"First off, in Hailar, the Baifuyue Hotel is probably considered a very high-standard hotel. However, for such a high-standard establishment, when we checked in on the first night, none of the power outlets in the room were working. Since we arrived around 11:50 PM, we didn't contact customer service. The next morning, I tried to use the in-room phone to call the front desk, but it wouldn't connect – which was quite unbelievable! Thankfully, the maintenance technician eventually fixed the outlet issue. The hotel rooms are a bit small. Secondly, the hotel's location is quite convenient. It's easy to get a taxi to the city center or tourist attractions, and it's also close to the airport, about a ten-minute drive. We stayed on the 16th floor, and the view outside was good! Finally, during our four-day stay, the breakfast was excellent. There was a good variety of dishes, and the fruit selection was fresh and changed daily, which was a nice touch. The kids ate very healthily!"

"The room rate was a bit high, but the overall experience was excellent. The hotel was very attentive, taking into account almost all our needs. The hotel boasts a prime location with stunning views of the Morigele River scenic area. I initially thought that since the yurt wasn't on the mountaintop, the view from the room wouldn't be great, but it was still beautiful and there were some unexpected surprises. We were up close to marmots, and in the morning, we even saw cattle and sheep grazing outside our window. During dinner, there were song and magic performances, but there was also a sudden gust of wind that made it impossible to leave the restaurant. We asked the staff, and they said it wouldn't stop anytime soon, so a group of us had to help each other back to our rooms. It felt like we could be blown away at any moment – ​​quite a unique experience! Around midnight, the wind stopped, and I was able to photograph the stars. Although there weren't many, I could see the entire Big Dipper, which was very satisfying. It drizzled for a while in the morning, and I thought it would be cloudy, but surprisingly, it cleared up around 9 am, making it another beautiful day."

"The breakfast is definitely a highlight; the wontons and congee were delicious, and there was a great variety overall, quite substantial. Problem one: No non-smoking rooms. All rooms in the hotel allow smoking, and smokers are frequently seen in the lobby and restaurant on the first floor. I called a day in advance to request a non-smoking treatment, but they only opened the windows for ventilation. The smoke smell had already permeated the entire room, making the air stale and bitter, completely unalleviated. Those sensitive to smoke should definitely reconsider. Problem two: Extremely poor value for money. During the same period, nearby guesthouses were only 80-170 yuan/night (both near the train station and the ancient city). This Huanzhi Hotel I booked was 800 yuan/night, an outrageous overcharge. The experience absolutely did not match the price. Additional note: The grasslands are now at the tail end of peak season; most areas have been mowed, so the grass is short and yellow, and the scenic effect is mediocre. Conclusion: Unless you absolutely don't mind the smell of smoke, I strongly do not recommend this hotel. There are far too many better options at this price point. I took photos before checking out for everyone's reference."

"It refreshed my impression of Hailar Hotel. It is clean and tidy, and the service is super good: the room facilities are very new, and the curtains and lights are all intelligent and automated facilities. The takeaway was delivered to the front desk, and the robot delivered it upstairs to the door in three minutes. I needed ice cubes to cool down in the middle of the night. I thought it was ice cubes from the hotel restaurant, but it turned out to be professional ice packs, and a towel was also provided, reminding you not to get frostbite. When I saw that there were children staying, they directly sent cute slippers and toothbrushes. It completely cured our fatigue of the week. We lived on the 17th floor, which was high, with a great view from the floor-to-ceiling windows, facing the south gate of the ancient city, and watched the fireworks and light show at night."

"The location is fantastic, right on the edge of the old city, and our room had a view of the Old City Yamen (ancient government office). The downside to this, however, is that it can be a bit noisy at night, and parking is a hassle. The hotel's parking lot downstairs was full, so we had to go to a parking garage about 100 meters away. The hotel reimbursed us for it, but we still waited in line for half an hour during peak evening hours – it just shows how lively the area is! Taxis to the airport cost 18 yuan, and it's only 10 yuan to the train station and the history museum, so it's super convenient. The hotel service was truly excellent; they were responsive to all our requests and very prompt. Breakfast options were a bit limited."

I traveled alone with my 3 year old daughter and we had a fantastic stay! The owner was very kind to upgrade us to the largest king size bed room which was very spacious for my kid to run around. Unfortunately she didn’t realize we booked 2 nights and made us move the second night but still gave us an upgraded room! She made up for it by helping me move and watch my child while I settled into the second room. She and the restaurant chef were so kind with allowing us to eat a late breakfast because my child was too tired and could not wake up in time before breakfast ended. The chef made us a delicious fried rice with some tomato/eggs and hot Mongolian milk te which was the best meal we’ve had in Inner Mongolia because we are tired of eating lamb. Everyone treated us so well and loved my outgoing daughter. We sang karaoke at night and my daughter sat on the swings and ran around in the courtyard playing. I loved that the light to the AC turns off when the room lights turn off but the AC is still working. It makes sleep so much better to not have a light shining on you. The rooms are very new and there’s lots of cabinet space. Parking is available. Bottled water, slippers, shampoos/body wash are all provided. We also got free tickets to the grassland which we unfortunately could not make it to but appreciated. Thank you to the owner and the staff for making our stay so comfortable! We will definitely come back and stay again!

I stayed here as part of my 20 day road trip across the forests of Northern Heilongjian and the white hills of Inner Mongolia. After driving north from A'ershan to New Barag Youqi to see stand on the southern bank of Hulun Hu, I drove up to Manzhouli to stand on the lakes northern bank and watch the sunset. I had no idea what to expect from Manzhouli and so I booked 3 nights. I also enjoyed the Russian ethnic minority food, milk tea and bought some gifts in town. I ended up deciding to move on up north to Erguna via the G331 a couple of days early. Though I cut the stay short, I thought the hotel was great. It's in the high rise building and is eay to find. The welcome at reception was nice and friendly. I was given everything I needed and shown a much larger room than I booked. The rooms possibly the largest I have come across since living in China. The design is nice, warm, and bright. It came across as a studio alarment that was just missing a kitchen. The Auntie gave me some magnets as I was leaving and I appreciate that a lot. I highly recommend this place if you need a quiet, apartment like stay in the city. If you enjoy Russian food, or from Europe and missing home, there are plenty of Russian restaurants serving real bread, meat, potatoes and Russian beer.

I found this guesthouse as I was driving up the G331 from Erguna to Beijicun as part of my 2 0 day road trip loop from the northernmost part of China to A'ershan and back. Mo'edaogazhen is a very small, quiet town and I was the only guest in this guesthouse. I got a friendly welcome when I arrived by the Auntie and Uncle. I was welcomed to my room and got settled in. As an Englishman, I had to go down to the police station and then to another hotel to have my location registered - a Chinese Government requirement. The boss jumped in the car and saw me get it sorted nice and smoothly with no hassle. The room was nice and comfy and in the traditional wooden style which suited my trip well. A couple of improvements would be to make sure the room has a kettle on arrival and that the shower won't flood for other guests. But no harm done, I slept well and enjoyed plenty of Gongfu tea sessions. As I left, the Auntie/Sister gave me two Russian pastries which I was very appreciative of. Things like this leave a lasting impression, especially for us foreign travellers. I ended up driving from Erguna to Beijicun via the G331 - the most isolated section in the nation - and these pastries saw me through the journey well. Thank you both and Happy Chinese New Year!

Out of the eight hotels we stayed at during our nine-day, eight-night trip to Hulunbuir, this one was the kids' absolute favorite! They loved the yurt rooms and seeing the little lambs and calves. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They proactively added me on WeChat a few days beforehand to send the address, and when we arrived, they immediately helped us with our luggage. The dishes we ordered for dinner at the hotel were also delicious. After dinner, there was a bonfire and a fireworks show. Guests staying at the hotel also get a free ride to Qushui Yuntian for photos – it's less crowded and beautiful in the evening!

Over 20 years ago, when I first visited Inner Mongolia, even the so-called best yurts were just grassy husks and cowflies swirling around when the tap was turned on. Now, with a child, choosing accommodation is still not easy. I wanted to stay on the grasslands, but the larger campsites were too crowded with all sorts of guests, and the noisy bonfire parties and clubbing were simply not to my taste. After much searching, I finally found this place. It's small, perched on a hillside near a village, with a view of pastureland. After checking in, I found the landlady was truly attentive: free freshly ground coffee, a separate wet and dry bathroom, soft beds (surprisingly the most comfortable in our five nights in Inner Mongolia), thick, absorbent towels, a heated smart toilet… The horse riding area she recommended was also very reliable, reasonably priced, safe, and legitimate. After riding, it rained, so we didn't go out and ate barbecue at the hotel. The meat was fresh, and my husband wanted cold noodles, so the landlady even went out to buy the ingredients—corn and perilla leaves, all freshly picked from the field. I'd been lamenting that I'd missed the sunset at Heishantou, but then, while eating, I looked up and saw a fiery sunset (there's a hillside nearby; it must be even more beautiful up there). I've always felt that tourism development in Inner Mongolia is quite challenging. The peak season is very short each year, prices are high, and the quality of cultural activities varies greatly. Shops cater to all sorts of customers, and dealing with difficult or even obnoxious guests can be incredibly frustrating. If guesthouses could all be run with the same care and hospitality as this lady, I believe things would be much better.

The receptionist lady at the hotel was very friendly, kind, and welcoming. The hotel is located in a very convenient area in the city center, which was a great advantage. However, the cleanliness of the bathroom was not satisfactory. The hotel did not provide enough bottled drinking water according to the number of guests staying in the room. I believe it is important to provide clean bottled water based on the number of guests and beds in the room. This does not cost much for the hotel, but for tired travelers who have been on a long journey, it is a small but valuable comfort. There were also no porcelain cups available for drinking tea in the room. In addition, some foreign guests were talking loudly, coming in and out of the hotel, and making a lot of noise until around 2 a.m. This made our stay uncomfortable and disturbed our rest. We had traveled a long distance and were extremely tired, so we decided to overlook these issues and requested to extend our stay for one more night at the same hotel to get some rest. However, the hotel increased the room price, which was disappointing. Furthermore, although the agreed check-out time was 2:00 p.m., we were asked to leave after 12:30 p.m. As a result, we could not finish our lunch and had to check out at around 1:30 p.m. We hope the hotel can pay more attention to respecting the agreed check-out time and providing better service for guests in the future.
