"Friendly staff, but lacked transparency and basic hospitality Our overall stay was average. While the staff was friendly, there were a few communication gaps that impacted our experience: Towel Policy: There was no information in the room regarding towel rentals for outside use. We were unaware that taking room towels out incurred a fee and were only told to pay after the fact. Clearer signage or a mention during check-in would have been much better. Water Policy: I was surprised by how restrictive the hotel was with bottled water. Upon checkout, we asked for two bottles of water for our journey but were told to buy them from a nearby grocery store instead. Considering we had skipped room cleaning for a day (effectively saving the hotel two bottles of water already), this felt unnecessarily stingy and left us with a poor final impression. The service started off well, but the lack of flexibility and transparency on small items made the stay feel less than welcoming."

"For a room costing over 900, you're paying solely for the location. The facilities don't live up to a five-star standard, and the service is even worse. **Facilities:** The soundproofing is terrible; it's incredibly noisy. The constant blare of boat horns is so loud it frequently startles you awake. I'm not a light sleeper, and my partner sleeps very soundly, yet even he was woken up. In the middle of the night, room service rang the doorbell for the room next door, scaring both of us awake. The secondary lock was also broken. Plus, don't bother with the 'signature sea view' – it's partially obstructed. **Cleanliness:** Nothing remarkable, neither good nor bad. **Environment:** It's just a few minutes' walk to the day tour pier. The night market is also nearby, so it definitely boasts an excellent location. If convenience is your priority, this place is a good option. And the public areas are indeed beautiful. **Service:** Be prepared: this isn't a preferred choice for Chinese guests, but rather for Westerners. During check-in, there was a queue of Asian guests, while Western guests were directed to sit down. Only two staff members were handling check-in, and one lady made copies of passports and handed out room cards to these seated guests. I had requested two quiet, adjacent rooms because I was traveling with my parents and wanted to look after them. The front desk told me they only had rooms on the 6th and 2nd floors, mentioning the 6th floor was near the restaurant and thus noisier, while the 2nd floor was better. So, we chose the 2nd floor. Turns out, one room faced the elevator directly, and the other, though a few rooms down, was also very noisy. **Dining:** No discount for hotel guests."

"One of the few resorts in Labuan Bajo that actually comes with its own beach. It was built in 2013, so while it’s not brand new it is only a little over a decade old.  We stayed two rooms for two nights — the whole experience felt relaxing and family-friendly. The resort appears well-maintained: according to recent listing info, it underwent renovations in 2023, which helps keep facilities and overall condition in good shape.  The beach area right in front of the resort is great for morning walks, kayaking, and even snorkeling. Honest feedback: though it’s a beautiful sheltered bay with clear water in the morning, there was unfortunately a noticeable amount of plastic trash along the shoreline. The natural setting is lovely — but the trash did dampen that much-anticipated beachfront vibe. A super helpful tip for future guests: on our last day we kayaked from Sylvia Resort across to a nearby beach area (near the private/restricted beach of a neighbouring property), and the water there — calm and coral-rich — felt like a small marine nursery. We spent about 40–45 minutes snorkeling there: that side-trip was definitely worth it. Overall, staff were helpful, the atmosphere peaceful (far from the busy town center), and the resort offered easy access to the jetty — very convenient for island-hopping tours. "Great location and great room, I did unfortunately have Cockroaches in my room, which I guess is sometimes tough given the setting. But breakfast was reasonable and the view is amazing. There’s no easy access to a beach or pool, so I’d only recommend it for short stays—perfect if you’re just passing through on a tour like I was."

"The staffs were friendly and made you feel welcomed. Didn't expect they will remember your name. Always welcome you when you coming back from outside and asked 'how's your day? How's your trip' The infinity pool was a highlight, stunning ocean view with sunset. Very beautiful hotel, recommended and definitely will love to come back again"

"The hotel is slightly away from main centre . The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help. The rooms are lacking sockets near the bed so if you need to charge phones or else it’s a problem. However, after asking they supplied me with an extension (not pretty but worked ) The pool is lovely and has an amazing view at sunset . The pool has an area which is set up as a pool side bar but unfortunately not set up. There was building work being done which I was warned when booking but didn’t expect them still making noise after 8pm. Breakfast starts at 6 but not total inand items added slowly. I had to take first shuttle bus to airport at 7 and until 645 no eggs or non Indonesian dishes. Shuttle bus driver to airport was also late 10 minutes but luckily airport is close . All said , again the staff were extremely courteous and very apologetic for delays etc. but it’s a shame as hotel has great potential and could do a lot better"

"We had a wonderful stay at Bintang Flores Hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The location is perfect, just a short distance from the Labuan Bajo port, making it very convenient for island tours. The facilities are great, clean and well-maintained, and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Labuan Bajo."

"Good points - Hotel is quite new and spotless, everything looks great and modern - The breakfast was very diverse and of good quality, served on expanded hours 6:00-10:30 - The personnel is extremely kind and friendly - We liked the breathtaking views and the two pools - The day tour with the hotel boat was amazing, well worth Areas for improvement - WiFi is extremely slow and unreliable, connecting dropping constantly and making it impossible to stream content or do a work call - There is also poor cellular connection hence my 4G card was of no help to solve this issue - The two restaurants felt a bit “basic” and after a few days were a bit tired. An expanded and more refined cuisine would be welcome - Despite hotel being quite new and everything looking great, the building itself seems of poor build quality as we could hear the people next door speaking, steps and noises from upper and lower floors, and even road noise from across the stress from the main door corridor"

"The hotel has an excellent location, close to restaurants and cafes, as well as the port where Komodo Island excursions depart. The rooms are well-equipped, quite clean, and pleasant to stay in. If you book a room on the upper floors, you can enjoy a view of the bay. There are also rooms with a small kitchen. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful; they assisted with organizing transfers to and from the hotel/airport. If you're a light sleeper, earplugs would be useful as there's a mosque nearby."
