Staying at the Xi Shi Jin She Hotel was an incredibly healing experience amidst the beautiful landscapes of Yangshuo. The hotel is located right by the Yulong River, and with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you're greeted by stunning karst peaks, with bamboo rafts slowly gliding by on the river – it feels like living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. The room was clean and tidy, the toiletries were of excellent quality, and the facilities were exquisite and comprehensive. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles for breakfast were fresh and delicious. The rooftop infinity pool offered amazing photo opportunities. It's also super convenient for visiting the Ten-Mile Gallery. This is definitely my top choice for a stay in Yangshuo, a perfect experience!

This hotel exceeded our expectations on a return visit. The views from the window were stunning, surrounded by mountains and water. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the staff were polite and enthusiastic. There's a pool in the courtyard for kids to play in, and the facilities are comprehensive, including a washing machine, dryer, and a drying area.

Every member of the team was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely cared about every guest. We even spoke with several other guests, and everyone agreed—this hotel far exceeded all expectations. 🏔️ Rooms & Views Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to the breathtaking mountain views every morning was unforgettable. 🎭 Activities Included There are so many activities that we simply didn’t have enough time to try everything! We especially loved the complimentary traditional Chinese photoshoot (including 3 professionally edited photos) and the traditional cormorant fishing demonstration. 🍕 Restaurant & Breakfast The restaurant was amazing. Alongside delicious Chinese cuisine, it also serves excellent European food. After weeks of traveling, our kids were craving familiar meals, and the truffle pizza, truffle pasta, and Margherita pizza were absolutely incredible. 😍 Breakfast was equally impressive, with a fantastic selection of hot dishes, fresh fruit, pastries, desserts, and drinks—all with spectacular mountain views. 👨👩👧👦 Perfect for Families A large kids’ playroom, a beautiful swimming pool with a children’s area, and plenty of space for families. Our kids absolutely loved it. 🏋️ Extra Amenities The hotel also has a laundry room and a small gym, which are especially convenient for longer stays. ☕ Don’t Miss the Second Hotel The hotel has a second property just 300 meters away, connected by a complimentary shuttle. We highly recommend visiting it for a coffee on the terrace overlooking the river and mountains. 📸 Please note: All of the river-view photos in this review were taken at the hotel’s second property. ❤️ Everything about this place—the scenery, the atmosphere, the activities, and most importantly, the incredible people—made our stay unforgettable. A wonderful family hotel with spacious rooms, a pool and a very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed here as a family with children and really enjoyed our time. In Yangshuo, many hotels have beautiful mountain views, but this hotel stands out because it is not only scenic, but also very quiet, peaceful and comfortable inside. For us, this was a huge advantage. This is a warm family-style hotel where you feel that the owners truly care about every guest. The hostess was always nearby and personally paid attention to the quality of service. The staff were very friendly, polite and always ready to help. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was done on time, and everything felt well maintained. For this level of room, the price was very reasonable, which makes the hotel a very good value for money. Another big plus is the swimming pool. For a family trip, especially with children, having a pool at the hotel is a real advantage compared with many other hotels in the area. One of the nicest details was the afternoon tea with sweets — it made the stay feel even more welcoming and personal. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing, which is exactly what you need in the mountains. The garden, the views, the fresh air and the peaceful environment helped us rest properly. The night before, we stayed in another hotel where it was noisy and uncomfortable because of construction nearby, so here we especially appreciated the silence, cleanliness and comfort. We finally had a proper rest. This hotel is a great choice for families, for people travelling with children, and for anyone who wants a quiet and cozy place surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We left with very warm impressions and would be happy to come back again. Highly recommended. В Яншо, как мы поняли, у многих отелей есть красивые виды на горы, но большое преимущество именно этого отеля в том, что здесь не только красиво, но ещё и очень тихо, спокойно и комфортно внутри. Для нас это было огромным плюсом. Это уютный семейный отель, где чувствуется настоящая забота о гостях. Хозяйка всегда была рядом и лично контролировала качество обслуживания. Персонал очень доброжелательный, вежливый, всегда старался помочь и сделать проживание максимально комфортным. Номер был очень просторный, чистый и удобный. Уборка проводилась вовремя, всё было аккуратно и приятно. Для такого уровня номера цена, на наш взгляд, очень недорогая, поэтому соотношение цены и качества здесь отличное. Отдельный большой плюс — наличие бассейна. Для семейной поездки, особенно с детьми, это действительно важное преимущество по сравнению со многими другими отелями в этом районе. Также нам очень понравились приятные детали: послеобеденный чай со сладостями, зелёный двор, красивые виды, свежий воздух и общая спокойная атмосфера. В горах именно такой отдых особенно ценен — здесь можно по-настоящему расслабиться и восстановиться. Ночь до этого мы провели в другом отеле, где рядом шла стройка, было шумно и душно. Поэтому здесь мы особенно оценили тишину, чистоту и комфорт. Мы наконец-то хорошо отдохнули. Отель отлично подойдёт для семей с детьми и для тех, кто ищет не шумное место, а спокойный, уютный отдых среди красивой природы. У нас остались очень тёплые впечатления, с удовольствием вернулись бы снова. Очень рекомендуем.

Before we even arrived, the butler reached out via Wechat and helped us organize everything. She got us discounted tickets, took us to the locations, and solved everything promptly. For foreigners, this is especially useful as the location is a bit remote and information can be hard for find. Thank you Viv and Yalina! The hotel is beautiful, divided into 8 buildings, but drivers are allocated to help move around and also into the city for free. They also help with booking taxis if you get stuck (like we did after Ruyi peak when we couldn’t get Didis anymore) The pool is nothing extra however. You can take nice pictures, but that’s it. The laundry ‘room’ is basically two machines in a tight space, not at all on level with the rest of the establishment. The photography session is a nice add-on, because it wouldn’t be worth the money 😅 The props are old and weird, not exactly resembling the aesthetic pictures you see online. The ladder to heaven has paint peeling left and right and the Hobbit houses had some brightly coloured dolls in front.

Five-star review | Family stay experience at Sugar House Yangshuo ✨ Our family of three chose Sugar House for our trip, and the overall experience was perfect, highly recommended for families with kids! The hotel, a renovated old sugar mill, blends industrial architecture with the stunning Guilin landscape, creating an incredible atmosphere where every photo looks like a masterpiece. The room was spacious and clean, with a great view from the balcony. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, responding quickly to any issues. We even received complimentary welcome fruit upon check-in – the attention to detail was excellent. I have to rave about the two activities our child loved the most! The infinity pool had clean water and was backed by the karst mountains, making splashing around incredibly fun. Adults could also relax and enjoy the scenery. Then there was the delightful 'hanging basket snack' activity: when the rattle drum sounded, we'd lower the bamboo basket from our balcony and receive a basket full of snacks. Our child absolutely loved it and was always excited for this part, which felt fresh and new every time. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, and the Guilin rice noodles were authentic and delicious. The hotel's public areas were beautiful, and there were several family-friendly activities, so we didn't need to go far to have a fulfilling time. It truly felt like a vacation, and I highly recommend it for families. We'll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tui Blue. It’s out of the hustle and bustle of West street, but only a 12yen didi there. The views are stunning, including of the romance park across the street. Front desk staff were so kind. Breakfast every morning had both Chinese and western options, including fresh noodles being made to order. This hotel takes great pride in their cleanliness and design. Room was amazing. Great views. Great air conditioning. Very comfortable bed. Great water pressure from the shower. Free mini fridge for the first round of drinks, and tea and coffee in the room. Our few things where we would recommend improvements to the hotel: - There was no working AC in the gym. - Gym should have some lighter weights too. - Gym needs a mirror. - Pool towels should be available by the pool. (Unsure if they normally are.. we went out in the rain so possibly during sun they have these readily available). - some small things need to be maintained. (Gym wall leak with mold present, painting around windows peeling off, outdoor plant maintenance, pool tidy of chairs and ensure pool inflatables are actually blown up.These small things aren’t really noticed by everybody, however as a travel agent myself it is what sets luxury hotels apart from others). Overall a really great stay. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at New West Street International Hotel for total of 10 nights as we accompanied our child at a nearby Chinese school in the summer. This extended time gave us the opportunity to really got to experience the hotel facilities, the food, and the service.  First the location.The actual location is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the actual West Street. To us, the distance is actually a good thing. Food, shops, and amenities at West Street are overly tailored for tourists. The hotel location is quiet and peaceful. Nearby are many local restaurants and shops that we much preferred. In fact, we found ourselves walking away from the West Street direction to get some great local foods everyday of our stay. That said, the hotel offers an excellent shuttle service beginning at 3:30pm until late at night if that's what you are into.  Second, the hotel building itself is in excellent condition. It appears many of the facilities and rooms were recently renovated. The lobby is open and airy and makes a comfortable gathering spot for us to meet our friends before heading out. The hotel sometimes accommodates tour groups. Even when we see as many as three tour buses parked in the back, the hotel does not feel congested nor noisy. The room itself is tastefully updated with a large flat screen TV, USB-C chargers, and automated curtains. The beds were comfortable and our balcony room faced a beautiful karst mountain and a nearby pond. The room appears to have great noisy insulation. We did not hear our neighbors like we did in other Chinese hotels. Third, the place is always clean. We see staff cleaning public areas all the time, wiping down handrails, elevator buttons, countertops. etc. As for our room, the home keeper always kept it clean and orderly. We had some problems with smell the first day. A housekeeper came and troubleshoot the problem to durian smell in the mini-fridge. Not only did she wipe it down, but even without us asking, the later came back with another mini-fridge to make sure no smell was left. That really made an impression on us. Next, the staff. Everyone we encountered was always friendly and greeted us. From the cleaning staff to the front desk reception to the restaurant waiters. Everyone was friendly. We can only speak limited mandarin but the staff still talked to us best they could in English. Rachel, the manager on site, was especially friendly to make sure we got everything we needed. She understands we were staying for an extended period of time so she was always asking what can be improved for our long stay. The hotel added us to WeChat where they respond quickly to all the typical requests like room service to sending us extra water. I wish more hotels do this.  Finally, the facilities. We used the laundry room daily. There are 5 washers and 3 dryers by my count. Most of the time, I can find an empty machine to wash my laundry. Mornings are best for doing laundry. After dinner time is the busiest time. We occasionally had to take out other people's laundry that were just sitting there but it's rare. The pool is large, warm, and clean. The shallow end is perfect for kids or just wading around. The deep end is 1.7M deep so it's plenty for actual swimming. We also used the on-site travel agent to book a private transfer to the Guilin high speed station. Rachel happened to be nearby when we did this and she helped with some translation with the agent and it was very appreciated. The restaurant was large and there was always space for us to sit even when there are large tour groups. It offers mainly Chinese options but also have some Western items. Food was abundant and delicious. The Guilin rice noodles in the back is tasty and the broth is excellent. The only thing is the coffee could be a little bit better! We loved our stay at the New West Street International Hotel and would not hesitate to go back next time we visit Yangshuo. 

The indoor afternoon tea area has an amazing ambiance; every photo taken there is a masterpiece 📷✨. The hotel also features a kids' playground 🎠 and an outdoor pool 🏊, making it easy to keep the little ones entertained. The rooms are clean and tidy with excellent attention to detail 🏠. The breakfast buffet offers great quality, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles taste superb 🍜. A good breakfast sets you up perfectly for the day ahead. Located by the Li River, with smooth access to the underground parking. It's also very close to the commercial district, making dining and getting around super convenient. Again, the rooms are clean and tidy with great attention to detail. The breakfast buffet is high quality, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles are truly delicious.

Traveling with my little one, we were so lucky to stay at this B&B—I absolutely have to give it a huge thumbs-up! First off, the environment is absolutely stunning. As soon as we walked in, we were captivated by the courtyard. The flowers and plants are meticulously trimmed yet maintain a natural, wild charm. After the rain, the air was incredibly fresh, like it had been washed clean. Sitting in the yard with a cup of tea, time just seemed to slow down. The rooms also have a lovely natural wood style, cozy yet sophisticated, exactly like the pictures. Then there's the cleanliness – as a germaphobe, I was thoroughly impressed. The room was spotless, the floors were so clean you could walk barefoot, the bedding smelled of sunshine, and the bathroom was free of any water stains or odors. Traveling with a baby, I'm extra sensitive to cleanliness, and this place put my mind completely at ease. Most importantly, the family-friendly service is incredibly thoughtful! The owner clearly understands what kids need. They had already prepared children's toothbrushes and slippers for us in advance, and even thoughtfully provided a bed rail, which made us feel much more secure at night. The common area had picture books and building blocks, and my baby had a blast, too busy playing to fuss. They even prepared soft, sticky porridge and small steamed buns specifically for my child's breakfast.
