Welcome fruit is prepared in the room, and the details are full of care. In terms of catering, the restaurant waiter's detailed introduction and personalized recommendation of the dishes makes the dining experience more pleasant. When leaving the store, the staff not only assisted in carrying luggage, but also presented local special gifts. This warmth makes people feel more cordial. Overall, the hotel's service team has transformed every interaction into an unforgettable experience with a professional, meticulous and sincere attitude, and truly ”home away from home”.

The location is superior, with Baolan Railway, Dingwu Expressway and Yinlan Expressway surrounding the surrounding area, and convenient transportation. The environment is beautiful, and the Yellow River passes around the village, forming a Jizi Bay. The river water is clear. The Ming Great Wall can be reached in a five-minute walk. From it, you can overlook the entire village and the Shapotou Scenic Area across the Yellow River. The towers and sand sliding center that fly over the Yellow River are clearly visible. The facilities are excellent, the rooms are spacious, and the facilities such as bathtubs, toilets and hair dryers are all good. The service is excellent. I arrived at more than ten o'clock in the evening, and the front desk guy was still waiting for me in the parking lot. He drove me around the village the next day. The front desk was warm and considerate, and responded to every request. I felt first-class service in the northwest. The coffee at Kongshan Jiutie is delicious!

The room was quite large, and the 1.5-foot bed was spacious enough for my child. The room was fully equipped and convenient. The breakfast was varied and included a complimentary breakfast for my child. The service was friendly and they kept adding more food. It was very convenient and saved time. After a full meal, we headed off to Shapotou! The front desk lady was attentive and helpful. The complimentary fruit and tea were provided, along with snacks for you to enjoy. It was a great experience! Zhongwei is beautiful. I'll definitely come back and stay here again!

The room was unique, the bed was comfortable, and the receptionist was very helpful, even picking us up in the evening. However, I have to complain about some of the facilities and amenities. First, the soaking tub on the terrace was huge, but when we tried to fill it at night, the water level was surprisingly low. After an hour and a half, it only reached our ankles. At this rate, it would take until midnight to fill it, and by then the water would be completely cold, so we had to give up. Then, when we turned off the lights, the room was filled with a green glow, which was terrifying. I've never seen an emergency exit warning light installed in a room before. Also, the bay window was so small, and there was no bedding, making it impossible to sit or watch TV. The curtains on the bed were also problematic; when they came down, they were right in front of our faces, forcing us to wear a veil to sleep. Finally, the air conditioner unit was right above the lounge chair on the terrace, making it noisy, leaking, and completely soaked, rendering it unusable. I strongly suggest improvements to these issues!

Everything was excellent, and the service was exceptionally satisfactory. The public breakfast restaurant was particularly comfortable and the service was personalized. The only drawback was the lack of fast charging in the entire parking lot, with only three slow charging stations. Many electric vehicle models couldn't be charged there and had to be driven 8 kilometers to the township power supply station to charge.

This Mercure hotel by Donghu Lake is amazing! The lakeside scenery is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are well-equipped and clean, with 24-hour AC and hot water. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows let you watch the starry sky and sunrise without even leaving your room. The terrace also has a great vibe and is perfect for photos. The bonfire, fireworks, and firework show add a touch of romance. The service is attentive and thoughtful; the butler was very responsive and quick to resolve any issues. The environment is quiet and peaceful, making it incredibly relaxing to return to your room after exploring Donghu Lake. Being able to participate in the evening bonfire party and firework show was a real treat!

The views here are all desert landscapes, exactly as described in the reviews I saw online before booking. The photos are very realistic, and the environment truly feels like something out of an ancient poem. Although it's in the desert and the wind and sand can be intense, my accommodation was spotless. All the essential facilities were provided and easy to use, making my stay very convenient. The service was excellent, and the owner was incredibly helpful. Before we arrived, they even reminded us about easily forgotten items, and once we got there, they gave us great tips on how to explore the area. We had a fantastic time!

I managed to snag a classic twin room last minute, and it turned out to be perfectly spacious for one adult and one child. The room was large, and the cleanliness was impressive. The butler service was very responsive, and the laundry service was a standout – my clothes were washed and dried within three hours, returned warm and fragrant. The only downsides were that both breakfast and dinner at the buffet restaurant were mediocre, and the hotel prices in general were quite high. We tried the hotel's surfing car, off-road vehicle, and self-drive desert go-karts. We rode the surfing car three times, and one round cost over a thousand yuan, which is even more expensive than Disneyland! However, I still highly recommend the hotel's surfing car; it actually offered decent value and was much more fun than the one at Shapotou. We also tried the hotel's spa, but I felt the price was a bit inflated – 1880 yuan wasn't significantly better than what you'd get for a few hundred yuan elsewhere. Also, the sand play area wasn't as good as at the Starry Sky Hotel; for kids who want to slide on the sand, I'd recommend the Starry Sky Hotel instead. Overall, though, I was very satisfied and would consider a second visit if I have the chance.

I stayed at Hotel S Tent the day before and then Hotel Desert Star the next day. Staying at both consecutively, the contrast was quite noticeable. Let's start with Desert Star. The room conditions were indeed better than Hotel S Tent, especially the water supply, which was more comfortable, and the dining was slightly better too. However, since it's in the desert, one shouldn't have too high expectations for food anyway. What really affected the experience were the activities. Desert Star clearly has more guests, so many activities felt like an 'assembly line'. For example, during the morning 'find plants and animals' and 'collecting' activities, no tools were provided for collecting. In the end, if you didn't buy the rather inconvenient photo frame, the collected items were just put into a plastic bag, and that counted as completing an activity 🥲. The actual experience was quite different from what I had imagined. The stargazing at night was not something we participated in, as it was cloudy during our two days in Zhongwei, so I won't comment on that part. Another noticeable difference was service efficiency. For internal shuttle services, I felt Hotel S Tent was more prompt, probably because it has fewer guests. Also, for walking to other places to play or eat, Hotel S Tent's location is more convenient and closer. In terms of price, Desert Star is roughly 3-4 times the price of Hotel S Tent. Considering the rooms, dining, activities, transportation, and overall experience, I personally don't feel that this price difference brought a proportional increase in the experience. So, if I come to Zhongwei again, I will most likely stick with Hotel S Tent. (I don't mind the wind noise too much)

The Starry Sky RV we stayed in had plenty of space and was very clean. There was plenty of hot water for washing, and it also had a smart toilet. Although there are not many programs on TV, the mobile phone signal is still very good and there is no problem surfing the Internet. There were only two problems. One was that the motor of the starry sky ceiling curtain was broken and could only be pushed and pulled by hand. The other was that the air conditioner would automatically shut down after heating for a period of time, resulting in a low temperature inside the RV. Fortunately, there is an electric blanket, so heating is basically no problem. The camp staff are enthusiastic and solve problems in a timely manner. We ordered beef hotpot and dry pot cauliflower for dinner at the restaurant. The price was a bit high, but the taste was okay, and there was a lot of beef. The bonfire and fireworks were nice. There is a fee for outdoor stargazing during the peak season, but I didn't participate due to bad weather. It was fun to have unlimited sandboarding. You didn’t need to bring your own sandboard, and you could pick up sand-digging tools in the camp, all of which were very clean. Overall, it's a good campsite. It was just too windy during the May Day holiday.
