"This is a really nice hotel, located right on a food street with tons of dining options and a lively atmosphere. They have a few parking spots, but you need to inform the front desk when you're heading out. A nice perk is that guests get free tickets to the adjacent swimming pool – just remember to bring your swimming cap! The lounge area on the first floor is a thoughtful touch, offering complimentary coffee, tea, and ice. The rooms are quite spacious, featuring a huge TV and comfortable bedding, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, though the water pressure for showering was a bit low, possibly due to peak usage. Breakfast was decent, but they didn't offer any made-to-order items. It seems the hotel has a partnership with an electric scooter rental shop, but I didn't quite figure out the details or inquire further. The hotel's proximity to various attractions is great; you can easily walk, bike, or take a taxi. Definitely recommended!"

"Booked two rooms for two nights with my parents and children. While the Ferrari might be old, it's still a Ferrari! The hotel maintains InterContinental's consistent high standards: clean, tidy, with a spacious room and a bathtub. The toiletries and breakfast were excellent and varied, which my parents particularly enjoyed. Xiao Xiong at the front desk provided great service; she kindly extended lounge access and breakfast for my child to one of our executive rooms, and the lounge food was fantastic. The hotel's location is convenient for driving, very close to the Jinjiang No. 2 Sports Center where we attended a concert, just across the Jinjiang Bridge."

"The location is fantastic, making it super easy to get to all the attractions in the Old Town. Let me tell you about my wonderful experience checking into the hotel. I arrived by high-speed train that day and got to the hotel around 10:30 AM. I was just planning to drop off my luggage since my booking clearly stated check-in was after 2 PM. To my surprise, a polite gentleman with glasses at the front desk not only checked me in right away but also proactively told me about nearby attractions and transportation options. He even upgraded my room for free – wow! About five minutes after I got to my room, a female staff member knocked on the door and brought me a complimentary gift of Quanzhou snacks, which was incredibly thoughtful. Around 7 PM that evening, the hotel called to inform me they would be sending milk and fruit drinks to my room. This level of service is truly amazing! When I returned later, I found the nightlight and mosquito repellent already turned on, and even the water flosser in the bathroom had been filled with water for me. So many little details were perfectly taken care of. Although the hotel facilities are a bit older, it's clear they are meticulously maintained. Just look at the marble floor in the lobby – it shines like a mirror! You can tell from the staff's demeanor that the hotel is exceptionally well-managed. This hotel really elevated my impression of service in Quanzhou and left a wonderful memory for me and my family. As a final thought, even if a Ferrari gets old, it's still a Ferrari."

"Traveling with a child, front desk staff member Yechen provided exceptional service. She proactively upgraded our room and a robot even delivered toothbrushes and slippers to our little one, which made them very happy. Later, when my child accidentally broke a mouthwash cup, she promptly helped us resolve the issue. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and our child really enjoyed it, making for a very comfortable stay. The Sunshine Night Market is right downstairs, and Wudianshi is also very close by."

"I'd love to give this hotel a five-star rating! Before checking in, they added me on WeChat to ask about my personalized needs. Since I was traveling with two kids, they even gave us a complimentary meal voucher. The room is newly renovated, simple, and practical, with a really useful desk, perfect for working late. The showerhead is excellent, and the plumbing works perfectly. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and they're very attentive to your specific requests. When we left, they even prepared coffee for us to take away – the attention to detail is outstanding. The front desk and concierge were incredibly prompt with luggage assistance and opening/closing car doors. They also proactively helped me extend my checkout time, which was greatly appreciated. It really feels like every single employee is proactive and positive. The first night we stayed at a five-star hotel near West Street, but it was miles apart from this place. Although this hotel's location is a bit further from the city center, a Didi ride costs around 14 yuan and gets you anywhere. Open your mind, and the experience will be entirely different. "Traveling with family during Chinese New Year, we paid less than 700 RMB per night per room, which is usually under 300 RMB. The hotel is located in a small alley, and the surrounding area isn't the cleanest. However, the hotel itself was quite clean, and the service was decent. The breakfast, though, was really disappointing. They only had oranges and cherry tomatoes, and by 8:30 AM, many items were already gone. Due to the heavy traffic during the holiday, there weren't many dining options around the hotel. We couldn't find any electric scooters for rent and the hotel was right next to a gas station, so we ended up taking a taxi to West Street. The location is in the central area of Quanzhou, making it very convenient to visit tourist attractions."

"My friend and I visited Quanzhou during the May Day holiday. Since prices were steep everywhere – even a Quanji hotel was over 800 RMB – we opted for the seasoned five-star hotel, Yuewah (Xiamen C&D Hotel). I knew it was an older hotel, but the online photos looked decent. However, upon opening the door on check-in day, I was quite disappointed. We were given a room with a half-window (Picture 1), which looked very different from the deluxe twin room advertised online. I immediately called the front desk to confirm if this was indeed a deluxe twin room, and they confirmed it was. Personally, I really dislike half-windows, and the room's layout was also very different. Thankfully, the duty manager, Ms. David, promptly came to our room, offered to change our room type, and even took us to view the new room to ensure it met our expectations. She was very proactive in helping us, and in the end, we successfully checked into a satisfactory room. The new room was significantly more spacious. Although the facilities are older, they still meet five-star standards. Moreover, the breakfast at Yuewah is incredibly diverse. They offer Quanzhou specialties like Mianxian糊 (vermicelli paste) and Satay Noodles, both of which tasted excellent. There's a wide selection of fruits, pastries, and various other food types. The breakfast seating arrangement was also quite orderly. Overall, I was very satisfied with our stay!"

"Two adults and two children, we traveled from Chengdu to Fujian, and Quanzhou was our second stop. Even before we arrived in Quanzhou, the hotel called us a day in advance to remind us about the weather and thoughtfully informed us that they would turn on the air conditioning for us in advance – very much appreciated! Our mischievous elementary school graduate was all smiles from the moment we checked in until we left, all thanks to her beloved ice cream, which was a nice touch. The lobby staff were incredibly proactive, helping us with our luggage and even loading it into the taxi. This felt like genuine sincerity, something rarely seen in the service industry these days, unless you're staying at a five-star hotel. While everything else was great, I have two suggestions for improvement. First, on the 8th floor, the windows were always closed. The hotel provides mosquito repellent, but it has a strong scent. I used it the first night, but not the second, and ended up being bitten in the middle of the night, scrambling to find itch relief. The mosquitoes were buzzing in my ear, forcing me to turn the repellent back on. Perhaps a scent-free option could be provided. It's too close to the bed, and the smell is easily inhaled. My other comment is about the partnered Huang Baihe簪花 (hairpin flower) service. I saw the introduction when booking, and since we had some free time on West Street that day, I went directly without taking the hotel card. I mentioned I was from the hotel, and the shop quoted 199 for a set, eventually charging 180. Regardless of whether there was an actual discount for the hairpin flowers, while their hairpin flower technique was good, I felt that all three makeup artists were not very skilled, and their photography was also done by other partners on West Street. It wasn't a great experience. 🤣"

When we checked in, they even gave us a hand-drawn map and went through all the routes, potential pitfalls, and must-see spots. Their recommendations for food and activities were absolute gems – we followed their advice for mochi, mung bean cakes, and the Arts and Crafts Cooperative, and everything was spot-on, way better than anything we could have found doing our own research! They were always ready to help and proactively offered assistance, treating us like friends the whole time. It felt even warmer and more personalized than a five-star hotel. Traveling with my mom was completely stress-free; this guesthouse provided an incredible sense of security and convenience. If you're coming to Quanzhou, this is definitely the place to stay. I'll absolutely be back for a second visit, and I highly recommend it to all my friends!

GGuest UserThe hotel environment is fantastic, and the owner provides such warm and thoughtful service. They even drew out an itinerary for food, drinks, and activities, and following it, we didn't encounter a single bad experience! It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, and Kaiyuan Temple is right next door. The Japanese-style courtyard is so peaceful it feels like home. Deliveries and takeaways even come straight to your room. The manager is super polite and enthusiastic but also knows how to give you space. I'll definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family!

GGuest UserI rarely say this on my reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Minsu. When I come back to Quanzhou for another family holiday, I will book this place again. Firstly, the location: It is unbeatable. It is near enough to be in the midst of the action in Quanzhou (near the walking street, eateries, restaurants, shopping etc etc), yet very quiet for us to enjoy a good night’s rest, or a good conversation at night over tea. Second, the nice balance between an authentic cultural home and modernism. We had the entire Minsu to ourselves, 6 rooms in total. Renovated about 3-4 years ago, the Minsu gave us the experience of living in an authentic Chinese inn, yet the amenities were modern….comfortable beds, modern toilets, refrigerators available etc….The courtyards were also beautiful. The entire Minsu was tastefully done…..plus it was spotlessly clean. Thirdly, the owners. They were so friendly and helpful. They met us at the drop off point, and brought us to the Minsu when we checked in, helping to move some of our luggages (and they did the same thing when we checked out). They went out of their way to help purchase traditional puppet show (木偶) tickets (at a small discount somemore). After we checked out, my son left his hoodie in the room. The owners assisted to courier the jacket to the next city we were heading to (we were already in the train at that time). And lastly, every morning and every night, either Mr Du, his son or his daughter in law would invite us to join them for tea. They would then proceed to serve tea the traditional way, while having a conversation with us. They also taught us certain traditions, protocols and rules when serving tea. They have a cat called TangYuan (汤圆), in which the kids in the family enjoyed playing with. The only thing to note is that public transport (via taxis and buses) only can drop you off at a spot about 5min walk away. Also, they provide disposable towels, not the regular towels given at hotels. If it is an issue, just bring your own towels. Otherwise, this place deserves 5 out of 5 stars.

Clean, comfortable, helpful ground staff, especially friendly customer support through WeChat - Xiao Yang, conveniently located, nice local breakfast provided in the hotel.It’s not located on the Main Street but it’s only a few min walk, which also means less noise at night and early in the morning. FflubberGrand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms. Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that. In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear. The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch. The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee. Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby. Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.

What I'll remember most is choosing 2208 Inn, which boasts a fantastic location on the busiest street in Quanzhou's city center. The West Gate of the famous Kaiyuan Temple is just across the road from the inn. From my room at the inn, I could open the window and gaze at the beautiful night silhouette of Quanxi Hall on West Street. I could also hear the bustling crowds of West Street from outside my window. Day or night, the ancient city's streets are lined with a dazzling array of local snacks and delicacies – think Mianxian paste, Ginger Duck, Fujianese crispy pork, with famous eateries right next door. If you want a taste, just head downstairs; they're just a few steps away. Xunpu flower-wearing shops are also everywhere. If you want to try wearing the flowers, just go downstairs, and you can instantly transform into a beautiful flower-wearing girl. What brought me the most joy was the genuine conversations I had with the inn staff every time I returned. The front desk's handsome and dedicated customer service representative, the proprietress's beautiful smile, and the cleaning auntie's meticulousness and hard work all exemplify the inn's warm and thoughtful hospitality. Thank you all for giving me such wonderful memories of the ancient city. It makes me recall: in this thousand-year-old city, in this little alley corner, I unexpectedly encountered your vibrant, almost divine, warmth and vitality. It makes me miss the moment the pigeons flew past the Twin Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple in the morning, the fragrant misty aroma of Tieguanyin tea in an old teahouse in the afternoon, and the golden glow of the sunset over Jinjiang River. Encounters are always brief! I've already made a promise with you – if I ever come to Quanzhou again, I will undoubtedly choose 2208 Inn without hesitation. As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, I wish the inn even greater prosperity and a booming year ahead!

The room design is well-thought-out and the size is just right. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and various eateries. Plus, a few minutes' walk away, there's a well-established noodle paste and dessert shop that offers bigger portions and better taste than those found near tourist spots.

DDaimiI went to Quanzhou with my friends and booked a three-bedroom homestay. The location is good, the room is big and very quiet. The bathroom is not very good, a little small, and it is inconvenient for two people to use it at the same time, one to take a shower and the other to blow dry their hair. After all, it is a bit inconvenient to have the toilet sink and the shower together for three rooms. Overall it is not bad, I recommend it.
