The moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The room decor was cozy and clean, and the bedding was soft, making it incredibly relaxing to lie down after a busy day.\n The biggest surprise at the guesthouse was the array of small animals in the courtyard. There were groups of adorable cats, each with its own charm, who would actively come over to rub against you and ask for pets. There was also a well-behaved, affectionate dog. Yici321On my first day in Yangshuo, I checked into the Zaishui Yifang Resort Hotel.
As soon as I entered the room, I was deeply captivated. The room design was stunning, and the view outside the window was breathtaking. With two large floor-to-ceiling windows, I could open the curtains and enjoy the mountains of Yangshuo and the blue sky. The combination of green and blue created a powerful visual impact.
The room decor was in a natural wood style, making it feel particularly cozy and homey. Amenities like the bathtub, toilet, and automatic curtains were all well-equipped.
The bed was also very soft, and there was a tea room where I could relax and enjoy tea. The vanity area had two mirrors and two sinks, making it very convenient for two people to get ready.
The hotel also offers an outdoor pool, right beside the scenic mountains and rivers of Yangshuo. Swimming here was incredibly enjoyable. My friend and I swam here in the evening, admiring the scenery – it was a truly unforgettable memory.
The next morning, there was a rich and delicious breakfast, and the breakfast area had a great atmosphere as well.

Guest UserThis guesthouse, or 'minsu' as they call it, actually surpasses many mid-to-low tier chain hotels. They offer free breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening desserts, and while the selection isn't huge, it's pretty decent. The laundry room is incredibly well-equipped; there are two of them on-site with plenty of washing machines and dryers, which is super convenient for long trips. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of a brush in the laundry sink. They've also thought of many thoughtful little details, like bags for clothes, disposable and regular slippers, conditioner in the bathroom, earplugs, unlimited bottled water, and even a tip in the room advising guests that they can hang clothes near the air vent. The hotel also sends daily WeChat reminders about meal times and asks if I want my room cleaned (though this is standard for chain hotels, I've stayed in guesthouses that don't clean your room during extended stays). All in all, it's better than many big-name hotels; I even asked the front desk if it was a chain hotel! The only slight downside might be that they don't offer a shuttle service in Yangshuo city, but taxis are very convenient and quite affordable. There's also a place to see lotus flowers nearby, but the water level was high these past two days, so I couldn't enjoy that.

Guest UserHidden deep within the Ten-Mile Gallery, this hotel completely isolates itself from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The sense of escapism, in my opinion, is almost comparable to the Lux* Chongzuo, making for a truly satisfying vacation. As a well-established luxury brand originating from Indonesia, it's impressive how it has rooted itself amidst the natural beauty of Yangshuo while still deeply preserving its Indonesian heritage. For instance, the breakfast features an Indonesian-style set menu, all freshly prepared à la carte. The guest room walls are adorned with traditional Balinese Ubud Batik wax paintings. During turndown service at night, candles are lit to warm aromatic essential oils, replicating the local Balinese pre-sleep ritual. The pool is paved with unique Indonesian stone, appearing grey when dry but revealing a beautiful blue-green hue when submerged in water.
The hotel's service and quality are exceptional: the butler's WhatsApp replies were prompt, and despite the high greenery coverage, I wasn't bitten by a single mosquito during my two-day stay, indicating excellent pest control. The 450 sqm single-bedroom standalone villa is spacious, and the private pool is ample in both size and depth. Amenities include Cha Ling toiletries, a brand under LV, and the rooms are equipped with Bose speakers and Laifen hair dryers, ensuring top-notch hardware. It's rare for a hotel to maintain its original quality and standards after many years of operation, unlike many domestic hotels that gradually cut costs and downgrade after just a year or two. If you're looking for an immersive escape into nature in Yangshuo, I truly believe this place is worth a special trip. At the very least, if I get another chance to visit Yangshuo, this will still be my go-to resort for a second stay.

zhuyamartinYangshuo Sugarhouse has always been a hotel I've wanted to visit, and a serendipitous opportunity finally brought me here, marking my first trip to Yangshuo. True to its pictures, it's exactly as you've seen it. Admittedly, it's no longer a new hotel, and I had some reservations beforehand, as similar-priced hotels in the same category might offer larger, more luxurious options. However, for design enthusiasts, Sugarhouse is special; it's a destination in itself.
My first impression was that the hotel is reasonably well-maintained, and the service is always pleasant and attentive. I always assumed these were standard expectations in such hotels, not worth mentioning. Yet, it wasn't until I truly experienced the various facets of Yangshuo that I realized Sugarhouse is an oasis in this bustling, chaotic, and often less-than-pleasant destination. Yangshuo is beautiful, but its natural charm isn't always enough to offset some disappointing tourist experiences. You might exert a lot of effort trying to soak in the legendary landscapes, only to be left unsatisfied, perhaps due to early mornings or overwhelming crowds. But at Sugarhouse, you can intimately connect with Yangshuo's mountains and rivers, as they are right outside your room, beyond the iconic pool view. During the day, you can fully immerse yourself in nature undisturbed, and as dusk falls, the lights of Impression Liu Sanjie illuminate them, making you a part of the landscape. Finding such tranquility in this destination is incredibly precious, a realization I only had after switching to other hotels.
The service here carries a hint of genuine, endearing awkwardness, and you can sense that achieving this level of service isn't easy. The bartender at 1969 Bar recommended a special concoction when I was indecisive, allowing me to savor the last season's season of loquat gin, which was unforgettable. Lucy at the front desk was incredibly helpful in resolving my issues, and when I pointed out some minor flaws in the room, they were already being addressed – truly tiny details that not everyone would notice, demonstrating their genuine care for guests. I met a gentleman at breakfast who enthusiastically and meticulously introduced me to oil tea and proactively helped me carry it to my upstairs seat when my hands were full. On my departure day, I even saw him standing at the lobby entrance at 36 degrees Celsius, assisting guests. Later, I learned he was the hotel's general manager. The people here are sincere and responsible, and what initially felt like minor imperfections transformed into a stark difference after comparison. I can give the experience here full marks.
Some friends might find it too boring, with too many cars on the highway outside the rooms. But if you've experienced the endless swarm of electric scooters, the ubiquitous paid parking lots, and the so-called villas that cost 3,000 yuan with no view whatsoever, you'll realize that not only is the pricing here quite fair, but it's also almost the only viable accommodation option in Yangshuo. Of course, this is just for reference if you don't plan on venturing out, but Sugarhouse still offers many interesting services that make it a highly recommendable choice.

YangJing318The room was spacious and the location was super convenient. It's really close to Ten-Mile Gallery and Guilin Romance Park. Plus, it's right by West Street but surprisingly quiet. You can easily rent an electric scooter to explore all of Yangshuo! Oh, and the plums at the hotel were delicious 😋. The front desk staff, both the guys and the girls, were incredibly helpful and friendly, giving great recommendations for sightseeing routes. Yangshuo's scenery is just breathtaking!

This is the best hotel in Yangshuo. Compared to The Sugarcane, VOCO, Hwa Peng, and Banyan Tree, it offers the best value for money. The staff are well-trained and provide genuine assistance. Even after checking out, they continued to answer all our questions about our itinerary.
We stayed in the Jingxuan Villa, which was comfortably sized with excellent facilities. The nightly turndown gifts were a lovely touch. The travel photography service was also good, and the photographer had a great attitude. The entire garden landscape is beautifully maintained, and the various small animals like peacocks, geese, ducks, goldfish, and alpacas provided a wonderful and relaxing experience for guests.
If you're driving, the hotel's location isn't remote at all. It's about a 20-minute drive to the Ten-Mile Gallery, and also 20 minutes to take a bamboo raft on the Yulong River. Xingping Ancient Town Pier is only half an hour away. Personally, I think it's far superior to the guesthouses near the Ten-Mile Gallery and Yulong River – there's simply no comparison.
We had a wonderful two-night, three-day stay. It left a deep impression on our trip to Yangshuo.

Baitaoqipaoshui📍 **Great Location, Yet Peaceful**
The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from West Street, but surprisingly quiet. It was a really comfortable stay.

Arandor Hotel offers excellent value for money overall. The two buildings are cleverly laid out, and it's just a 50-meter walk to the lively main street. Right outside, you'll find a variety of delicious food options like Master Fu Beer Fish, authentic Guilin rice noodles, and Guming bubble tea.
The hotel features an outdoor pool, and their e-scooter rentals are very reasonably priced, making it super convenient to explore the surrounding attractions. The biggest surprise was the hotel's exclusive observation deck on the 8th floor. The views are absolutely stunning, offering a panoramic sight of the karst peaks and picturesque landscapes. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves photography; the atmosphere is truly enchanting.
The staff are very responsive and resolve any issues promptly and efficiently. Afternoon tea includes local specialty snacks, and the lobby offers free, refreshing Luo Han Guo (monk fruit) water all day. The only minor drawback is that with the recent heavy rains in Yangshuo, the room felt a bit damp. It would be even more perfect if the rooms were equipped with refrigerators. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Yangshuo!

Jess and familyUnbeatable location, but seriously disappointing when things went wrong
Let's start with the biggest win: this hotel is smack-dab in the middle of absolutely everything! You literally cannot ask for a better spot – walking distance to all the main attractions, restaurants, and transport. For location, it gets a perfect 10/10.
Now for the tough part. We had the really bad luck that the hotel experienced a major water supply issue during our stay. And I mean major – we couldn't use the toilet, take a shower, or even wash our hands. For any traveler, that's a complete nightmare and honestly unacceptable for a hotel stay.
To give them some credit, the hotel did try to smooth things over by offering our entire family free breakfast as compensation. While the gesture was nice, I have to be blunt: free breakfast just doesn't cut it when you can't perform basic daily necessities. For the level of inconvenience we endured – not being able to shower or flush the toilet – the hotel should have offered a much more appropriate solution, such as a partial refund for the affected night(s).
My verdict?
Book this place for the incredible location – you won't beat it. But my strong advice is: if anything major goes wrong during your stay, don't settle for a free meal. Push for proper financial compensation, because a few croissants and coffee simply don't make up for not having running water.
Great spot, but they really need to step up their customer service game when serious issues arise!
