Chiayi County Hotels with Wifi

The hotel is located near the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum. Some rooms offer views of the Southern Branch. The staff are friendly and courteous, enthusiastically recommending nearby restaurants. The hotel has complete facilities, a variety of affordable dining options, and an exceptionally clean outdoor swimming pool with views of the Southern Branch. Today, March 17th, the lifeguards were very friendly and chatted with guests, making us feel right at home. This stay was truly memorable and will be our only choice for accommodation when visiting Chiayi...

From the moment we checked in, we felt such warm and friendly hospitality ☺️. The room view was absolutely beautiful~ We especially loved the room's balcony, where we could listen to the birds, gaze at the lush tea plantations, and enjoy some wine with friends while waiting for dusk to arrive – it was incredibly relaxing ❤️❤️❤️. The room was very clean, and the bed was extra large and super comfortable~ Especially the breakfast included with the stay; it was a very traditional ********* congee that made us exclaim how much we missed it! It tasted just like Grandma's cooking from childhood~ Everything was so satisfying. Thank you to everyone at 'Palms Clap' and the staff ❤️❤️❤️ We will definitely be back!

Going to Alishan -> Where's the Alishan Hotel? -> Why is the hotel so cheap today? Following this stream of consciousness, I planned my trip around that one strangely cheap day for a hotel, which ended up being a trip to Taichung. There were many reviews, but the location is great, and the view is absolutely fantastic. They even posted the sunrise train schedule for Chaoping Station and the sunrise time in the hotel lobby. There's also a round-trip shuttle to the Alishan Information Center. The hotel room was clean, and they informed me that hot water would be available until midnight, but it was still working fine in the morning. The air conditioner is a combined heating and cooling unit. If you switch the mode correctly, you'll see a 'heat' indicator. It was a bit chilly that day, but I slept warmly. The hotel room is quite spacious, and the bedding is excellent. When booking through Trip.com, it states that you need to call to confirm your reservation two days before your stay. I recommend trying to send an email first. It was a difficult time for both the staff member and me... ㅠㅠ Sending an email resolved it very simply. And for some reason, Trip.com also called me separately regarding the reservation. I'm still not sure if they confirmed the reservation on Trip.com's end and notified me, or if they did it because my initial attempt to use Trip.com's internet call failed. The check-in process was assisted by a male staff member who was very friendly. Thank you! The hotel has a restaurant, but it's entirely reservation-based. I ate dinner outside, so I reserved for breakfast. It was served neatly and simply. In the morning, the door to the stairs is blocked, so you have to use the elevator.

This is one of the few newly renovated, clean, and comfortable accommodations within the Alishan area. The location is unbeatable, the electric blankets are a thoughtful touch, and the service is friendly. They even offer a shuttle to the bus station. The poor soundproofing and the walk to breakfast are definite drawbacks, but for the convenience of watching the sunrise within the park, it's still highly recommended!

When i reserved the hotel, i have no idea how to get to the hotel, and didn’t receive any reply from the hotel. Fortunately, it isn’t that difficult to locate the shuttle bus pick up details from the hotel website. This hotel is located inside the Alishan National Park, its shuttle bus can be boarding at the Alishan transit area (just at the Alishan National Park entrance, and where the public bus 7322,7239 are alighting or picking passengers). Otherwise, walk in after the park ticket purchase. Shuttle bus has a stop at the Information Centre, inside the Alishan National Park. Room was given an upgrade and has two king size beds (each is made up of two individual bed joining, not so idea though). 2 wash basin, no fighting over. Room deco is old design but overall is comfortable. I also wanted to compliment two staff a the restaurant where buffet breakfast and dinner are provided- mr Jacky and mdm Jhang. Both provided great insights on the routes to xianglin shenmu and that helped us for not missing out; highlighted to us on the special fruits of taiwan, and that made foreigners. They both made our first trip to Alishan a pleasant and our stay a pleasure.

I chose this place because of its location right in Fenqihu Old Street, making shopping and exploring easy. It's also super convenient for hitting the nearby walking trails. There's no dedicated parking, but on weekdays, it was a breeze to snag a free roadside spot nearby. Weekends would be a different story though; if you don't arrive before 9 AM, you're out of luck even if you're willing to pay. The room facilities are a bit dated, and there's no air conditioning, just an external exhaust fan for ventilation. I imagine it would be quite uncomfortable in the summer, but thankfully, the April nights were still very pleasant. My baby absolutely loved the tatami room, with all that open space to crawl around freely and happily.

The lady owner was super lovely and accommodating. She was very welcoming and let us drop our luggage before check-in and gave us lots of good suggestions on where to go, what to do in Fenqihu and Alishan areas. She also gave some advices on the sunrise and sunset spots. We stayed in 4-people family room which as perfect and comfortable. There are all the facilities we needed and the breakfast was also very healthy and delicious. Highly recommended if you are making a trip to Alishan!

got room 201, two queen beds meant for 4 but we only had 2 pax, as 2 pax rooms were unavailable. paid abt 214 for the room in Apr 2026. location was decent, near 711, restaurants and the train station. interior lobby and walkways look refreshed, but the rooms are certainly dated. cleanliness is generally acceptable, but the toilet ventilation produced a slight but noticeable foul smell. wifi was also slow.

The hotel's hygiene was pretty good; I didn't notice any dirty spots, and the duvet in the room was comfortable and warm. However, the soundproofing in the room was really bad. I could hear everything from the toilet flushing next door to people showering and even sneezing 😂. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way. It's situated lower down among a cluster of hotels and is the furthest from Alishan Station. Getting there involves walking down stairs or a slope, which means every time you go from the hotel to the station or out for a meal, you have to walk uphill, which is quite tiring 😂. Also, there's no elevator, and even though it's only three stories high, those with large luggage should be aware.

It seems impossible to find reasonably priced accommodation in the Alishan Scenic Area, which is why even ********* locals feel domestic tourism in Taiwan isn't worth the cost. The hotel provides basic facilities, and I didn't expect good soundproofing, so I have no complaints there. I saw many complaints in the comments section about the lack of a shower curtain, but the owner seems completely indifferent to guest feedback, not bothering to make even simple improvements. So the bathroom and toilet just get completely soaked. To be honest, Alishan isn't an absolute must-see, but the related tourism infrastructure and the hotel's value for money directly influence a traveler's final choice.
