Hotels near Ponta Grande Beach, Albufeira

This was a wonderful honeymoon holiday in the Algarve. Thanks to the wonderful hospitality of the W Algarve staff. They were all so friendly and sharing recommendations on where to visit across the Algarve. The breakfast was delicious too. The hotel gave us a few surprises upon arrival (decorating bed with rose petals, congratulatory messages / writings on the walls and a portugese red wine front Duoro valley. What a great way to start the holiday. Furthermore, the W Algarve were extremely helpful on making lunch/dinner bookings in restaurants across Algarve. It felt like a private Concierge and we were very grateful for it. Hip and Portuguese design. Certainly would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Algarve. MUST have a rental car, there isn't much around within walking distance.

Lovely  new large hotel in a quiet area, not far from the W Algarve. The hotel was super clean, with large rooms, and the continental breakfast was decent with a good variety of options.I didn’t opt for the buffet dinner, as it was easier to order a nice burger from the bar, which was really tasty. I also tried the Portuguese steak sandwich, which just wasn’t to my liking, but the staff kindly changed it for the burger instead.The pool and spa areas were also spacious and well maintained.You do need an Uber or a car to get around, as there are very few shops nearby. There is one nice restaurant next door and a sports bar close by.The staff could have been a bit more enthusiastic or forthcoming with hotel information, although the manager Andrea, was especially helpful and lovely to talk to. As it was off-season, the hotel was very quiet, and the weather was a bit chilly, so the pools were not really in use. I would definitely visit again if the price was good.

Everything was perfect and no kids was a plus, a top class hotel absolutely fabulous

From the warm welcome at reception to the spotless, fresh-smelling room with a charming balcony, everything was perfect. The bar food was delicious, and the location couldn’t be better—surrounded by great restaurants. Plus, parking was hassle-free with plenty of spots!

Basic accommodation. Staff were pretty helpful, Terrance was very inactive the night I was there though has potential.

Traveling during the off-season was fantastic; the room was spacious and the breakfast was delicious.

Facilities: A comfortable resort hotel with sauna, gym, and swimming pool. Location: Excellent! A short taxi ride to the beach and bus station takes less than ten minutes. Service: Excellent. The front desk staff were very friendly. We booked a dolphin-watching tour through them, which was perfect; we saw the rare Rissler dolphins! They also thoughtfully recommended nearby restaurants. Thank you! Environment: We went at the end of November. It was less crowded and the scenery was beautiful. The sunrise view from the hotel balcony was stunning!

The hotel is conveniently located. We got a huge apartment with a separate bedroom and a balcony overlooking the sea. Unfortunately, it was on the ground floor, but that wasn't a problem. A good supermarket is a 10-minute walk away. The nearest beach is 2 minutes away, and there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of new dishes, a frying pan, and pots in excellent condition, along with a new electric stove. The internet worked without any issues. Some downsides: no slippers, tiled floors, no drinking water in the room, and no toothbrushes. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in November, and it was inexpensive. The room was clean. If you're on a budget, this is a great option.
