"The hotel had a great location and the staff were very friendly. I could accept the interior cleaning every two days. However, the most significant drawback was that on the last day, check-out was at 11:00 AM. At 10:30 AM, I was changing in the living room when the cleaning staff walked right in. This startled me greatly, and I immediately and angrily told him it wasn't check-out time yet. This was truly the only minor flaw of the four nights."

"The hotel is very new with top-notch facilities and spacious rooms. The service during check-in was just average, but the staff were very friendly during check-out. I hope the service can be more consistent. Also, the hotel windows need a good cleaning; the view outside is beautiful, but the dirty glass really spoils the experience."

This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Although the rooftop swimming pool is not big, the view is great. There are buildings under construction around, so the environment is a bit noisy, but the working hours on Australian construction sites are short, so most of the time it does not affect the stay experience. Upgraded to a terrace room, the room is spacious and the hygiene is very good, in line with InterContinental's consistent standards. The location is not far from Sydney's major attractions, but there is no public transportation. It is recommended to take a taxi or Uber. Double Bay, where the hotel is located, is a high-end residential area. The nearby beaches and commercial areas are worth a visit. Overall, it is recommended, especially if you are not in a hurry or have already visited Sydney's major attractions, you can stay here for a while."

Hotel near Darling Harbour,Sydney

"First off, this was our second hotel in Sydney; the first was the Shangri-La. (It was clear they didn't offer Chinese-speaking services there.) We booked a king room but were given a twin room, and it was a corner unit with no sunlight. After communicating in English, we were able to switch to a room with some natural light. Secondly, this isn't a grand hotel in the traditional sense. It's a small annex on the side of a larger building, and the hotel only occupies a few floors (up to the 9th). This means the room layout is U-shaped with narrow corridors. Because the main building has dozens of floors, and the hotel is located at an intersection surrounded by other tall buildings, most rooms don't have expansive views, and the lighting isn't great either (this really can't compare to the Shangri-La, which has amazing views and a very therapeutic outlook from the window). The room size also isn't as good as the Shangri-La, but it does have its advantages. This hotel is very close to Chinatown; it would probably take 25 minutes to walk from the Shangri-La, whereas it's only a 10-minute walk from here. Another plus is that the hotel facilities are very new, which my partner was quite happy with. However, I would still choose the Shangri-La next time."

"This hotel is pretty good overall. The lobby has a great vibe, much better decorated than many places that claim to be 5-star. The surrounding area is really nice; Darling Harbour is right downstairs, and it's a quick walk to Chinatown. Plus, the neighborhood feels safe and not chaotic, so I think it offers great value for money. In Australia, you always have to ask for toothbrushes and slippers, which can be a bit of a hassle, but generally speaking, it was a good stay. The bed was notably larger than many other hotels, which was a real plus. One odd thing, though, is that there wasn't a weighing scale, which is unusual as even four-star hotels usually provide one."
