believe that this awful place is this expensive,” and “I can’t believe that this nice of a hotel is this cheap.” This hotel fits squarely in the latter: it is exceedingly clean; the staff are very friendly; the food is good (you can have lunch or dinner here in addition to the complementary breakfast); and it is well located relative to the central village and various lookout points (it also has a nice view itself, either from its balconies, or eastwards along a small stone path through the terraces). If you are looking for a great place to stay while relaxing in Longji, look no further!"

"My stay at Tenglongge Panoramic Inn was an unforgettable package of delightful surprises and genuine warmth! First off, the location is simply unbeatable – truly the prime viewing spot for the Longji Terraces. Open your window, and you're immediately greeted by the breathtaking, undulating curves of the rice paddies. When the clouds and mist roll in, it feels like living inside a classical painting. And watching the wisps of smoke rise from the valley at dusk, time genuinely seems to slow to a crawl. The inn itself is also incredibly clean and comfortable; every nook and cranny is meticulously tidied, making it a perfectly reassuring choice for families traveling with children. The proprietress was even more heartwarming, treating us like close family. She welcomed us with hot tea the moment we arrived, enthusiastically sharing tips on the best spots for sunset views and recommending the most delicious bamboo rice. She even helped us carry our luggage all the way to our room. But what I'll truly remember for a lifetime was the 'drone scare' that evening! It was already dark, and I was trying to capture night photos of the terraced fields when I accidentally flew my drone a bit too high. With the low visibility, it crashed into the trees, and I instantly panicked. As I was squatting on the ground, frantically trying to figure out what to do, the innkeeper appeared with a flashlight and simply said, 'Come on, I'll help you find it!' It was pitch black in the mountains that night, impossible to see your hand in front of your face, and the path was incredibly steep. As we walked, a small venomous snake suddenly darted out, scaring me so much I almost screamed. But with lightning-fast reflexes, the innkeeper grabbed a branch and deftly pushed the snake away. We continued our search for nearly half an hour, stumbling through the uneven terrain, until we finally located the drone, tangled in grass and leaves within the bushes. I was overwhelmed with gratitude and relief, yet still shaking from the scare. He was drenched in sweat but kept repeating, 'As long as it's found, that's all that matters.' This wasn't just a hotel stay; it truly felt like finding kind-hearted family in the mountains! And as for the scenery? Words aren't enough – I'll just let the photos speak for themselves. After all, even a tiny glimpse through the lens is enough to linger in your memory for a long, long time. Next time I'm in Longji, I'm definitely staying here again!"

"This is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care. No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey. This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. I believe this is precisely the meaning of why we embark on journeys! I am just an ordinary traveler, and I wrote this review purely out of gratitude for the profound kindness and genuine sincerity I encountered. I generally rarely write reviews.
