Our stay was absolutely fantastic! This is one of the most unique hotels we've ever stayed in. The room had its own balcony, and the entire space exuded a wonderful old Chinese aesthetic, making us feel incredibly comfortable and as if we'd stepped back in time the moment we walked in. We genuinely loved the room itself. It was clean and tidy, and we didn't spot a single bug during our entire stay, which put us completely at ease. Most of the essentials we needed were provided, making it very convenient. What touched us most were the two landladies; they were incredibly warm, friendly, and thoughtful! They greeted us enthusiastically upon arrival and even prepared some delicious treats for us. They were also kind enough to lend us Hanfu for photos, which created truly beautiful memories ❤️. Throughout our stay, the landladies kept in touch with us via WeChat, so we could communicate any issues anytime, and their responses were always prompt. This made the entire check-in and stay process very reassuring. In short, this accommodation experience was truly amazing! If we ever return to this area, we'll definitely stay here again. If we could give 10 stars, we wouldn't hesitate to give 10 stars! ✨

The owner of the guesthouse is so kind, arranged a pickup at the train station for me and also offered to accompany me to the train station after my stay. Also the room itself is super comfortable, with a/c and a big bedroom. It is not directly in the city center but 10 min walking, which was a plus for me because at night it was really quiet. It was the most comfortable night for me in china so far.

An Absolute Gem for Travelers! ✨ I had the most wonderful stay here! As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly safe and welcome from the moment I arrived. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, and it’s nestled in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood which was perfect for getting a peaceful night's rest. The owner is genuinely one of the friendliest and most accommodating hosts I’ve ever met! Even though I was just traveling light with a backpack, he still kindly provided pick-up and drop-off services right from the train station, which was a massive plus and made my arrival so effortless. And as the sweetest bonus, he even gave me some fresh watermelon to enjoy before heading to the train station on my last day. Talk about amazing hospitality! 🍉 The location is also fantastic, just a few minutes from the center. I actually loved being slightly outside the main hub because it meant I got to enjoy wandering the charming, quieter streets nearby while still being super close to all the action. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect, welcoming home away from home. If you are traveling in Furon, do yourself a favor and book this place! I will definitely be back!

Facilities: Excellent. Cleanliness: Very clean, no issues there. Environment: Fantastic, even though it's not within the scenic area, the value for money is great. Service: Excellent, with complimentary high-speed rail and scenic area shuttle services, which saved a lot of hassle. This was my first time choosing accommodation outside of a scenic area, and I was worried about the inconvenience of getting a taxi. However, the hotel offers free shuttle services, which made things incredibly convenient. Although it's not directly in the scenic area, the value for money is just as good as other accommodations. Highly recommended! Fantastic!

Cool property! It’s an old building, so insulation is not existing, so keeping the climate nice it’s a bit of a balance. But the stay is absolutely unique and the location could not be better. Yes, you don’t have a direct view on the waterfall, but you don’t need that when you are in this town. You get it from all the restaurants and from the walking around. The view from this hotel is also absolutely fantastic, to the bridge and to the village. The rooms are spacious and the staff is very nice. We will come back.

Stayed June 2026 — 5/5, would book again I picked Baihe River Valley because it sits right inside the core scenic area of Furong Town, and that turned out to be the best decision of the trip. The inn is only about a 5-minute walk to the Grand Waterfall, opened in 2020 with just 21 rooms, so it feels small and personal rather than a big hotel. First impression: awesome staff. I was met at the entrance, luggage carried up, and even though my Mandarin is limited we sorted everything on WeChat in two minutes. That matches what other guests keep saying — “really friendly and helpful… view was amazing and rooms clean”, and “staff are so lovely, kind and helpful”. They also arranged a free pickup from the train station and dropped me back the next morning, which took all the stress out of arriving in the ancient town. The environment is exactly what you hope for in Furong. Chinese-style décor, warm wood, and it’s spotless — 24-hour hot water, strong WiFi everywhere, daily housekeeping. My mountain-view queen room was 25m², quiet, no dust, bed made perfectly each day. Others note the same: “room is clean and bed was comfortable”. Food was a real highlight. The in-house restaurant runs a la carte from 07:30 to 19:30 with outdoor tables, and breakfast is Chinese-style 07:30–09:30. I tried their Tujia national cuisine in the evening — simple, hearty, locally sourced — and the home-cooked breakfast the next morning was tasty and warming, just as another guest described. Breakfast was “nice” is an understatement when you’re eating it with the waterfall mist in the air. And the views. One of a kind is not marketing. From my third-floor window I could see the tiled roofs of Furong Ancient Town, and at night the whole gorge lights up. The hotel is positioned “very well, close to the waterfall at 5 minutes walk”, and I was upgraded to a room looking down onto the ancient town — “particularly amazing at night”. Waking up to the roar of the falls, drinking tea on the balcony, watching the lights reflect off the river — that’s the memory I’ll keep. Practical bits: 24/7 front desk, check-in after 12:00, check-out before 14:00, free shuttle service available, pets allowed, and the staff will help with town entry tickets. Overall: friendly people who actually care, great local food, an impeccably clean and calm base, and waterfall views you can’t get anywhere else. It’s currently rated 9.5/10 from 757 reviews, and after staying, I get why. If you want to experience Furong Town without the crowds and noise, stay here — and ask for a mountain-view room on floor 3 or 4.

The Perfect View & Peaceful Escape in Furong Town If you are visiting Furong Ancient Town, Nianxi Courtyard is an exceptional choice. It offers the perfect balance of proximity and peace. The Location: It is much more accessible than expected—less than a 2-minute walk from the main road and a quick 3-minute stroll down the slope to the town entrance. This is a huge advantage because the ancient town can be very noisy with live music from open-air pubs; staying here allows you to enjoy the quiet while being just steps away from the action. 1) The Room & Views: The rooms are super clean and modern. The absolute highlight is the balcony and garden, which offer stunning views of Furong Town illuminated at night. It’s a breathtaking sight to enjoy with a cup of tea. Also it is newly renovated. 2) Exceptional Hospitality: The owner lives on-site, making the property feel very safe. She went above and beyond, lighting the path for us for night walks and recommending a fantastic restaurant with river views and local cuisine. We were even treated to fresh seasonal tangerines for our walks and breakfast! 3) Transport Logistics: Since public buses aren't readily available. We took taxi to the place. The owner can arranged a very reasonably priced private transfer for us when we wanted to head back to the station. Always inform in advance so that it will be not at others inconvenience. 4) Pro Tip: Don't miss the local performances at the square (throughout the day, do check on the schedule) and riverside in the evening—they are a must-see! Sad that we stayed only 1 night. But Furong is enough for a 1 day trip unless extended stay is to more of a relax and be lazy trip.

Everything was perfect, the room are nice and clean, the location is very close to the ancient town, just around the corner… but the plus are the owners, they are so sweet, always smiling and ready to help… I definitely recommend it.

The glamping site is very near the observatory deck of Furong waterfalls. The dome tent are quite far away from each other, so you have a bit of privacy in your lawn. There's some space in the platform where you can view the Youshi river and bird watching. At night it's peaceful and you can hear the crickets while sleeping. In the morning you can hear the birds chirping. It was a pleasant stay thought they were not able to provide the breakfast buffet because there were few guest around. But they were able to provide me a simple meal for my breakfast. The hotel also provides free pick-up service to and from the Train station.

I stayed in a King Room with a scenic balcony, and the stilt house offered fantastic views. Opening the balcony door revealed the ancient town and mountain scenery, and the night view after the lights came on was especially atmospheric. The inn itself has an antique charm and a unique character, with a distinctive root carving tea table in the public area. The free pickup service was a thoughtful touch, and the price was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!
