"Facilities was superb Staff was extremely welcoming Every thing was within walking distance Location of property was perfect in relation to Train Station"
"Good location close to the station. No on-site parking. NCP close enough, but nearly £15 per day. A Premier Inn, so you know what you're going to get. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a converted building, so access to the room was a bit tortuous, but really no bother. Not far to the city centre and a convenience store close by"
"Perfect location right next to the railway station. Wetherspoons is around 2 mins from Premier Inn. City centre is 20 mins away. 5/5 for service, cleanliness and smooth checkin and early baggage drop service was great!"
"The front desk is extremely friendly and professional, making you feel treated equally and very comfortable. I’ll definitely return because of the front desk’s attitude. Additionally, the hotel is pet-friendly, and if you notify them in advance, they provide dog beds and bowls. There are also gardens where you can take your dog for a walk, and there are designated areas to dine with your pet, making it all very convenient and enjoyable. Moreover, the toilets feature underfloor heating, which makes for a most comfortable experience during the winter months! 推荐所有人来这家酒店,前台很耐心一视同仁,宠物友好酒店、狗狗小狗友好!完全自发写了评论,平时懒得写,虽然英文评论是ai润色的,但是内容是我想说的。"
"Fantastic friendly staff and lovely, modern, clean and well kept rooms and hotel. Would stay again. Location was very good but not perfect hence the 4/5."
"Get off the train at York and literally straight into this fab hotel. A step back in time with beautiful lounges to eat and drink in. Stunning gardens. Beautiful feel of Xmas with stunning trees and decorations. The New Year's Eve main meal was lovely, but would give the starter a miss, valute not for us. More plus's than negative's. Garden view room was cold with old sash windows, but comfy bed and clean room. Lovely view"
"Had a lovely stay at the Hampton by Hilton. Everything was fine and the Hotel is in an ideal quiet location just off the main road, near the station and main centre of York. Only disappointment was the lack of evening snacks and deserts. We had to end up having a packet of Jaffa cakes!! Very poor, also no evening Restaurant ."

GGuest UserWe were lucky enough to obtain an upgrade to a suite - and I have to say my wife and I were very impressed with the room. A wonderful four poster bed, the room design was unusual but most appreciated - one of my favourites to have stayed in. The hotel in general gave a good impression with good design features. Do be aware that there is not a lift available for all floors - but we were promptly asked if we needed any assistance. All interactions with the staff were friendly and professional - and for a couple of requests staff were always willing to work out how to help us. Breakfast - from a menu with a good selection available and friendly service. Car parking is available but you are advised to call the hotel to book a space (we did and grateful we did as it was otherwise full). It is not cheap at GBP25 a night - but the nearby public car park is a similar price - that is York car park prices.
GGuest UserBeautiful hotel, staff so helpful, clean room very soft bed rooms have iron-hairdryer tea coffee & kitkat on arrival. Good breakfast choice.
GGuest UserThe place was very opulent indeed! We were very happy with our stay. Initially Tammy the receptionist told us that there were limited slots for the spa and restaurant. However the hotel was virtually empty. A party of 16 guests was in during our stay but the hotel was definitely not busy at all. We therefore had to rush to have dinner and only enjoy an hour of our spa visit instead of 2 hours allocated. She told us the only spa slot was 7-9pm (we were the only ones in there) and dinner they only had 6:45, 7 and 7:15pm meaning we got an hour for food and an hour in the spa. This wasn’t a huge issue as we didn’t need more than an hour in the spa. The steamroom was useless. No steam at all even though the attendant reset it. Sauna was great and pool was great. Changing facilities were lovely. Food was nice 8/10. The Amuse-bouche was delicious and a complimentary starter. The mrs loved her venison. My steak was average and the chips also average. Pricey at £92 for the one course but to be expected as the place is very luxurious. Staff were brilliant. Very professional and polite. Breakfast was decent. Staff again were brilliant and boxed one up as the mrs was getting ready we wouldn’t have made the 10am cut off.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed for comfort. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. A perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!
KKimTinaWe loved our stay at hotel Indigo York, this is the second time we have stayed there. the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. the room is clean and the breakfast was amazing.
GGuest UserPerfect location close to the train station Easy check-in with lovely staff. Room was fine for us and a short walk to city centre, we didn't need any taxis. Lovely bar area with views.
LLow Siong Lye 27052025I had a comfortable stay at the Holiday Inn York. The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute ride from the train station using bus 840 or 843, which made getting there fairly easy. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, providing a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring. The only drawback is the distance to the Hop On Hop Off bus pick-up point. We either had to take another bus or walk about 20 minutes to reach the nearest stop, which wasn’t always ideal. Overall, the hotel offers good comfort and cleanliness, but travelers relying on sightseeing buses should plan for a bit of extra travel time.
CChin Lian LeePerfect stay! Room is very spacious and very clean. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The location is very strategic as well. Walkable to tourist spots and eatries. The buffer breakfast is beyond expectations! We enjoyed our breakfast. Highly recommended.
AAnonymous UserRoom was good, loved that the leisure centre was open till late so could get time at the pool and jacuzzi even after sight seeing. Breakfast was great, nice continental selection, and a picturesque view from the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive. A potential improvement could be the hot water control in the shower - ours was a Deluxe room with bath. The temperature was either scalding hot or ice cold - there was no in-between.
GGuest UserHotel was located across the road from the city walls. A 5min walk to the University of York St John. The amenities at the hotel were excellent. It had a small gym located opposite the main reception where guests had 24 hr reception. There was parking available on site at a cost of £25 for 24hr parking. May be cheaper elsewhere but it was very convenient. Staff allowed us to park for extra few hours free of charge. Although we did not pay for breakfast on site it was very well stocked and wildly used by other guests. Room was clean and modern. The A/C was not that affective and did not cool the room down. Which made it a little uncomfortable to sleep at night. It was a hot day and the room was located in a loft conversion. Heat would not normally be an issue.
