Ulaanbaatar Hotels with Kitchens

"The hotel exceeded our expectations! We booked a room for 3 adults and 1 child on our way to Ulaanbaatar. It's not centrally located, but in a quiet area near the train station. This suited us perfectly since we had our own car, and a great bonus was the private parking right outside our window. There's also a CU convenience store nearby for essentials. The breakfast was simple but filling, with Chinese cuisine. It’s best to go around 8 AM, though the chef does replenish dishes later. Our room had a kitchenette, but no sink or necessary utensils, just a fridge (which we didn't use) and a kettle. The room itself was very spacious and clean. Housekeeping came every day. We either had no neighbors or the soundproofing was excellent, as we didn't hear a thing. The only downside was that the radiators were cold, so it was a bit chilly. However, since we were only there to sleep and have breakfast, we barely noticed it. I definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a good, quiet place with breakfast and private parking at a great price!"

"Located in the prime location with meters away from the Sukhbaatar square and prime restaurants and bar at its downstairs, this hotel provides ultra luxury experience for travellers and business people alike. The concierge people are very friendly and went a step ahead by helping me get a free local SIM card. The breakfast is good but its the same menu all the day and some may feel bored of the repetitive food items on every morning. The room is clean, spacious with a smart television and a nice bathroom with separated dry and wet areas."

"Really Disappointing Communication, But Decent Hostel Overall I contacted the hotel through Trip.com a week before my arrival but they never responded. I also sent two direct emails with no reply, and when I tried calling, the number didn’t work, not even when a Mongolian with a local SIM card tried. They claim to offer a shuttle service, but my request was ignored, then rejected bia trip.com, and I had to arrange my own transport. Only ONE HOUR BEFORE my flight departed did they finally message me saying they could arrange it, which was far too late to be useful. Also they couldn't be trusted at all. Communication and customer service were extremely extremely poor. Wondering if they ignore requests on purpose and they just cant be bothered replying to emails and messages? My check-in was quite late, around 1:00 am, and since their website says check-in is only until midnight, I just wanted confirmation it was okay, but they ignored all my messages. That said, the hostel itself is decent. The capsule beds are comfortable, even though my USB charger did not work. The showers are ok, and breakfast was ok too. Special thanks to the morning reception ladies who were kind and helped me get a Unitel SIM card. To be noted that it is not even allowed to drink alcohol in the lobby, not even to quietly have a beer with someone else. I understand it is not a party hostel, but this rule feels a bit exaggerated. Left after 1 night and went somewhere else where they offered a much better service"

"The hotel's overall environment is indeed excellent; it's clean, tidy, and well-equipped, though the lack of breakfast service might affect some guests' experience. However, both the staff's service attitude and the room comfort are commendable. If the hotel could add breakfast service in the future, I believe it would attract even more guests. Overall, this hotel is still worth recommending, and I look forward to seeing it improve further."

"The hotel was in a central good location. Staff didn’t speak much English and were a bit quiet. Rooms were good but no light switch next to the beds. The bed linen didn’t got changed in 7 days but we got water and new towels every day. Ulaan batar seems to be everywhere pretty expensive so not only our hotel I guess."

"We only stayed here during a long layover. It was a great location and only 30 minutes from the airport. Staff was super friendly. We originally got a smoking room but were able to change it with no problem. Breakfast was good with alot of choices. Staff spoke excellent English. Room large, temperature control didn’t work so well - but small problem for us since we were only there a short time."

"I stayed at this small but nice GH for three days. This GH has three four-bed rooms, which is always neatly maintained. Above all, the owner is a very good-natured man with an excellent command of English, who always tries to help his guests with travel tips. I have stayed at many guesthouses around the world over the past four decades. I think the Hostelone is fully worth being recommended. I hope there will be any vacancy when I come back to Ulaanbatar after my trip around Mongolia."

"Aurora Hotel is a relatively new hotel in Ulaanbaatar, located along Peace Avenue in the western part of UB City. It is about 15mins walk to an Emart and it is also pretty easy to book a taxi/cab using UBcab mobile app to get around as visitors. I highly recommend Aurora Hotel for short visits to Ulaanbaatar, despite it's non-central location. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a decent variety and quality. Khulan Restaurant on the 2nd floor also serves good Mongolian cuisine. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were served breakfast in our room during the Tsagaan Sar festival and it was a generous portion. Unfortunately during our visit, the gym and sauna were closed and we weren't able to use them."
