Anonymous UserHotel 61 Medan is a budget-friendly hotel in central Medan that offers decent comfort, a strategic location, and affordable room rates.
The hotel’s biggest advantage is its location. Many guests mention that it is close to Plaza Medan Fair, Indomaret, AW, and airport transportation routes, making it convenient for me to exploring the city.
Room quality is considered good for the price, with spacious suite rooms, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and breakfast included, suitable for family stays or business trips.
Overall, Hotel 61 Medan is a solid option if you are looking for an affordable stay in a convenient area of Medan. It may not offer luxury facilities, but it provides reasonable comfort and value for budget-conscious travelers.

Great value for money stay in Medan!
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, especially considering the affordable price. One of the highlights is that breakfast is included, which makes the stay even more worthwhile.
However, there are a couple of downsides. The soundproofing isn’t very good, as the hotel is located near the main street. I could hear motorcycles passing by quite clearly, even late at night, which might be an issue for light sleepers. Also, the hairdryer provided is quite weak and takes a long time to dry hair.

Stayed for two nights. The hotel has a good foundation: the overall layout, decoration, and decoration are generous, classical style, the service of the service staff is also very good, the facilities are complete, and the location is also very good. If I have to give suggestions, I suggest that the hotel do a thorough cleaning, clear out the rest, and only leave the precious historical accumulation. I have a basis for saying this. The Orchid Hotel in Chiang Mai and the Speed Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap, where I stayed not long ago, are both classic old hotels, but they are both relatively refreshing and comfortable. I hope Antares can also be rejuvenated!

ItchyButtA new hidden gem in Medan... Elais by Artotel. A brand new hotel less than a month old as of review time. Renovations are still at work.. but they make sure everything is top notch during your stay... From the front desk , the F&B staff, housekeeping and security... All is good...
For F&B.. the Soto Medan for breakfast is to die for.. nice...
If you are a light sleeper.. do ask for room beyond the X07 or further from the lift... As probably over the weekend .. the cafe across the road has love music that might be loud for u..
Other than that.. it's all good.. the better ARToTEL in Medan

It's easy to book a room, the only difficult thing is to find the owner of the room, maybe it's because of the personal order of people, so it's a bit complicated, I can't take my partner through the reservation, It's ok gpp. The room is fully equipped anyway. I like it.

Affordable basic room but clean enough ( some ants though). Location is central within 20min walking radius of major malls ( Plaza Medan Fair/Sun/Cambridge), Damri airport bus ( in front of Plaza Medan Fair), family massage/reflexology outlets (Jl.Orion), and the popular medan cakes outlets eg ”bika ambon” (Zulaikha)/”bolu” (Meranti).
Car park is available with security.
However, the complimentary breakfast is only set without selection option.

Overall room and bed consider clean, but not their toilet 😥 The cloths hanger is rusty and you will feel disgusting to hang your cloths. And the wall and floor tiles, toilet bowl are super yellowish which I think they have not maintanence well. The most important is THERE IS NO WATER HEATER while the weather is freaking cold there 😥 But, this is budgetary hotel, depend on your choose. We just stay for like few hours and leave to continue our journey.
