"The overall experience at the hotel was excellent! The service provided by the hotel was perfect! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The counter staff (Xiao Shen) offered me a free upgrade to a room with bathtub as I arrived early in the morning and the room was not ready yet. As my departure flight was in the evening, I requested late check-out and the staff extended the check-out time to 2pm. The room is very spacious and clean. Everything was so great! They even provided free dessert in the afternoon everyday during my stay! Highly recommending this hotel if you need to travel to Shantou."

At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Shantou hotel offers parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Stayed from July 3rd to July 5th, two nights in a connecting twin room. This is an older five-star hotel, and you can definitely feel its age. The room decor and amenities are a bit dated, showing signs of wear and tear. The breakfast buffet has fewer options than expected and isn't particularly exquisite or extensive, though it does cover basic hot dishes, pastries, and congee – certainly enough to fill you up. If you have high expectations, you might be a little disappointed. Its biggest advantage is the location. It's right in the heart of the city center, within walking distance of Longyan South Road Food Street, making it incredibly convenient to go out for seafood and beef hotpot in the evening. It's a hassle-free choice for foodies and sightseers. This hotel is ideal for travelers primarily focused on food adventures and who aren't too picky about modern facilities. Those looking for brand-new, contemporary amenities might want to compare with other options."

"Three girlfriends and I came to Shantou for a food trip, and we wanted to stay together to chat easily. After a long search, we chose this hotel which is conveniently located near Xiaogongyuan. We opted for the family room with three beds. The room was well-soundproofed and had a large terrace. It was clean, tidy, and warmly decorated. Although the bathroom wasn't huge, it had a good wet and dry separation. The staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with, always responding promptly to our questions. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. It was a delightful trip!"

"This 4-day trip to Shantou, I stayed at Hampton by Hilton, and it was my first time choosing a business hotel for a vacation, but I was surprisingly satisfied. I especially want to commend the staff member Chen Shuang. On the first night, it was quite late, but she still helped us open the sofa bed and promptly replaced the quilt that my child had wet. After finding out I was bitten by an insect at the hotel, she communicated with her supervisor, sent fruit and biscuits as a慰問, and even provided mosquito repellent. The next day, she arranged for pest control during room cleaning. Although the breakfast selection was a bit limited, overall, I was quite pleased, and the laundry and drying facilities were very convenient."

"On another short trip to Shantou with the kids, I once again chose the Sheraton Chaoshan Hotel. Its location is superb, with the MixC Mall nearby offering incredibly convenient access to food, shopping, coffee, and tea. This trip was all about relaxing, eating, and drinking. I booked an Executive Seaview Twin Room at the Sheraton. We arrived on an early morning flight, explored the surroundings, and after about an hour's wait, we were able to check in around noon. Our room on the 22nd floor of the executive level offered even better views. The sky was crystal clear before the typhoon, and looking out from the room at the inner sea and the bridge was simply beautiful! The Executive Lounge is on the 23rd floor. The afternoon tea at 2 PM had delicious pastries and sandwiches, and the evening simple meal at 7 PM was great. Enjoying it while looking at the blue sky and white clouds outside was truly delightful. Zora, who served us at the lounge after check-in, was warm and attentive, and to our surprise, she even brought us a lovely little bear cake in the evening – cute and delicious. Breakfast is served on the first floor starting at 6:30 AM, featuring many Teochew specialties like rice noodle rolls, glutinous rice dumplings (wu mi guo), freshly cooked clay pot congee, and beef noodles. We enjoyed a variety of dishes every day, so much so that we could skip lunch! While the Sheraton has been around for a while, I genuinely enjoy its opulent style. Coupled with its excellent location and service, I'll likely stay here again on my next visit to Shantou."

"This hotel truly amazed me. I'm quite picky when it comes to hotels, but this was the best one I stayed at during my trip to Guangdong. It's a newly opened hotel, located in a residential area with plenty of local eateries, coffee shops, and bakeries nearby, and very close to Mixc World. The decor is beautiful, and despite being new, there were no strong or unpleasant smells, thanks to their fresh air system. The environment is quiet with no noise, and the rooms are spacious and come with a fridge, which is very convenient. While the entrance isn't grand (perhaps not fully set up yet), inside it's truly a hidden gem. The owner is a handsome young man, and both he and the front desk staff provided excellent service. They gave us welcome gifts, which were very practical. We booked two rooms, and the owner upgraded us for free, helped us with our luggage, and even recommended local food streets and specialties. Anything we needed was delivered very promptly. The cleaning staff were also very friendly. There's free parking available, which is very convenient. My absolute favorite was their wireless makeup mirror – I immediately ordered the same one to be sent to my home! This is a genuine and honest review, hope it helps everyone!"

"Shantou Chronicles: A City Remembered for a Place to Stay Before coming to Shantou, I'd heard that the Leebai Hotel was listed among Ctrip's high-end hotels, and the Doubao app also recommended it frequently. I had high expectations, and once I settled in, I realized that a good place to stay isn't built on reputation alone, but is hidden in the tiny details of everyday life, making you feel secure and even a little homesick. Upon entering the lobby, the front desk ladies greeted me with warm smiles. There was no polite distance in their words; it felt more like meeting old friends. The hallway wasn't the typical cookie-cutter hotel design either. The wall colors and lighting created a peaceful atmosphere, and in a corner, a small inscription read, ”Food as a gift, peace in dwelling.” At first glance, I thought it was just a common saying, but after staying for two days and looking back, it truly felt like a genuine statement. What was most touching were the details easily overlooked by others. Every day upon returning from my outings, the room was always tidied and spotless. The toiletries I'd casually spread out on the vanity were neatly arranged by the housekeeping auntie; clothes I'd washed and left to dry were folded precisely and placed by my pillow when I returned. Whenever I met a cleaning auntie in the hallway, she would always greet me with a smiling nod, her voice soft but warm. A faint, pleasant scent always lingered in the room—not a harsh incense, but something warm, like sun-dried cotton, making me feel relaxed the moment I opened the door. The room had a power-saving card, so there was no need to worry about waiting for the room to cool down in the summer. All these thoughtful touches made me feel at ease. The location was also excellent. Right next door was a bustling wet market; walking through it in the morning, my ears were filled with the sounds of everyday life, and the aroma of local food filled the streets. Not far away was Zhujiang Road Food Street, perfect for an evening stroll, with the fragrance of food wafting everywhere. There was a bike rental station downstairs, so I could cycle out in the morning and return the bike right at the doorstep in the evening. Shantou isn't a large city, so staying here made getting around convenient, without wasting too much energy on transportation. The hotel also provided a hand-drawn tourist map, clearly showing the care put into every stroke. Streets and eateries were marked distinctly, eliminating the need to search for guides. The front desk staff patiently recommended local restaurants, all places frequented by locals, not just tourist traps. The coffee at the bar was also good, with a lingering aroma. Even after drinking it at 1 AM, I was still energetic and wide awake. It's clear that the owners understand how to live; they have a knack for business yet possess a sense of aesthetics. Everything is thoughtfully considered, yet subtly executed. If there was any shortcoming, it would be that the bathroom pipes occasionally made a sudden noise at night. In the quiet of the night, the sound was particularly distinct, and on two occasions when I was a light sleeper, I was startled awake. However, this minor flaw was overshadowed by the overall comfort and peace of mind I experienced throughout my stay, so it wasn't a significant issue. Initially, I booked for two nights, but by the second day, I didn't want to leave, so I extended my stay for another night. When traveling, it's rare to find a place that makes you feel so at ease. It's like walking and suddenly stumbling upon a cool, shaded spot under an eaves; once you sit down, you don't want to rush to get up. Over the past few days, I also tried a few hotpot places, sampling both Tianshan Beef and VIP Beef. Personally, I preferred Tianshan's; the beef had a faint milky aroma, and the beef tendon meatballs were incredibly springy. The Zhujiang Rice Noodle Roll shop next to the hotel is also worth a visit; having a plate in the early morning made my stomach feel warm all day long. People used to say that you fall in love with a city because of a person. Now I realize that you can also be willing to revisit a city because of a place to stay. Next time I come to Shantou, I think I will still choose to stay here—not because of its luxury, but because it makes you feel like you can have a sense of home and stability even when you're away."

"I'm writing this review a month after checking out, because just thinking about it still makes me angry 😤! Room: First, let's talk about the room layout. I booked a tatami room thinking it would be good for storing things. I arrived in Shantou late at night, and after checking in, I opened the room door to find a mirror directly facing the entrance (with a small spotlight above it). All the fatigue from driving for several hours instantly vanished – it was horrifying! What kind of designer puts a mirror facing the door? Later, I realized it was probably because the room was small and there was nowhere else to put the mirror. The entire room didn't even have a proper desk, just a very small low table, about 20-30 cm high. After putting a tissue box on it, it was hard to even eat takeout. There was no space for laptops, tablets, or personal items, so I had to put them on the wooden shelf above the water kettle. The entire room only shared one trash can with the toilet area… The smart features of the toilet were all in useless places; it didn't have heating or a bidet, just a motion-sensing lid opener? Every time I went to the shower, the toilet lid would open automatically 😂. For a hotel that costs several hundred yuan, they use 'Bing Lu' mineral water, which even the Orange hotel two blocks away doesn't use anymore. The room came with a coffee machine, but no milk or sugar, which is unfriendly to those who like sweets. Now, for the main reason I felt compelled to write this review. I'm a woman with rather dry hair, reaching about my waist, so conditioner is a must after washing. When I went to use the conditioner after washing my hair, it looked like there was still some left, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't pump any out. The nozzle and bottle were in one piece and couldn't be twisted open. The frustration and anger at that moment were immense! 😤😤 This led to my hair getting tangled, and it took a long time to sort out, ruining my mood for the whole day. Do they really need to be *that* economical? Leaving so little in the bottle just for show? Also, the hotel is truly economical; the elevator doesn't have air conditioning. At around 9 AM, I took the elevator, and there was a very strong smell of sweat inside. There must have been workers who had done a lot of strenuous work and then took the elevator, and the smell was all trapped inside. It was truly awful 🤢. It really doesn't feel like an international brand hotel. Perhaps the Wyndham next door would offer a much better experience."

This hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Zhujiang South Road Food Street. If you're heading to Nan'ao Island by public transport, bus 161A is about an 8-minute walk away. Tianshan Beef Hotpot is also within an 8-minute walk. Even going to Longyan South Road or the high-speed rail station, a taxi ride is only around 10 yuan. The front desk staff were very helpful and answered all my questions, even allowing me to have a late check-out until 1 PM. The room's cleanliness was decent. The facilities are up to the usual standard you'd expect from a Ji Hotel. But the best part was how quiet the room was (it didn't face the main street), which allowed me to get a great night's sleep. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shantou.

The hotel is newly opened and has a great overall ambiance. The hygiene conditions are excellent, and the room details are well thought out, including a mini-fridge and tea-making facilities. The bathroom is a highlight with its high-tech toilet and excellent toiletries, and the water pressure for showering is fantastic and very comfortable! The front desk staff are enthusiastic, always ready to answer questions, and genuinely think of the guests' needs! There's free coffee and tea on the first floor of the hotel, which are quite good! The rice noodle roll place next to the hotel is also good, and it's not far from Zhujiang Food Street, which is very convenient!

The room's location is decent, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It's a hotel-apartment with two large beds, which is great for families with two kids. However, it has its drawbacks. The soundproofing is poor; you can clearly hear conversations from surrounding areas. The biggest issue is the extremely small bathroom, making it very inconvenient to use the toilet – you pretty much have to leave the door open. The shower, on the other hand, is fine with good water pressure. For the price, it's acceptable; you can't expect too much.

Let me start by saying the owner didn't offer any gifts or discounts for this good review – these are purely my personal feelings. **Environment:** The location is absolutely fantastic. It's right next to the Kai Fu Culture Museum and the Post Office, about a 5-6 minute walk from Xiaogongyuan (Little Park). Plus, it's not inside the pedestrian street, but right on the main road, making pick-up and drop-off by car super convenient. **Hygiene:** They provided disposable towels, which we were all very happy with. The toilet and bedding were clean. The living room was spotless and very new; the living and dining areas were large and comfortable. **Facilities:** The only slight drawback was the limited number of power outlets. It was a bit tricky to find a spot for our portable electric kettle. However, there was a real gas heater in the dining room, which was wonderfully warm and cozy. **Service:** 100-point service! We ordered a lot of deliveries, and the staff not only received them but even delivered them to our room. We were also celebrating a birthday (with the understanding that we'd clean up all decorations ourselves), and the staff not only discreetly stored our cake but also gave us a small birthday gift. They were always friendly and chatty when we came and went. It really made us feel like all Shantou people are genuinely good-hearted, haha. **Summary:** We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit!

This time, I brought my child along, so I decided to stay in the county town. First, let's talk about the location. The B&B's location is excellent, with free parking available. Although it's a short walk, it's manageable. Right downstairs, you'll find various restaurants and bubble tea shops. It's practically the Houzhai CBD, very convenient. The only minor drawback is that the hot water is very slow; it takes a long time to come on. After communicating with the owner, they explained that the pipes are long, and you need to let the cold water run out before the hot water arrives. Now, let's focus on the B&B's hygiene and service. The B&B is located in an older building, but the rooms are all new, and the hygiene is exceptionally well-maintained. It's clean and odor-free, which already surpasses many B&Bs. Furthermore, the attention to detail is excellent. Right outside your room on the same floor, the owner provides various daily necessities (dental floss, rubber bands, hair clips, razors, makeup remover wipes, etc.). So thoughtful! Regarding service, the owner led us to the parking lot on an electric scooter. We hadn't checked in yet, and the owner helped us transport our luggage to the B&B. When we checked in, our luggage was already in the room. My child had hives and scratched their skin until it bled a bit, getting some blood on the sheets. I proactively asked the owner if I needed to pay a cleaning fee, but the owner didn't charge anything. What a generous gesture! The off-season price is also very affordable. Overall, for a 207 RMB B&B, I'd give it a 90 out of 100. The 10 points deducted are in hopes that the owner can improve the hot water facilities. We'll definitely come again if we have the chance!

The room was spotless and every detail was thoughtfully considered. There's a sensor light that turns on after you switch off the main lights, which is great for avoiding bumps in the dark. The disposable amenities and bedding were also of excellent quality. At 8 PM, there's an intangible cultural heritage experience where you can follow an instructor to hand-make red peach kueh. From kneading the dough to pressing the patterns, it was really fun, and the instructor taught very meticulously. Afterwards, they even steamed our creations and delivered them to our room – the service was incredibly thorough. If you want to experience Chaoshan's late-night snack culture, this place is just 500 meters from Zhujiang Road Food Street, an easy walk. Many of the restaurants I've saved in my favorites are located there.

The service was terrible. We stayed for two days. When we checkin on the first day at around 4pm, the room was not clean up and they staff said they were very busy that day and asked us to wait at the lobby. On the second day, we came back at around 5pm after a whole day tour, the same situation happen. No housekeeping was done. Same excuse given to us . This is one of the worst accommodation I have stayed in China. The staff are not welcoming.

First time visiting Shantou, and I stumbled upon this hotel with a really striking and modern exterior. I have to say, the lobby of this place is truly grand and they even provided a complimentary backpack. The hotel staff were incredibly professional, offering valet parking, and were very welcoming. The room decor is simple, elegant, and stylish. The bathroom and toilet were a pleasant surprise – a smart toilet, which was a nice touch! I highly recommend this hotel. The environment is great, soundproofing is excellent, and the hygiene is top-notch. The front desk service was fantastic. My stay was full of pleasant surprises. The room was cleaned perfectly, no dust at all, and the space was much bigger than I expected. Thumbs up for this hotel!
