"Good location close to the station. No on-site parking. NCP close enough, but nearly £15 per day. A Premier Inn, so you know what you're going to get. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a converted building, so access to the room was a bit tortuous, but really no bother. Not far to the city centre and a convenience store close by"

Additionally, the hotel is pet-friendly, and if you notify them in advance, they provide dog beds and bowls. There are also gardens where you can take your dog for a walk, and there are designated areas to dine with your pet, making it all very convenient and enjoyable. "Get off the train at York and literally straight into this fab hotel. A step back in time with beautiful lounges to eat and drink in. Stunning gardens. Beautiful feel of Xmas with stunning trees and decorations. The New Year's Eve main meal was lovely, but would give the starter a miss, valute not for us. More plus's than negative's. Garden view room was cold with old sash windows, but comfy bed and clean room. Lovely view"

"Had a lovely stay at the Hampton by Hilton. Everything was fine and the Hotel is in an ideal quiet location just off the main road, near the station and main centre of York. Only disappointment was the lack of evening snacks and deserts. We had to end up having a packet of Jaffa cakes!! Very poor, also no evening Restaurant ."
