It's 20 minutes from Kawaguchiko Train Station. The cabins are very nice, and the place is very quiet, away from the noise. You can rent a bicycle and go for a ride to the village and see the beautiful view of Mount Fuji. They have a restaurant in the hotel. I went alone, but it's also perfect if you're accompanied. The man and woman are very kind and nice. They treat you wonderfully. I had to return a day before my departure, but they did me the favor of taking me to the train station—such a kind and beautiful gesture that showcased the human side and culture of Japan. It has a beautiful view of the lake, and there you can organize more tours around the village. Thank you for everything.

— Bikes available for rent. — A 2-minute walk from the bus stop. — There are two bus stops: one for Kawaguchiko and one for the Saiko sightseeing loop. — It takes about 30 minutes by bus from Kawaguchiko Station to the accommodation. Be aware that the last bus leaves quite early. — You can also ask a staff member to drive you. — On the day we checked in, a group of deer appeared outside the accommodation at 7 PM. — The downstairs bathroom is a good size and has a bathtub. However, the bathroom door itself can't be locked; only the outer washroom door can. — No password needed for the Wi-Fi, but you have to reconnect every hour. — The heater in the room emitted a strong smell of burnt fuel, which was unpleasant. — There was an insect on the wall near the door in the room, on the floor. — The road outside is poorly lit; it gets so dark you can barely see your hand in front of you. I recommend bringing a flashlight when going out. — There's a coffee machine. — It's very quiet in the vicinity. — The downstairs toilet area seemed to have no heating, making it extremely cold to use at night. — The staff can communicate in English and even gave me an apple.

Booked the Bao accommodation and our family enjoyed the glamping experience. Inside was cosy and warm, bed was comfy and clean. We checked in quite late, it was going dark and cold, so we did not have much time exploring the place. We ordered the BBQ dinner set and they helped a bit with setting up the BBQ. It was just beside the Bao but we didn't expect it to be so cold and we have to start the fireplace ourselves with wood provided. It was a great experience but I feel it would be better if we went just before winter. Loved the free onsen I went with my daughter but it is a long walk (slightly less than 10mins) from the Bao to it. Would be good if it is nearer as it's pitch dark and cold to walk to it at night.

✅ **Pros:** Unobstructed, panoramic views of Mount Fuji directly from the room's floor-to-ceiling windows, perfect for stargazing in winter – I even managed to capture Orion this time! There's a shuttle bus service to and from Kawaguchiko Station (approx. 10-minute ride). ❌ **Cons:** No lake view and a bit far from Lake Kawaguchiko. Getting around freely at night is extremely inconvenient; after major events like the firework festival, taxis are scarce, and walking paths are dimly lit and unsafe. The shuttle bus operates on a fixed schedule (usually until 7:30 PM at the latest), and there are no convenient alternatives if you miss it. Next time I visit Fuji, I'll definitely choose a hotel with both lake and mountain views 🏨

Every time I go to Japan, I stay in a hot spring hotel. In fact, I can try this relatively western-style hotel. This hotel is divided into the main building and the new building. The main building sells nostalgic colors. Basically, the furniture and buried rooms are relatively dilapidated, but it is still considered clean. In terms of the new building, the decoration is obviously more modern than the main building, and it has also set up a lot of different furnishings and decorations. The rooms are also larger, but of course the price is more expensive. The hotel itself serves French meals, and the dinner is a four-course French meal, including appetizers, soup, main courses and desserts. The waitresses will also help you take a picture during the evening meal, and they will take a photo with you The check out day is given to you as a souvenir, and it has a few characteristics. In fact, there is a beach across the road outside the hotel. At night, you will see many people park their cars on the beach, and then stay there for camping and cooking. It feels chill! There is a coffee machine in front of the hotel. It turns out that the coffee machine is provided free of charge for guests to drink. Although it seems that you have to pay for it, you can’t get into the money rack. You can drink coffee directly by pressing the button㗎 la!

It's too remote. There are few buses to the destination, only four buses a day. It's very inconvenient unless you drive yourself. The restaurant downstairs is too expensive. The taste is okay. The service is pretty good. The private bathroom room does not have a separate bath, only a shower Bathing is public

MM238400****I booked this room specifically for the Mt. Fuji view. It was much cheaper than other hotels in the area, but really, all you're getting is the view and a place to sleep. I hadn't booked a room with an outdoor hot spring, but there wasn't even a bathtub in the bathroom, nor a large public bath. For this price, I really think there should be a tub. For meals, sukiyaki was the only option, so thankfully I'd bought some ready-to-eat meals at 7-Eleven. The view was good though.

GGuest UserExtremely mediocre, nothing good about it except for the nice view outside. The room was small, there was no service, and the food was unappetizing with no variety. There were also tour groups. I don't recommend it, especially since the bathroom was tiny and unclean. It's the worst onsen hotel I've stayed at in Japan.

BBuzhisuocuorickyThe location is excellent, and the view of Mount Fuji from the room is exactly as advertised – what you see is what you get. The hotel is a bit far from Kawaguchiko Station, but they offer a complimentary shuttle service. I actually just happened to catch the shuttle at the station without a prior reservation. The hotel facilities are indeed a bit dated, but it's still a good choice if your main purpose is to see Mount Fuji. I took a brief stroll around the hotel, and there aren't many convenience stores or restaurants nearby, so I recommend booking a package that includes breakfast and dinner. The hotel has a large communal bath (onsen), which I believe requires a fee, though I didn't use it. They also provide a beautiful set of Japanese yukata, and many guests wear them directly to dinner after their bath. The food selection isn't extensive, so if you're worried about the taste, I suggest bringing some snacks or instant noodles. Upon checkout, the hotel also provides a shuttle service; just let the front desk know after checking out, and you can wait in the lobby.

GGuest UserWas upgraded to a huge 4 person suite because weather was acting up so I think people cancelled. But nonetheless was happy with the resort. Didn’t stay long (only one day) but would want to stay more for the ammenities (tennis courts and such). Location is not convenient for anything else to be honest, requires a taxi or a booked bus service to get to town.

UUltiSLJHotel sells some souvenirs at its lobby, which is quite interesting. The room is a little run down because my room already had some broken stuff when I checked in. Amenities are rather standard, though there was an ‘onsen fee’ of ¥150 per night per guest that I had to pay. View from room is amazing though. Mount Fuji sitting on top of a forest. Talk about waking up with a view! Carpark had enough lots, though I was surprised when it was full on one night as late January should be a off-peak season. There’s also a few huge stores such as supermarket nearby, which is great for budget meals! (It too has a nice view of Mount Fuji)

Jjoeykhor97We had a wonderful stay at Royal Hotel Kawaguchiko with our family. The overall experience was very pleasant and relaxing. The meals were perfect—beautifully prepared and very satisfying. One of the highlights was the onsen located on the ground floor, which was clean, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing after a long day. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and welcoming, making it a great choice for families. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again when visiting Kawaguchiko.

LlastmintrvlWe booked this stay for the in-house public hot bath and the lakeside advantage. Check-in was smooth and fast with the staff providing a lot of information, events happening nearby and the different attractions. They spoke good English and was very helpful and informative. The room was disappointing though. It was old, no functional furnitures. The seat covers were very old and with stains. Tv was too small for the size of the room. No convenient outlet near, we used a outlet that was meant for a lamp. Bedding was comfortable though. It is based on traditional house style. The bath was wonderful, not crowded at all. Dont think its worth the price with its current fixtures and furnishing. Unless it was the room that faces the lake but for that they will charge extra.

EErngloveJapanese style hotel. A bit old and outdated but I think it's charming with Tatami, futon and closet like where Doraemon sleep. If you arrive at station after 3 pm you can call hotel for free pick up service, just 10-15 mins then they're there. We've got a room at 10th floor so bit of a walk from main building to our room but it's fine there, great view of Fuji and lake. Room were nice in Japanese style like I ever read in manga. Our rate were breakfast and dinner included. Then they arranged for you as the time you prefer. Excellent food and super good service! Even they speak 99% only Japanese but service is extraordinary. Don't miss the onsen too, cool experience to take a bath with a view. They also have shuttle service to train station , just ask reception ,free of charge.
