"Of all the camps in the area to choose from I highly recommend staying at this particular one. The manager Wang Shiquan and his team are incredibly good hosts and made sure I had everything I needed. As a foreigner I felt incredibly welcomed and included. The tents are of really good quality and very roomy. The beds are really comfy too. The activities are also plentiful with quad biking, camel riding and sandboarding. Shapotou is very close by too with much to do. Ningxia is definitely an underrated province and I highly recommend anyone to come and see it and experience the kind hospitality of it's people from this camp. Thank you for a great stay."

"The butler will contact guests a day in advance. The hotel is located inside the Tonghu Scenic Area, and the room rate includes admission tickets. This is the only hotel in the scenic area, so there are no outsiders. The hotel's front desk is at the main entrance of the Tonghu Grassland Scenic Area, with free parking. There's a 4x4 shuttle service within the area. The Starlight Restaurant is right next to the tent area, making dining convenient. It usually includes a buffet breakfast and a buffet hot pot dinner with good quality ingredients and a wide selection. There's a shuttle service to the bonfire party, which features a high-quality equestrian show, not just simple amateur entertainment. The rooms are tents. Our room type only had a password lock on the tent zipper, but since there are no outsiders in the park, it felt safe. Soundproofing isn't great because it's a warm tent. Each room type has a private bathroom and toilet, also in an attached tent form. Amenities are complete, including Crocs-style slippers and body lotion. The stand-up air conditioner heats and cools quickly, and there's also an oil-filled radiator for heating. It's hot during the day and cold at night, so you need to use both heating and cooling throughout the day. It's dry, so you can hang a wet towel. There are sand toys and sand sleds everywhere outside the room, and sand dunes right outside your tent, so you can play freely. Everything you could need is provided. If you stay for multiple nights, you'll need to drive quite a distance to visit other places during the day. Actually, one night and the next morning are sufficient. There are plenty of daytime activities, making it suitable for families with children. However, adults can use the daytime for excursions."

"The temporary planned journey, with the children want to live in a desert hotel, all kinds of eyes, and finally in the comment area was attracted by the many praises of the proprietress's house. It was really a great environment. The desert was the desert. The hotel in the desert was clean and there was no sand. The hotel’s own sandboarding is free and unlimited. The proprietress is super nice and enthusiastic. She took us to take the super beautiful back of the proprietress when we checked in and it was a pet-friendly hotel. "This time I stayed at the desert tent hotel, and its facilities were far beyond my expectations! There is a viewing terrace outside the tent, equipped with comfortable lounge chairs, allowing me to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the desert sunrise and sunset. The interior of the tent is no slouch either, and it stays nice and cool even on a scorching desert day. The independent bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas, with a stable supply of hot water and high-quality toiletries. There are also a lot of entertainment facilities, including desert motorcycles, sandboards, etc., which satisfy my pursuit of exciting experiences. What’s even more thoughtful is that the tent is also equipped with an emergency medicine kit and charging equipment, showing care in every detail. Such high-quality facilities gave me an unforgettable desert trip!"

"This desert stargazing B&B in the middle of nowhere is absolutely incredible! The location is superb, far from any light pollution, so you can see the Milky Way and countless stars at night – it's absolutely stunning and so therapeutic ✨. The room is clean and comfortable, and you can even stargaze right from your bed. The owner is incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. The whole atmosphere is fantastic, every photo turns out like a masterpiece. My experience was perfect, it's definitely worth making a special trip for, highly recommended!"

"Stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax in the desert. There is still such accommodation in the desert, it is really satisfying, air conditioning, electric toilet, terrace, private bathroom, comprehensive facilities and high comfort. The night view is beautiful, the stargazing location recommended by the boss, the whole starry sky is raised, and the journey becomes particularly unforgettable. The bonfire fireworks atmosphere is full. Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner hot pot, barbecue... are quite comprehensive, this trip is not only good to eat, live well, and have fun."

The campsite was meticulously cleaned, the public restrooms were kept spotless by staff, and the service was attentive and helpful, including assistance with luggage. The environment was quiet and serene, with endless sand dunes stretching as far as the eye could see, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city—perfect for relaxation and unwinding."

"My recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Zhongwei was a delightful surprise! Amy Yumi, the front desk attendant, greeted me with such a warm smile, and Coco had me checked in within three minutes. They even upgraded me to a larger room for free, which was spacious and bright, and came with a complimentary fruit platter. The bathroom's separate wet and dry areas were a thoughtful touch, and the Hilton-standard cleanliness put me completely at ease. The breakfast buffet offered local specialties like the incredibly flavorful and chewy Aocai noodles. The self-service coffee machine made a latte that was just as good as anything you'd get at a cafe! The location was super convenient too; it took less than half an hour by taxi to get to the Shapotou Scenic Area. In the evenings, I could unwind at the gym. The free laundry room was a lifesaver for travelers needing to refresh their clothes, and the printer in the lobby's business center was free to use. I even discovered that the room's power outlets had built-in USB ports! I've already recommended this hotel to all my friends planning a trip to Zhongwei. "I knew it was off-season, but I didn't expect it to be this quiet. In the middle of nowhere, in this vast desert, it was just us and guests from one other room. There were even more staff than guests! We had to park our car in the lot and rely on the hotel's shuttle. The room was great, very clean, with AC and a private bathroom, and they didn't restrict water usage. We couldn't see any stars at night due to the weather, but the hotel put on a firework display and even gave us sparklers. Overall, it's pretty good value for money. I might come back in the off-season to enjoy the solitude again. 😂"
