"The hotel is right across the water but please note that the taxi might refuse to take u up the ramp so if u have heavy luggages make sure to have the hotel talk to the taxi because it’s a bit of a slope and the street is made of pebbles so it’s hard to wheel the suitcases The staff is extremely friendly and helpful especially Mr Luiz Guilherme The breakfast and afternoon tea and local baked goods are both included in the room rate and both the selection and quality is really good they even have lactose free milk at breakfast."

"Hotel right in the center and 3 min walking distance from the river. Big room although a bit oldish. Coffee maker and water bottle in the room. Friendly staff"

"Our experience was entirely positive. The location was perfect for visit being in the heart of Ribeira. The facilities fully met our expectations- with a comfortable room and bed and an excellent shower. The breakfasts were first class with a good range of dishes available. And importantly, the staff were always helpful from check-in through to respinding to the various small requests we had during our 3 night stay."

"Location was great but it’s an uphill walk to visit many of the attractions of Porto but there is public transportation although we opted to walk instead. It is close to the Douro River and a close walk over to Gaia via the bridge. The hotel is modern with an elevator comfortable furniture but there is limited surface area in the bathroom or bedroom (like a nightstand or desk) to store and use personal items like shaving kit or makeup. Bathroom is up a set of stairs not great for older travelers. Loved the security of the hotel and employees were very helpful. Close to many shops and restaurants. Safe to walk during the day and evening. We ate breakfast at the hotel a couple of the days we were there and it’s convenient but pricey at 18 euros a person."
