"The B&B's location is fantastic, offering breathtaking views. The owner is incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. The room was clean and tidy, with excellent hot water and a well-functioning air conditioner. It's super convenient for visiting both the Thousand-Layer Terraces viewpoint and the Golden Buddha Peak viewpoint. The breakfast rice noodles were delicious, and the dinner cooked by the owner was absolutely amazing. When we left, the owner even helped carry our luggage down the mountain – it was such a heartwarming gesture."

"A lovely place for staycation. It was so serene and the view, looking at the rice terraces, replenishes one’s soul and relaxes not just your eyes but your whole body. I love the position of the bath tub overlooking the rice terraces and the nearby osmanthus trees. Morning walk along the path and seeing the ready smile of the locals was sweet. The bed and pillow are comfy and clean. Had we stayed for more than 2 nights, I would have used the washing machine in our room 😉 We had our breakfast, not much options but filling, and dinner (not included in the booking fee and the food in the menu are freshly cooked once you order) at the hotel’s restaurant. The hotel staff are accommodating. They even helped us arrange a car to bring us to and from the hotel. Free use of traditional costume for pictorial."

"The owner kindly upgraded our room, and the view was absolutely stunning! We'll definitely be back for another stay. The complimentary private round-trip transfer service from the hotel to Dazhai car park was excellent. They also provided great assistance with booking tickets, offering convenient pick-up and drop-off right at the entrance of Jinkeng Dazhai. **Cleanliness:** Spotlessly clean. They even offer a delicious rice noodle breakfast in the morning. **Facilities:** Equipped with smart home features. The bathroom was sparkling clean, and the bathtub was a huge bonus! **Service:** The transfer service was incredibly thoughtful and caring."

"Our arrival to the village was a bit difficult and we might have been a tad grumpy after having to climb up 20minutes vertically from the bus stop to the hotel with our 2 heavy suitcases, but immediately upon arrival our mood took a 360 shift. The owner was super friendly and told us that he even tried to reach us to pick us up by car but couldn’t due to our international number. We then got a room upgrade and he showed us where we can head out to see the first sights. We originally planned to stay only 1 night, but ended up loving our stay so much that we stayed an extra evening. We had a very nice European breakfast on the hotel’s beautiful view and made friends with the local cat. All the hikes and cultural experiences around were amazing, we especially liked the Dazhai-Ping’an hike, with so many amazing sights and views along the road. Was probably the most relaxing and enjoyable 3 days in our 3 week trip in south China. At the end of our stay the owner drove us down to the bus. We would absolutely love to come back and spend a full week here in any other season."

"The location of this hotel is second to none. We enjoy a 270 degree view of the beautiful scenery from our room. Hotel front counter staff are extremely helpful. 小潘 particularly gave us helpful advice on many aspects including how to navigate to some of the scenery view points. She also helped us to arrange return trip land transport between Guilin and the hotel. Additionally, her cute puppy 波波 has added to our delightful experience staying here. The gift given by the hotel when we check out and the free coffee provided during our stay are much appreciated. An improvement needed is about the bathtub drainage stopper which was malfunctioning."

"Location: The hotel is situated in Jinfoding, one of the highest areas, very close to Observation Deck No. 3. My dad and I went to watch the sunrise early in the morning, and it only took a few minutes to get there. Rooms: We were traveling with family, including children and seniors, so we booked a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite, which perfectly met our needs and made it easy to care for everyone. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and featured floor-to-ceiling windows with direct views of the terraced fields – the scenery was excellent. There was even an automatic mahjong table in the room, haha. Public Areas: The hotel has a new Chinese-style design, which is very tasteful. The first floor houses the restaurant and lobby, and the outdoor viewing platform is quite unique. Service: The owner was warm and hospitable. They contacted us multiple times via WeChat in advance to arrange pick-up and drop-off. Since it was the National Day holiday, there were many tourists going up the mountain. We drove ourselves and parked at the Dazhai car park, and the owner came down to pick us up. It was already quite late, so we pre-ordered our food on the way, and it was ready to eat as soon as we arrived at the hotel. The ingredients were excellent, and I particularly recommend the scrambled eggs – my child absolutely loved them. The owner also gave us some homemade rice wine. The service was thoughtful and attentive, and they took great care of our family, especially the children and seniors. Many thanks. Overall: Five-star review. "The room's location is great, and if you're traveling with elderly or children, you can enjoy the beautiful view from the balcony. The walk from the hotel entrance to Jinfoding (Golden Buddha Peak) is about 1.5 kilometers round trip, a short climb up the mountain. During National Day, peak season, driving to the Dazhai parking lot is difficult. There's a shuttle bus to the bus stop midway, then a 20-minute walk along the pedestrian path to the Dazhai parking lot. The owner will then pick you up by car and take you into the village. For meals, simply order from the hotel's first floor. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. The complimentary pot of glutinous rice wine was very refreshing."

"Longji Rice Terraces, a place that seems to have a built-in filter. Two days of relaxation before the harvest was so relaxing! I really have to praise the guesthouse I booked. On our first night, we were stuck in traffic and arrived more than three hours later than expected, around midnight. The landlady kept in touch with me by phone, waiting for us, and only went to rest after settling us in. It felt like having someone waiting for us at home, constantly reminding us of things – so heartwarming! The guesthouse has a fantastic location, convenient parking, and a direct view from the balcony. It's also easy to get to the various viewpoints. The owners are incredibly attentive to their guests, trying their best to meet everyone's needs, like very friendly older brothers and sisters! Actually, just staying at the guesthouse was very comfortable; we could drink tea and chat. The guesthouse has dogs, cats, and squirrels – all so adorable! And most importantly! The food at the guesthouse was delicious!! Clean and hygienic!! In short, highly recommended!!"

"This is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care. No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey. This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. I believe this is precisely the meaning of why we embark on journeys! "This guesthouse is considered one of the better ones in Jinkengzhai. The room facilities are top-notch, it's easy to find, and parking is convenient. The only downside is that during the off-season, they only offer breakfast and no other meals, but they recommended Qing Shan No. 1 for dinner, which was great. You can see the stunning thousand-layer terraces right from your room. However, there's not much else to explore in the village besides the terraces. It's not far from the cable car, and the guesthouse offers pick-up and drop-off services by car."
