"A very unique hotel consisting of several buildings. There is a dedicated large building just for the public hot spring baths, which is huge and features a wide variety of tubs. All facilities are well-equipped—highly recommended! The hotel is located right next to the Hell Valley (Jigokudani) attraction, just a few minutes' walk away. During this stay, we booked a Japanese-style room in the main building, and the entire floor has a traditional Japanese decor. It's a 10-minute walk from Noboribetsu Onbori Station to the hotel, which is a great opportunity to check out the local street shops and snap some photos at various Instagram-worthy spots along the way!"

"Facilities: Absolutely fantastic! Cleanliness: As expected from a Japanese hotel, impeccable. Ambiance: Elegant. Service: Warm and welcoming. This hotel was our first stop on our trip to Japan and it completely exceeded our expectations. Although it was a bit pricey, my family of three all agreed it was worth every penny. It honestly made all the subsequent hotels on our trip feel just 'okay' in comparison. We chose the 'one night, two meals' plan, and the D-type room came with a hot spring bath. The sushi at dinner was incredible – far better than what you'd get at a high-end restaurant in a major city (where you'd pay around 1300 JPY per person), and even better than the sushi we had in Sapporo and Tokyo. Breakfast was extensive, and the staff were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. We will definitely be back and will book the same hotel and room type again. This is the first hotel I've ever felt compelled to recommend; it's so much better than anything you'd find back home! It's rare to find a hotel that makes you want to linger and return."

"Fantastic stay! The breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh, offering both Western and Japanese options – excellent value for money. The tatami room was comfortable and cozy. The onsen (hot spring) area had an amazing number of baths, with three or four different types of indoor and outdoor springs to choose from. After a soak, I felt completely refreshed and relaxed. The sauna was clean and tidy too. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it! The street isn't long, so it's convenient to get to the bus stop from any hotel. Buses depart regularly for Noboribetsu Station."

"This onsen hotel is a bit old, and the beds are quite small—our triple room only had two very small beds. However, the staff's service was excellent! It felt just like coming home. The buffet breakfast and dinner on the second floor were both pretty good. Overall, I'm satisfied."

"We chose this onsen hotel for our trip to Noboribetsu. It's super convenient, right across from the Noboribetsu Bus Terminal once you get off the bus from Noboribetsu JR Station. We arrived quite early, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They stored our luggage, booked a private onsen for us in the evening, and even called a car to take us to the Bear Park. After our visit, we decided to walk back down, and it wasn't far from the onsen town at all. We had lunch in the onsen town before heading back to the hotel to check in. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's impeccably clean. In the afternoon, we explored Jigokudani (Hell Valley). We opted for the half-board option, and dinner was fantastic – a wide variety of seafood, steak, pasta, BBQ, pizza, and more! After dinner, we relaxed for a bit before enjoying the onsen. The night was very peaceful for sleeping. The breakfast the next day was also great, with the option to make your own seafood rice bowl. I'd definitely come back here again!"

"The onsen is located in around 1:15 taxi drive from airport, not exactly easy to get there, but it’s good. That is also one of the few onsens in the region with private onsen in the room. The rooms are large and very spacious, onsen is also on the larger side - 2 people can easily stretch the legs there. Windows can be opened and you can enjoy some view. Beware that there are smoking and not smoking rooms There was a free massage chair in our room, it was one of the fancy ones so we could warm some bones first and stretch some bones later on while you’re warmed up. 10 mins away - conbini store where life is flowing 24/7, Hells valley 10 mins away also. You can take an easy hour trail enjoying the views over nature."

"Stayed at Noboribetsu Sekisui Tei for a relaxing getaway and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel has a very traditional Japanese ryokan atmosphere, especially with the onsen facilities which were clean, spacious, and very relaxing after a long day of travelling. The location is convenient if you are visiting Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley) as it is only a short distance away. The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious, though some parts of the hotel do feel slightly dated. Staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay. The buffet breakfast and dinner had a decent variety of Japanese dishes and seafood, and the dining experience was enjoyable. One of the highlights was definitely the outdoor hot spring bath, especially during the colder weather. Very peaceful and calming experience. Overall, a good stay for anyone looking to experience a traditional onsen hotel in Noboribetsu with good service and relaxing hot springs."

"The room's location is excellent, right across from Dai-ichi Takimotokan, making it convenient for shopping and visiting Jigokudani (Hell Valley). You can also enjoy a hot spring bath at the hotel opposite, which was incredibly relaxing. The only minor point is the sulfur smell due to its proximity to Jigokudani, but we didn't mind it too much. The bakery downstairs is worth checking out. The room was clean and tidy, and we had a great stay. Noboribetsu is definitely worth a visit!"

"A wonderful hotel in Noboribetsu, highly recommended! Booking and check-in were very easy, and the staff explained everything clearly. We were given a printed sheet with dinner and breakfast times, as well as information about where everything was located. Dinner was amazing. You can choose one of three main dishes, and the meal itself is very generous. We spent almost an hour eating because there was so much food, and everything was delicious. After dinner, we went to the hanabi festival. It turned out that in summer Noboribetsu Onsen has a festival on certain days, where you can watch a beautiful demon show. It was really impressive! Breakfast was also excellent and very tasty. In addition to the main dishes, there is a self-service area where you can take extra food. The onsen was wonderful. At first, we wanted to try the private onsen, so we booked it in advance by email for 50 minutes. Inside, there are two baths, which was very nice, and one of them is outdoors. The public onsen has a similar setup, with both indoor and outdoor baths. Everything you might need is provided, including creams, lotions, foot massagers, and other amenities. The location is excellent: only about 15 minutes by bus from Noboribetsu Station. The bear park is also nearby, and Hell Valley is about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is clean, pleasant, and beautifully combines modern comfort with a traditional atmosphere. We would be very happy to come back!"

"The traditional tatami room truly impressed us, but the highlight of our stay was the open-air private sulphur onsen in our room. It was incredibly therapeutic, and I absolutely loved the natural sulphur scent that filled the space—it made the experience feel authentic and deeply relaxing. A heartfelt shoutout to the staff for their exceptional hospitality. From the warm welcome upon arrival to assisting with our luggage and thoughtfully preparing our beds, every detail was handled with care. They were genuinely kind and attentive throughout our stay. Although the hotel is quite old, we appreciated it as part of its vintage charm. It feels like a place rich with history and stories, which adds a unique character you don’t often find in modern hotels. The 7-course kaiseki dinner completely blew us away. From the exquisite plating to the impeccable service, every dish reflected the chef’s dedication and craftsmanship. Even breakfast exceeded our expectations. While described as a buffet, the beautifully presented bento-style offerings along with the comforting soup-based dishes were both satisfying and delicious. Yes, the price is on the higher side, but it is absolutely worth every penny we spent."
