"Grand City Hall Medan is a genuinely impressive hotel and one of the better luxury stays in Medan. From the moment you arrive, you can immediately tell that this is a true five-star property. The lobby is constantly busy and lively, yet everything feels organised and well controlled. Despite the number of guests coming and going, the hotel maintains a polished and professional atmosphere. The room was excellent and easily one of the highlights of the stay. It was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. Having access to the indoor pool added an extra touch of luxury and made the experience feel even more premium. The amenities provided were of good quality and reflected the hotel’s upscale positioning. The facilities are another strong point. The swimming pool is spacious and inviting, while the gym is large, well-equipped, and has everything needed for a proper workout. The hotel’s location is also fantastic, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and places of interest within walking distance, making it convenient for both leisure and business travellers. Breakfast offers a very large selection of dishes, with plenty of local and international options available. While the variety is impressive, the taste of most items was simply decent rather than exceptional. There is certainly something for everyone, but the food itself doesn’t quite reach the same high standard as the rest of the hotel experience. Unfortunately, we experienced an accident during breakfast service. To the hotel’s credit, the staff handled the immediate situation quite well. We were promptly moved to another table and complimentary coffees were provided, which was appreciated. However, it felt like the incident should have been escalated further to management, where a more meaningful service recovery could have been considered. That said, the incident did not significantly affect our overall impression of the hotel. The quality of the rooms, facilities, and overall experience still stood out. Grand City Hall Medan delivers the comfort, amenities, and level of service expected from a five-star property, and it remains a hotel that I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Medan."

"I recently stayed at Swiss-Belinn Medan and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Medan, making it easy to access nearby shopping areas, restaurants, and local attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities provided. The bed was cozy, and housekeeping did a good job ensuring everything stayed tidy throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, polite, and always willing to assist with any requests, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast was quite good, offering a decent variety of local and international dishes. The dining area was also clean and well-organized. One area for improvement would be the Wi-Fi connection, which could be a bit unstable at times. Additionally, the room size might feel slightly compact for longer stays, but it is still sufficient for short trips. Overall, Swiss-Belinn Medan offers good value for money, especially for business or short leisure stays. I would consider staying here again on my next visit to Medan."

"The Hotel is super good .. Everything are amazing.. But we face a scamming that we opened our safe to arrange some documents and cash then the housekeeping team arrived to cleanup … So i let them enter the room for cleaning but I didn’t close the safe since we are in the room in that time. The safe located inside the closet the one you can walk in .. After they finished the cleaning We find 200 USD from our cash in the safe .. The cleaning team put the new laundry bag right on the top of the safe (in that time it was open) and now body noticed us that the safe is open …!!! I submitted a complaint to the front office of the hotel …!!! And i I described the cleaning staff to them exactly, and who was the person who entered the wardrobe containing the safe...!!! They said they would investigate the incident, and after two days they contacted me again saying they had questioned the cleaning staff, who denied taking anything from our safe...!!! And of course, we didn't find anything... which is obvious because no one would confess in this way without being pressured. And here's the question: why didn't the cleaning staff warn us that the safe was open when they went in to put the new laundry bag on top of it?"

"Overall stay is good but the amenities like bath towel is shabby and faded white color, no face towel n small towel. breakfast is really ‘local indonesian’ style . I ordered room service for dinner and its good👍. I am staying at pool terrace and view is superb at night. I love the view."

"Very friendly and hospitable team from the moment we arrived til we left. Clean and large swimming pool. Large rooms but they really need a facelift as it’s really rundown. Air condition wasn’t working really well, they were quick to try and fix it but only helped a little - can’t fault the staffs but again, can tell the age of the hotel. Was also told we were given 2 non-smoking rooms but turned out one of them was on a smoking floor, so that wasn’t ideal."

"Things I like: The bed, shower and cozyness of the room. Water supply (hot water) and air circulation in the bathroom - closet have no smell at all, As well as the fact that they provide a free parking space for the guest who brings car, Things I love: Breakfast menu...... more than enough options, all of those foods I ate are delicious (If not super delicious), Provision of drinking water with a water dispenser As well as the staffs hospitality - top notch... Things I dont really like: TV program, nothing interesting for me and not useful at all Too less power outlet and the fact that there is too small table for the kettle and water bottle....."

"Well, everything was good. The only thing which caused clients to wait for a long time to get in the elevator, because there's only 1 elevator for almost 23 floors. The rest was good including staffs. Thanks to all"

"We stayed here this time for 3 nights. We had stayed here a couple of times before. The hotel maintains its hospitality, warmness and courtious reception of customers. It was quite easy to check in and out. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were friendlyand warm. There are little things that should be paid attention to such as the menu for breakfast.. Although the spread is good but there should be some variation/changes. Overall staying here you get value for your money."
