"Really, really enjoyed my stay. The host is extremely kind and helpful. They brought to some local trails and offered to take me to the bus station whenever I needed. The tea is delicious and I really enjoyed my stay and the surrounding area. One of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in Taiwan."

"The service was exceptional! On the day my girlfriend and I were checking out, we wanted to spend a bit more time exploring Alishan National Scenic Area before catching our train down the mountain. Before we even had a chance to ask, the staff at the front desk proactively offered to deliver our luggage directly to the train station, saving us the trip back to the hotel. This level of service was incredibly thoughtful! The hotel's shuttle arrived at the station at 11:30 AM, just as we were returning from exploring Zhaoping Park. We were able to board our 11:50 AM train down the mountain effortlessly. We're truly grateful for the hotel staff's incredible help!"

"Environment is peaceful and suitable for people who drive because it's quite far away from Taiping Bridge and not accessible by public transport. So we ended with plenty of time after arrival. So we engaged a private car to chauffeur us the next day for NT3500 from Minsu to Taiping Bridge (too misty to see anything), then had lunch at Fenqihu and finally stopped at Alishan hotel. We should have stuck to original plan to just go Fenqihu for NT1000 transport fare and stay there for a night because when we reached Alishan, it was near 3:30p.m., there's not much time for us to roam the place due to the gloomy weather and heavy mist."

It's about 6-10 minutes' walk from the fish market. It's also super convenient for eating. In the evening, I took a walk to the High Heels Church! It feels very laid back!"

"We drove here. The proprietress was very friendly and gave us advice on which route to take to Alishan that would be easier, as we hadn't really done our homework 😂. The B&B also includes breakfast and has many adorable cats! 😍
We stayed in a double room. Since it's a wooden cabin, you can somewhat hear sounds from the next room, but everyone seemed to go to bed around 10:30-11:30 PM (I assume, because it suddenly became quiet). That's probably because everyone was planning to watch the sunrise the next day. Oh, and if you want to watch the sunrise, the proprietress will tell you where the good spots are, and they're not far at all."

"I am very satisfied. I stay here almost every month. But this is the first time I booked using the trip.com app. When I checked in, the receptionist looked confused when I said that I had booked through the app. I waited for about 20 minutes outside before I could enter. But because I am used to staying here, I didn't mind. I added 2 hours, but the voucher cannot be used on the app and for additional time. So my voucher from last month was wasted. But it's okay, I really enjoyed my break."

The shuttle service to visitor centre was very frequent and Hotel staff were very helpful and obliging. It's a good location and starting point fior the forest trail walk. SSONMOTThe place is on top of a small slope. Its environment is calm and peaceful. Room is clean, water pressure is strong. One can sit outside the room looking out to the far mountains. Breakfast is nice especially the sofa bean drink. It is near to a bus stop and also near a convenient store. It is also convenient to watch the sunrise a short distance away from the place. Would go back to stay if there is opportunity. Thanks for hosting us.

The staff are friendly and courteous, enthusiastically recommending nearby restaurants. The hotel has complete facilities, a variety of affordable dining options, and an exceptionally clean outdoor swimming pool with views of the Southern Branch. Today, March 17th, the lifeguards were very friendly and chatted with guests, making us feel right at home. This stay was truly memorable and will be our only choice for accommodation when visiting Chiayi...

It seems like because they are practicing to be environmental friendly to produce less throwaways. The electrically heated bed is useful when visiting Alishan during cold season or colder period.

GGuest UserI chose this place because of its location right in Fenqihu Old Street, making shopping and exploring easy. It's also super convenient for hitting the nearby walking trails. There's no dedicated parking, but on weekdays, it was a breeze to snag a free roadside spot nearby. Weekends would be a different story though; if you don't arrive before 9 AM, you're out of luck even if you're willing to pay.
The room facilities are a bit dated, and there's no air conditioning, just an external exhaust fan for ventilation. I imagine it would be quite uncomfortable in the summer, but thankfully, the April nights were still very pleasant. My baby absolutely loved the tatami room, with all that open space to crawl around freely and happily.

The B&B's location is quite close to two train stations, and there's also a walking trail nearby where you can watch the sunrise and sunset. The owner was incredibly friendly and gave us lots of great suggestions for our itinerary. We enjoyed their prepared breakfast on the balcony, and their tea was especially fragrant.

VVincentThe hotel is located about an hour's drive up the mountain. On clear days, it's incredibly convenient to watch the sunrise directly from your room. While it may not be the iconic sunrise near Yushan Main Peak (often referred to as the Alishan sunrise), the viewing experience here is still wonderful. The other hotel facilities were standard.

GGuest UserAfter reading other reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. The pros are its excellent location, just a 5-7 minute walk to Alishan Railway Station. There's parking right in front, which is great for those driving. The breakfast restaurant they partner with is also really good! 👍👍👍 The downside is the poor soundproofing; you occasionally hear footsteps or people talking. However, since I was so tired, I fell asleep quickly, so it didn't bother me much. 🤣🤣🤣

One drink per person and a large portion of small cakes. It is really excellent. Highly recommend.... The room is large and clean. The sauna equipment is old, the pool is a little dirty, the spa is broken, and the oven and steam room are not open. It would be better if it could be tidied up a little! The swimming pool is large and small, and the spa water is not deep. The spa is great for adults and children to play in, and the scenery is beautiful. Although the breakfast is not very rich, it has everything you need. It even provides beef soup, which is a plus because it is not available during renovations. Concert, looking forward to staying again after renovations to experience a different holiday atmosphere

GGuest UserThe hotel's hygiene was pretty good; I didn't notice any dirty spots, and the duvet in the room was comfortable and warm. However, the soundproofing in the room was really bad. I could hear everything from the toilet flushing next door to people showering and even sneezing 😂. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. It's situated lower down among a cluster of hotels and is the furthest from Alishan Station. Getting there involves walking down stairs or a slope, which means every time you go from the hotel to the station or out for a meal, you have to walk uphill, which is quite tiring 😂. Also, there's no elevator, and even though it's only three stories high, those with large luggage should be aware.

SStrongzhongThe hotel is in a tourist community next to the visitor center, just a few minutes down the steps. It's also close to the amusement park shuttle bus terminal, the shopping street, and the small train station – the location is absolutely fantastic. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom had a Japanese-style tub. The decor and facilities felt quite old-fashioned. What was unacceptable was that the WiFi on the fifth floor didn't work at all. I could only pick up a signal from the second or third floor, but even then, I couldn't get online. I informed the front desk, but the person who came couldn't fix it either.
