Cheap Hotels in Noboribetsu

"Facilities: Absolutely fantastic! Cleanliness: As expected from a Japanese hotel, impeccable. Ambiance: Elegant. Service: Warm and welcoming. This hotel was our first stop on our trip to Japan and it completely exceeded our expectations. Although it was a bit pricey, my family of three all agreed it was worth every penny. It honestly made all the subsequent hotels on our trip feel just 'okay' in comparison. We chose the 'one night, two meals' plan, and the D-type room came with a hot spring bath. The sushi at dinner was incredible – far better than what you'd get at a high-end restaurant in a major city (where you'd pay around 1300 JPY per person), and even better than the sushi we had in Sapporo and Tokyo. Breakfast was extensive, and the staff were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. We will definitely be back and will book the same hotel and room type again. This is the first hotel I've ever felt compelled to recommend; it's so much better than anything you'd find back home! It's rare to find a hotel that makes you want to linger and return."

"Check-in was smooth and the hotel staff were welcoming! The location is great and the hotel is within walking distances to most places that you would want to visit. There is also a convenience store nearby. However, one issue we had was that the tatami room was very warm. We stayed there on 10-11 May 2026 and we had a rather difficult time sleeping at night as the room was too warm for us. Unfortunately, they seem to only have heating in the room and we were not able to open the windows either. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay!"

"Our room was spacious and a traditional Japanese tatami style. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. The beautiful lakeside setting was a definite highlight. The front desk staff were also incredibly patient and helpful, assisting us with taxi bookings. We even got to enjoy a fireworks show in the evening!"

"This was my second time visiting Jigokudani, and I chose this hotel because the dinner reviews looked good. The room was quite spacious, and the smell of sulfur was pervasive, which I actually liked! The baths were excellent, all sulfur springs, and it was great that they provided towels. You can also use the baths at the neighboring hotel, Ayatei. Dinner was indeed good, with ingredients and cooking methods both above average. Breakfast was also decent; in addition to Japanese breakfast, there was a Western selection, which offered more flexibility. It's very close to the onsen town, so it's convenient for exploring Jigokudani or visiting convenience stores. I experienced an earthquake right before check-out!"

"Really enjoyed my stay here! Loved the room, the service and the wide range of amenities here. Brought my mom here for a relaxing day and I think she really enjoyed it! My favourite part of staying here is definitely the onsen! It's separated into male and female sections, and for the female section it had a multiple (10-ish?) indoor pools and 4 outdoor pools. I personally didn't really enjoy the indoor onsen as the air just felt so warm, but I really enjoyed the outdoor onsen! You can even order drinks like sake to enjoy as you soak in the onsen. One thing to note is that the female onsen does not have a view overlooking the hell valley, which believe can be seen in the male section... but I later discovered that in the swimming pool section, there's this outdoor area with a jacuzzi that overlooks the hell valley!! So that made up for it hahha. Anws, the hotel was also a walking distance to all the key attractions, which was really convenient! One last thing to note is that most restaurants in and outside of the hotel closes for break at 3pm, so you may want to come earlier to check in or eat lunch before checking in at 2pm, or else you will run in the same issue as we did, which was not being able to find FOOD and the only restaurants that were open were slow and overpriced... anw still highly recommend this place :)"

"The ryokan was quite charming with lots of Japanese accents and architectural details. We signed up for one traditional breakfast and loved the experience. We loved the yukata outfits provided to schlep around the ryokan or even around town. The location was a bit of a walk going to the business/food/shop road but this only got a bit inconvenient when we had to drag our suitcases for about 10 minutes getting to the bus stop on our way back to the train station... thank goodness it was downhill all the way! Noboribetsu Onsen was a really cool place to visit!"

Thank you. However, there is a small incident. On the same day of placing the wrong order, I visited to communicate whether I could add more meals, but the restaurant replied that no, including the brunch on the next day could not be added, which was very inconvenient. 环境：The view from the big window is beautiful."

"Stayed at Noboribetsu Sekisui Tei for a relaxing getaway and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel has a very traditional Japanese ryokan atmosphere, especially with the onsen facilities which were clean, spacious, and very relaxing after a long day of travelling. The location is convenient if you are visiting Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley) as it is only a short distance away. The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious, though some parts of the hotel do feel slightly dated. Staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay. The buffet breakfast and dinner had a decent variety of Japanese dishes and seafood, and the dining experience was enjoyable. One of the highlights was definitely the outdoor hot spring bath, especially during the colder weather. Very peaceful and calming experience. Overall, a good stay for anyone looking to experience a traditional onsen hotel in Noboribetsu with good service and relaxing hot springs."

"Yumoto Onsen is a very good place to relax, with a nice location surrounded by nature. The area is quiet and peaceful, perfect for people who want to escape busy tourist spots. It sits in the mountains near Lake Yunoko, giving beautiful scenery in every season. The hot spring itself is excellent, with natural sulfur water that feels very relaxing after a long day. Many ryokan offer traditional Japanese rooms and authentic meals, making the stay more special. Overall, Yumoto Onsen is a good choice if you like calm atmosphere, fresh air, and scenic views. It may not have many shops or entertainment, but that is part of its charm."

"We chose this onsen hotel for our trip to Noboribetsu. It's super convenient, right across from the Noboribetsu Bus Terminal once you get off the bus from Noboribetsu JR Station. We arrived quite early, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They stored our luggage, booked a private onsen for us in the evening, and even called a car to take us to the Bear Park. After our visit, we decided to walk back down, and it wasn't far from the onsen town at all. We had lunch in the onsen town before heading back to the hotel to check in. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's impeccably clean. In the afternoon, we explored Jigokudani (Hell Valley). We opted for the half-board option, and dinner was fantastic – a wide variety of seafood, steak, pasta, BBQ, pizza, and more! After dinner, we relaxed for a bit before enjoying the onsen. The night was very peaceful for sleeping. The breakfast the next day was also great, with the option to make your own seafood rice bowl. I'd definitely come back here again!"
